There is zero security watching over us when they say that's an amenit. they check in 2 times a day with a key laser then they leave off the property not to be seen. This place has gone downhill fir the past year. COVID started 3 years ago. There's something very uncomfortable with this place. It's very scary at night. there's NO lights in the parking lots. only a few that light up a tiny corner. if ur A woman Do not move here. u won't feel safe. There are so many trees and plants throughout the property that it genuinely feels like being surrounded by nature. The layout also makes it feel more spacious than most complexes--it doesn't feel cramped or overly dense. If you value a peaceful environment, this really offers that. The office staff are consistently friendly, kind, and supportive. They've always made me feel valued as a resident (and as a person), which goes a long way. In terms of amenities, it leans more toward the luxurious side--having an in-unit washer and dryer, updated appliances, and A/C, along with access to a gym, pool, hot tubs, sauna, and even a racquetball court, has made things feel really comfortable. I also find it's just a really pleasant place to walk around, with some beautiful lookout spots and views of the water. A special shoutout to the maintenance team--they've been incredible. Always friendly, respectful, and responsive. I've consistently experienced them as timely and detail-oriented, and they're very careful and considerate when entering the home. I never had a big problem with the the "Duchess of Windsor" complex. I had a studio with an…read moreupdated kitchen ("granite" counter tops, new sink & stove, older fridge, and if you looked closely there were actually 3-4 different types of cabinets used in the kitchen but not noticeable to anyone else). The bedroom was quite large and spacious. Since there's not much space in the kitchen to eat, I ended eating most meals at a table in the bedroom. Other units even had updated bathrooms. I did not. The bathroom had an old-fashioned claw foot bathtub with two shower curtains that encircled you, pedestal sink, and window that opened to an "air shaft." It has no view, but does a good job of keeping the bathroom dry. In my unit, the closet was really long - woo hoo! Imagine at least 2 to 2.5 times the length of a normal closet. I was able to flatten & store a whole bunch cardboard boxes of my appliances and things (microwave, dvd, fans, small Christmas tree, etc.) for when I moved out. Each unit is different and may or may not be updated. So make sure you view or get photos of the exact unit you're interested in. I adored the architecture of the building especially the 5-ish feet high of ledging that surrounds the entire bedroom (it extends approximately 3 inches from the wall). I never put a nail in the walls, because I could rest all my artwork or random decorations on this ledge. The internet connection was an issue. I would have to call Ruben quite often to ask him to reset the internet. I opted for the parking lot in the back (there's only 8 or so spots available). It was nice to know your car was probably safer than on the street but a lot of the residents did not know how to park there. If everyone parks within the painted lines, someone is going to get screwed. But if you park out of the lines and leave some space for the people on the ends, it's better. I never had a problem with our neighbors at the time. Everyone was pretty quiet and I rarely saw other residents. Several of them were students who went to school nearby.

I had a ceiling fan and a pretty good view of downtown Vallejo. I was around the corner from JAX coffee, across the street from the Farmer's market, and I could walk to the Ferry. I had heard a lot of terrible things about Vallejo but I only experienced so much happiness there, especially in my GIANT apartment at the Duchess. 5 Stars!!

I literally left the apartment in the same condition that it was given to me. I do not understand how I was charged. Because of lack of time, I did not fight it. I originally wanted to transfer to a bigger unit, but the process is VERY difficult and doesn't make sense at all. It's actually almost near impossible to transfer. So if you are middle class and get pay raise and want a bigger unit, expect to stay in that same unit. I considered returning and recommending this complex to others, but not anymore after $1000 MOVE OUT costs.

This past Easter the had a egg hunt which was rather nice since these are apartments. I have lived in other apartment communities and never seen them attempted to reach out to their community like these guys do. For the residents who have children every year for back to school they do a back pack drive. Where you get a free back pack for each child full of school supplies. And for anyone who has children and runs a house hold every little bit counts. I just really love the out reach and effort they put out. The apartment themselves are quit large for the amount you pay for rent for Bay Area living. They are clean and they keep up with the out side as well. And living in a gated community is very nice. The location is ideal for people who have to commute. And living right by the bridge we get the breeze from the water and it is amazing! So just thinking of the heartbreaking experience we have just experienced with the property and especially Management AND CORPORATE is WILD. Due to a leak from an upstairs neighbor we were exposed to ASBESTOS. The building is old we get that. Completely. What we don't get and accept is the FACT that they voided CALIFORNIA CIVIL CODES AND ESPECIALLY implied warranty of habitability. I asked for a hotel. I was denied. Instead I was given keys to an empty apartment outside of my home to use the bathroom. My two choices from this company was to either stay in my home that I pay for with no bathroom or stay in an empty apartment with a working bathroom. I was also denied compensation if I stayed with family, I explained to them that I medically cannot go through this and they said that was all they were approved to do for me. My husband and I were in a recent car accident and work full time. Our time is precious and valuable to us. We have to now waste it to stumble in the middle of the night three doors down to an empty apartment to use the bathroom. Many others who lived here and currently still do have talks of taking legal action. Because of the negligence in their office, I was not informed that asbestos had been found in my home and walked in with no knowledge and worse to find my dog, sneezing and men in hazard mask and suits clearing out my bathroom. When I told the manager all she said was "We also appreciate your concern for your pet. The health and safety of our residents and their pets is important to us, and we regret any confusion regarding access to the unit while work was being performed. Additionally, I have attached a Reasonable Accommodation Request Form. If you or a member of your household has medical needs that may require an accommodation, please complete the form and provide supporting documentation from a qualified healthcare provider. Upon receipt of the requested documentation, we will be happy to review your request and assist in accordance with our reasonable accommodation process." My neighbors on the right and left are gone. They claim to have security cameras, but even their stuff has been stolen from the property. My car had its window broken last year. Upstairs neighbor's car was broken into a couple months ago right in front of our apartments in the temporary parking. As you can tell by the other yelp reviews. Many people have had issues with Harbor Park. They put in a new swimming pool, but it's gross to go down there. My window screen was ripped out at nite and security does nothing about people hanging in front of your apartment. The doors of a lot apartments like mine are all previous busted open with cracks on the side. Maintenance will come in your apartment with out your consent for non emergency repair and just say sorry after they did it.....smh...the community is not a great place for kids. To much going on here...... The only thing I can say good about this place is recently the Apartment manager Jessica that was very rude and unprofessional is gone and was replaced with Frank. On the Maintenance and repair side..Frank is on top of all of that and is definitely a great repair and maintenance man. The previous maintenance man Tony was terrible. He didn't even fix things but made them worse....smh...but on the business side....no comment lol...all I can say is we had some disagreements but still is a nice person.
