The photographers, their company, and any staff involved in this planning should be ashamed of themselves for their egregious misrepresentation, dishonesty, and disregard for the safety of children, teachers and staff. I didn't even get a digital copy. They are not up to date on technology. Their computers were also extremely old. They didn't want me to have digital copies of my own photos so they made me come back multiple times to look at the pictures and then decide which ones I wanted. Despite being depressed that it took my husband 10 minutes to find our photographer after I looked for weeks, almost immediately after looking at Michael's website we knew that we had found our photographer. Michael's work was excellent. Sure, there were a couple of shots that in retrospect I would have liked and there are a few shots where I'm disappointed that there was something in the background that shouldn't have been. However, he perfectly captured the day--from getting ready, to some portraits, to taking shots of the sunset and storm. We really wanted a photographer that wouldn't take over the day and evening. Michael listened to that, and he was a personable fly on the wall all evening. He joked with us during portraits, making them tolerable, and then let the rest of the evening happen organically. He took multiple candids throughout the event that still make me smile every time I look at them. He took a nice mix of black-and-white and color photographs and took some "artsy" photos as well. I would highly recommend Michael Nesmith for events and portraits. He was is a professional, highly talented photographer with a great eye. The wedding package we selected had everything we wanted and was extremely reasonable. He had the photos back to us within a few weeks and even apologized for the delay (although I don't think 2 weeks is a long time to wait). I was very particular about the style of photos that I liked, and Michael's pictures stood out. During the interview he brought tons of wedding albums (all different kinds and at different price ranges), a folder with example pictures and his package price breakdown and more importantly, he showed me weddings from start to finish. He went to school for photography and specializes in black & white photos (which are beautiful). I was looking for brightly colored photos, but to have a photographer who can do both and do them very well is great. And he is really organized, while he goes around doing table pictures, he will hand out cards (which have the bride & groom's pics) with the website where your wedding pictures will be displayed. Even though he lives in NH, he will gladly come into Boston to meet with you and he will travel anywhere for your wedding. He is very accomodating and is quick to respond over email - which is a very important quality in your photographer. I liked him immediately. He also has really great packages for even the budget bride which include a CD with all the high-def pictures. I will need to write a review once the wedding is over, but I have a great feeling about him.
