Pleasant, fun atmosphere with excellent wait staff. Very friendly. Food was really good. Only negative was short-staffed in the kitchen and wait was a bit long. However, not a reason not to give it a go.

    Homemade bbq from fosters! Delicious

Been here only a few times but food has always been great. Nice laid back atmosphere as well.

4/9/24. Chopped burger and battered fries served with mayo and a pickle.

Just stopped here for a bite while passing through town. I like the eclectic decor. Not a lot of choices on the menu if you have food intolerances. But I rolled the dice and ordered a couple of tacos without cheese (Taco Tuesday special). They were pilled high with a street corn style topping. It was very messy but good. Just ask for extra napkins. My husband ordered a burger with fries. The patty seemed to be chopped and sautéed with red onion. He didn't mind that and said it was good. Just be aware if you want an intact patty that you may need to ask for it to be prepared that way, lol! Fries were great! There was only one person working the bar and tables but she hustled and was very helpful and friendly. Food took a while to come out so I assume they were short in the kitchen as well. Good food and service despite being short staffed.

    The atmosphere

We were passing through on a trip and stopped in here for dinner. Excellent service! Our waitress was Mallory. We had the broccoli bites appetizers and I had the frisco burger and my husband had the classic burger. Yum!! Loved the atmosphere. Recommend it.

Found this online while staying in Ghent, WV. Made the drive in a winter storm and didn't regret it! Friendly staff member made sure we had any questions answered. Took the time to explain why they weren't currently serving what we actually set out to eat that evening. We were initially disappointed that we found an older menu online with different items; but, we went with wings and the fries loaded with cheese, bacon and sour cream. Yum! You can't go wrong with that! The fries were huge and enough for two people and we were extra thankful the gentleman gave us that info beforehand. The old style atmosphere with stained glass and dark wood was unique and helped me fall in love with the place--I loved the "cheers" type atmosphere. We would definitely come back here next time we're around this area.

We stopped at Beckley for the night due to it being half way to Pinehurst from Cincinnati. To start the building on the outside and inside had a really cool vibe and neat decor. We sat at the bar and the young lady tending bar took our drink order immediately. The choices were basic but solid. She answered our questions and steered us towards the wings and pork Mojo tacos. I wasn't sure about the sauces so went with the vampire (garlic and medium). The food came out and this is where our experience turned from good to great. The tacos were huge with tons of mouth watering pork. Absolutely delicious. The wing were also done perfectly and the size was good. I like my sauce hotter so when I asked Kenny, who made our food, for something spicier he suggested the Chernobyl sauce. This is a sauce he makes from scratch. It may be the BEST wing sauce I have ever had. It was hot but it had an amazing Smokey flavor. It was so good my wife put it on her tacos. FANTASTIC sauce Kenny! It was such a pleasure to visit with you. We then met Gary who was also sitting at the bar. Gary is a local artist who does some cool canvas work but he also grows peppers for the restaurant and makes hot sauce for them. He could not have been nicer and really informative to talk with about his sauce recipes. Now I am a southern boy so I know hospitality, but the fact Gary walked back to his home to bring me a bottle of his homemade cayenne pepper sauce left me speechless and humbled. Thank you Mr Gary! To say we enjoyed this experience is a huge understatement. The vibe, food and hospitality were just amazing. Thank you for a great evening!

This is my kinda place. Nice old school bar with good food and drink specials. The Ruben sandwich was excellent. This is a very cool bar where you will be treated like family. Nice local beer selection too. I like it.

I went to the desk and ask Roxanne about the restaurant. She told me that she'd heard good things about it that the cooks have been there for 18 years so we decided to eat there. We sat down at the bar our bartender was Trena She was awesome. We ordered a beer and decided on the Margarita Flatbread and a side salad. We moved to a table for a little more room and comfort.Trena brought us out homemade potato chips. They were really good When the margarita flatbread came out no red sauce. instead, it was chopped sweet, red tomatoes. They were so good on that flatbread.Just tomatoes cheese and balsamic glaze on top. The side salad was good also. We didn't get the cucumbers and onions on it. They have a limited menu, but the three things that we had were really good. We also had breakfast there the next morning. We would definitely stop by on our way through just to eat one of those margarita pizzas

Mind you, the restaurant was not packed, but they seated us in between two tables when there were at least 6 other open tables in the room. Server was quick, friendly. I ordered breadsticks, not realizing that they provide bread for the table (I made the assumption they didn't based on the menu having bread and breadsticks listed). The breadsticks were a very odd texture - seemed doughy but they were not undercooked, lots of butter & garlic. I had the stuffed shells for my entree. My salad consisted of lettuce and cut up tomatoes (which I hate), nothing more. Therefore I had lettuce with my French dressing. The entree came out quickly and looked great. However, the ricotta on the inside of the stuffed shells was super creamy and not very tasty. The sauce was ok, not sweet enough for my liking, but not bad either. The shells themselves were al dente, but seemed chewy. My husband had the shrimp cocktail, which he enjoyed. He ordered the chicken parm with spaghetti as his side. The chicken parm looked great, but seemed to be a frozen chicken patty that was deep fried and drenched in sauce/mozzarella. The spaghetti was pretty good. Overall, meh. Won't be back, but we had something to eat and supported local not a franchise so there's that.
