I emailed Anthony on 2 separate occasions regarding the niche and I did not receive a response (within a month time). I called a few months later expressing my frustration about Anthony's nonresponse and was told that I would receive a call back within a business day (after leaving a message with one of the associates there). I did not receive a call back. By now, I'm extremely frustrated. I spent 15K for my father's plot with no niche and no response. I called back a second time and asked my call to be elevated to a supervisor or someone that can assist me. I spoke to Melissa - she was extremely communicative and responsive, or so I thought. I paid 1.6k for the niche immediately and asked for estimated time of completion. Office's response on Jan 19th - "I have to wait for the file to get back from accounting then I can submit the order. It normally takes 10 business days to receive the layout for you to review. Once it's approved by your family, It takes 4 to 6 weeks for engraving to be completed. I should have the layout for you by the end of January." It is March 16, I just received the layout to be approved. This is far from the 10 business days, more like almost 2 months. I think the sloths at the DMV work faster and are more responsive.

The staff were also compassionate professional. From the day one when we met Ed we were treated with respect and compassion and before we signed the contract everything was clear. During the contract preparation phase there were multiple errors, misstatements, and rewritten contracts by Denise. Mark, the supervisor intervened so we trusted them, hoped for the best, and continued through the process. We wrote them a check 10/2/25 (that was cashed 10/3/25), as full payment for our preneed selection. We were advised the "Deed" would be sent to us within 30-60 days. There was a 3-day cancellation clause that was signed during the preparation phase. After that period had subsided I started receiving a multitude of emails and phones calls advising I needed to (re)sign the cancellation clause. After comparing the new document to the prior one (signed) I realized Denise forgot to enter the effective date. So I signed it again, and sent it to her. Then I received additional emails about the same issue - blaming Adobe Acrobat Sign for not having me sign in the right place. That was finally resolved - and a moot point since the 3-day cancellation period had passed. It's now 4 months later, and I had to reach out to them to see where the Deed is since we haven't received ANY communication from them. Mark was apologetic, stated the office manager just completed it today, and they would be mailing it today. They emailed me a .pdf copy and the document is postdated to 1/31/26. I don't understand why when they have been earning interest and/or paying bills with over $7k of our money for 4 months. I would think it would be backdated to 10/2/25 or at least dated for today. Thank God we didn't need it between times. The repeated errors and lack of follow through is unacceptable. I can't blame the office staff because I had no direct dealings with them. But Denise and/or Mark should have followed through to assure a sale made through their area was successful and had been completed long before 1/22/26. The property is well tended to but they clearly need additional oversight in how to provide quality preneed customer service (from the signing of contracts to the mailing of crucial documents). Terribly disappointed. Can't recommend at this time.

My family and I have been to this mortuary several times in the past to pay our respect to our departed loved ones. The service was a peaceful one. Traditional Chinese music was softly playing in the background while video slide show of my aunt and her family were displayed. Poems were read by two of my nieces and memories were shared by my cousins. One of my cousins mentioned the family lived in East Oakland on 22nd Avenue in the 60's. I told him where the home was and it was a duplex. Oh, what wonderful childhood memories from over 60 years ago, and this service was a celebration of life. As always the employees are compassionate, helpful and pleasant despite the sadness of the loss of a loved one. We loved our mother, aunt, grandmother, great aunt, sister, sister-in-law, but God loved her the best and called her home. Sunset: July 4, 2023. Rest in Peace.

Staff member Maria Karger, who initially assisted me, was most helpful throughout the process. The Inurnment of my Dearly Departed took place on April 25th, 2025.

It is a very peaceful cemetery with beautiful views. I recently lost my 99 year old uncle I was caring for. He had already purchased a crypt in the wall with pre-need insurance for everything else. The office staff (Maria and Rosario) were very understanding, compassionate and helpful. They set me up with Tony Tran, one of the Family Service Advisors, to coordinate final arrangements with the church and mortuary. I highly recommend working with Tony during your time of need. He really helped me out greatly with all the forms required and answered all my questions. He has lots of experience working with families in grief. He was present during the entombment to ensure everything was coordinated with the priests and staff. I highly recommend St. Mary's Cemetery for your pre-need arrangements and when the need arises.

