They never made me seem like i was just another random walking in and it felt more like a general doctor office versus urgent care. I get the vibe most urgent care facilities want you in and out as quick as possible. This place made me feel like I was a human being. They listened to me, gave me a ton of feedback and truly tried to cover everything when trying to get me better. I had gotten really sick with that nasty whatever respiratory infection going around right before Christmas (oh I know, wonderful right?) fast forward to this past Wednesday Jan 14 when I went in. Mind you, I've already seen 2 other doctors and went to another urgent care prior to this. I'd already been on meds which didn't help. I hadn't been able to lay down to sleep in almost 2 weeks (I'd wake up coughing not able to breathe well). Long story short, I was super sick. I came in and was greeted by a wonderfully friendly staff. I'm sorry, I didn't get their names but they were wonderful. I was taken back (gosh I wanna say her name was Crystal? I'm sorry, I was still yucko and not remembering right) and immediately they got to work asking questions and truly listening. Some places make you feel rushed and cut you off. They listened to everything. I was given an xray, breathing treatment and a swab up my nose for testing. They also tried to offer a shot that would also help me, but I declined. They were super sweet about it though. Tried to persuade me but in a friendly way and when I still said no, they didn't make me feel bad about it. No judgment whatsoever. After my treatments I got some new meds and a plan. A special shout to Dr Michael Gales because he was one of the nicest doctors I've met in a while. I wish he were my regular doctor! You know how doctors offices say they'll call you back, they ACTUALLY CALLED ME BACK! Dr Gales called me with my xray results and even asked how I was doing after my treatments I had. Today, he called me again with my results for my nose swab. I genuinely felt like he cared I was getting better. Although I'm not all the way better, I was finally able to lay down to sleep. I'm telling you, it's the small things in life we take for granted. To literally everyone working at Summit Urgent Care, thank you so much. So very much for caring about me and trying to get me better. I wish I could write thank yous to every last one of you. I hope I don't need to see you guys frequently, but if I do at least I know I'll be getting the utmost support from a wonderful team. Would beyond recommend them to anyone out here. My only ding on them is I wish they weren't an urgent care and just a general doctor office. I'd go regularly! Thank you guys, thank you!

No .. you should go up to the ER instead was the reply. They do triage there. Yes I know. They do triage at all ER. They sweetly made it clear they didn't want to see me so I left. Look I get it, you don't want to stay late. But you denied me care. This was a pulled muscle and a cat bite not an ER issue. I was in a lot of pain and couldn't go driving around trying to find somewhere else to go. I spent hours at an ER for a non-emergent issue and paid hundreds of dollars. But I hope you had a nice night ladies.

For some unknown reason I was intubated and they were so reckless, I left with fat and split lips, as if I was punched in the mouth With one notable exception the nurses were terrible they were unable to find a vein for the IV, but kept trying 4 times, until I told them to get someone else that finally got the IV started While in recovery, I was feeling poorly and asked for some juice or something to eat, the nurse told me I would be released soon and can eat at home. I told her I'm a diabetic and have been fasting for more than 12 hours she then says I don't think we have anything but I'll go check , just before surgery I saw them roll a full cart of food and drinks past my stall, that nurse mentioned they are restocking the food for surgery patients, so I know they had plenty of things to eat and drink, after awhile the nurse came back with just a sandwich and nothing else no juice or anything to drink. It's as if they don't care about their patients Additionally upon arrival I parked and followed signs through a building and down a long hallway to get to a door, which on the other side had someone sitting there saying I can't come in this way. So even though it was difficult for me to walk, she made me go back the way I came drive my car to another entrance and enter the building that way. The management thinks that's an acceptable solution. Rather than having signs asking patients to use another entry, they kept the signs up directing patients to essentially a dead end. No regard to patients with poor mobility.

Appointments? What Appointments?…read more Welcome to Labcorp Palmdale, where having an appointment is just a cute idea--like unicorns or reliable public Wi-Fi. I had an 8:45 AM appointment. I showed up on time, only to walk into a packed waiting room and... no receptionist in sight. Just two sad self-check-in kiosks with patients standing in front of them like they were trying to solve a riddle from The Da Vinci Code. Spoiler: the user interface is so bad, it practically needs its own instruction manual (or a tech support hotline). Eventually, someone showed up behind the desk--then walked out from the desk to help people with the "self" check-in machines. Because why not? When I asked how long the wait was, I was told "about 40 minutes." That's right-- 40 minutes behind, less than an hour after they opened. And this isn't my first time getting hit with the old "appointment-means-nothing" routine. So here's my advice: if you absolutely must go here, don't bother booking a time. Just show up, count the number of people in the waiting area, and multiply that by 8-10 minutes per person. Voilà! That's your real wait time. If you have another option, take it. If not, bring entertainment, snacks, and maybe a folding chair. You'll need them.

By the time I arrived at ER I was in excruciating pain and at the point of passing out. From ER check-in through X-rays, Ultrasound, and being placed in a room, the care was exceptional. Medications, Vitals, and Follow-ups were handled on time and clearly communicated on the board in my room. Highest level of cleanliness you would expect to find in a hospital. The Pre-Op Experience was meticulous, attention to detail and the Post-Op Care was truly best in class. I was discharged after 3 Days with nothing but a favorable experience. My Mom was taken here on 1/6 only to be discharged without a proper diagnosis. There was no urgency of care/treatment for a biopsy to her liver. They discharged her to "PT" which didn't help. Ultimately we pulled her out and took her down to Cedar Sinai where we immediately seen by oncology and given immediate. I want people to see this so they know who/what to expect if they are reading this in the ER Room. ER Nurse Taylor: Kind and Attentive Jamie from GINP: She had to deliver hard news but you can tell she was limited on what she can say. Dr. Sette, MD: I am not sure why this physician is a resident and allowed to make calls on patients. He showed NO URGENCY to get my Mom treatment. He would do his rounds and always , everything it was an I do not know. Very disappointing bed side manner. Dr. Shafieh Makehei: I know this doctor tried her best but was also limited. She did her best to get answers from Oncology and Dr. Sette but there was just no urgency. Dr. Michael Cohen: Came to my Mom's room without reviewing her chart which baffled me considering she was there for many days. Ultimately my Mom was diagnosed with end stage cancer but not with them. The fact that I took her out of this place and took her to Cedar Sinai gave us two more weeks with her. If you are able to make the drive just do it. Or uber yourself. In 4 hours Cedar Sinai did what it took this place 4 DAYS to do. Think about that.