I truly felt an instant feeling of safety and trust. Sometimes we're lucky enough to get guidance. David is kind, sympathetic and morale. I spent the next several years feeling secure for when the time came. One of the few things I was able to feel secure about. When my husband did pass in the middle of the night in the veteran hospital hospice, they knew to call Honor. Because it might take time for Honor to arrive, the hospital wanted to take my husband to their mortuary and I refused saying we would wait for Honor. I trusted them and knew he'd be in good hands and those feelings were right. The gentleman who arrived to take my husband helped the nurse prepare him so when he came out of the room he was draped in the American flag. With everything else my husband and I went through with the change in care facilities, finances, and just 'handling it all' as my husband's condition worsened over the years, David's honesty and compassion took this step off my shoulders. I have purchased Honor Cremation for myself, so our children have the confidence to know everything will be taken care of. Thank you David and Honor Cremations. I was always cold even when the heat was "blasting". ATLAS did a thorough and patient analysis of our old system. They decided to double up the ducts to provide more air flow, and they also organized the flow inside the ducts: it worked. Frankly, the final cost was reasonable, considering the benefits I am getting from it. I particularly recommend Nick and Scott who supervised the project: they really looked into the project, then fixed the problem. Plus: the work was clean, and the communication great all along. Our recent experience at Fouche's Hudson Funeral Home left us feeling conflicted. While the staff was friendly and helpful as usual, we couldn't ignore some significant issues with the facility. There was a noticeable water stain on the ceiling and the carpets were old, dirty, and had an unpleasant odor. The chairs in the seating/waiting area need to be cleaned as well. A hardhat out of place in the garden area disrupted the peaceful atmosphere intended for grieving families. Additionally, dirty, and deteriorating curtains in the reception area were a letdown. Another noticeable observation was there aren't any door handles on the main front doors. You have to ring a doorbell to enter. The doorbell is very loud and sounds like cowbells! We were disappointed when we couldn't rearrange furniture for our caterers, the piece of furniture that we asked to be moved was a cabinet in the hallway that took up unnecessary space. Since we were not able to move the piece, it led to a cramped and disorganized space. This resulted in an embarrassing situation where our family had to be led outside, through a crowed storage room to access the main sitting area. The lack of live streaming services, even for an extra fee, was a setback, especially for our out-of-state relatives who couldn't attend in person. Furthermore, the delay in receiving the DVD of the services is frustrating, with repeated explanations about the need for external assistance. It has been over a month since the service, and we still have not received the DVD, so we have merely stopped asking for it. As frequent patrons of Fouche's Hudson Funeral Home, we want to continue supporting them. However, we believe that improvements in accommodations, upgrades, and facility maintenance are necessary for the company's overall improvement. We hope that management will address these concerns to enhance the experience for future visitors. read more

This funeral home must have some magic formula to making your loved ones look like they never passed away. They handled my mothers funeral services and everything was planned and carried out with precision. Tammy was very detailed and attentive to our needs while making sure everything was arranged properly. On the day of the viewing I was very nervous because I've heard horror stories from other people about their experiences with other funeral homes. Once I walked into the viewing room I was totally blown away by the way my mother looked. When I looked at her it was almost like she was in a deep sleep and she just looked so beautiful and natural. My uncle passed away in San Francisco and our family is in Minneapolis. The kindness, compassion and willingness to help in any way possible made the whole process that much easier. Most of the arrangements were done by phone and email before we were able to fly out and pick up his cremains. Donald, (I believe is his name) one of the directors, has always been helpful and supportive. During this most recent service, I also interacted with the current owners, who were kind, welcoming, and very hands-on in making sure everything was handled with care. I observed the team throughout the process -- from the initial arrangements to the day of service -- and everything was handled with respect and organization. The young man assisting with transportation was professional and well-presented, and the staff ensured the funeral procession was smooth and coordinated. Every car was accounted for, and the line remained intact all the way to the cemetery at Rolling Hills. What stands out most is their approach: they are empathetic without being overwhelming, and they do not pressure families or try to upsell services during an already difficult time. Instead, they offer options and allow families to make decisions comfortably. The decor is a bit dated, which I understand is from previous ownership, but I did overhear that updates are planned. Regardless, the level of service far outweighs aesthetics. Overall, this is a funeral home that leads with compassion, professionalism, and integrity. It's the only place I would consider using for future services, whether for burial, cremation, or arrangements.

Small details like help with parking or a vase for flowers. Beautiful views of the Golden Gate bridge. Premium lots and well kept lawns and gardens. Tons of space - lots open. A beautiful resting place like this I think is helpful for those left behind. Lovely service and some closure. I recently lost another friend without any service with family in another country and it made me realize how important all this is.

Shows more & more lawn damaged by excavator's crawler tracks drove directly across from one side to other side of the road, even on wet wet days, took lawn & mud away, digging deep into the ground left multiple tranches damaged here there with no repair actions, no respect to the dead. Today, I consider reserved my recommendation.

When we first sat down to review the arrangements with them, details that would've otherwise been overwhelming were gently presented in a manner that made us feel genuinely cared for and supported. Not once were we rushed or pressured into unnecessary upgrades. In fact, Aubrey patiently worked to fulfill our requests within budget and according to wishes. As such, our father's service beautifully reflected personalized touches that encompassed who he was and Aubrey as well as Alexus ensured that every element was handled with graceful professionalism. We were also deeply moved by Jordan Baldwin's remarkable work. The respectful attention to detail and compassionate skill with which she worked to make our father look dignified, handsome and natural brought us a great sense of peace. We are--and will remain--deeply grateful to Wilson & Kratzer but especially to Aubrey, Alexus and Jordan for not only their dedicated care, but also for honoring our father with gentle grace during his final farewell.

Accompanying me was my daughter and one of my high school classmates, Dora, to discuss what type of service I wanted for my husband with Paul. Paul is an excellent funeral director who is not only helpful but also compassionate, empathetic and so understanding. I couldn't ask for anybody than him to handle the arrangement. I find he is approachable and personable; truly a great listener. This chapel is located on the corner of High and Walnut Streets. There is a parking lot for the attendees of a funeral.

This chapel had been around forever. A lot of my relatives come here for funerals. I'd never…read morethought my time would come so soon, but we had to bury both our parents in less than a year. Paul is very direct, but also super knowledgeable and will do everything he can to make this process as smooth as possible. He's familiar with all the traditional funerals, even more than us, so we trusted him with a lot. He delivered and made sure we had everything we needed. Burying loved ones has to be the most challenging and agonizing part of anyone's life & having a reputable chapel like Colonial makes it a little less stressful. Everything was perfect. They did a wonderful job with the dressing, makeup, floral set up and all. I appreciate Colonial. The only thing I would say is the funeral home is dated, but it's been around for ages.
