I took my son to Fountain View Urgent Care after he hurt his ankle and possibly sprained it. We checked in and waited about 45 minutes before realizing we hadn't even been checked in properly. During that time, I watched multiple patients get called up because they never received the text message the clinic supposedly sends for self check-in--just like us. Eventually, they called me up to ask the same question, and when I said I never got a message, they handed me paper forms to fill out so we could finally be checked in. It was really frustrating to sit there for nearly an hour with my injured son before anyone realized we weren't in the system. The staff were polite, but their check-in process is completely unreliable and needs to be fixed. read more

Very unprofessional. We drove all the way from Los Banos because due to a workplace injury and this place was on the closest on the list of places that that workplace would accept AND because this place was SUPPOSEDLY open on Saturdays. We get all the way out there so we can be seen as soon as it opens at 9 o'clock. NOBODY from their staff ever showed up. And there were tons of other people who showed up and waited for over an hour and a half then we all just left. If you're not going to be open on a certain day then dont have that displayed and listed as your hours of operation. VERY unprofessional! read more

My mom called ahead to see when they stopped taking patients and the lady had said 4:30pm. My mom got there at 4:15pm and refused to give her urgent service. I don't get why it's called "urgent care" when they don't even care for your urgency which is ridiculous and they close at 5pm. Don't recommend if you need urgent care. Burnice answered the phone when I called to see if they were open(New Years Day) she got silent then started laughing. Like I know my question was dumb since she answered but awful customer service. When I told Nicole, the office manger, she didn't even care. Like don't work with the public, if you can't handle the public! Someone responded to my Google review with a number to call, I called and it was Burnice! However, Dr. Courtney and I think th4 nurses name was Maria were fantastic! Bernie the receptionist answered my phone call regarding a check up and I asked if she took my insurance, prior to that she was rude and had an awful attitude. She said she can check whether they accept my insurance and right when she said she'll "check" she hung up. I kept calling back but went straight to voicemail. Took my daughter in because she has a fever for 5 consecutive days . After I was in the waiting room , I overheard the doctor talking shit out loud to other admin staff about the situation, probably questioning the parents intelligence. He then came to see me and ask questions if I was administering medicine , I told him the basic Tylenol and ibuprofen. He then asked how often, I replied back "it depends " and right at the moment , he began shaking his head and replied "no it not depends " and recommending to give me a cheat sheet on how to administer medicine and walked out the door . You cannot depend on service from this urgent care. I have driven from Chowchilla multiple times to be turned away because they are no longer taking patients 2-3 hours before closing. I do find it odd that the receptionist asked what I needed to be seen for prior to telling me they were no longer taking patients. Why ask if you are full ‍ I will admit in the past when I have been able to be seen the doctors are good. I also don't like that their hours seem to be constantly changing. I was told that the provider wouldn't see her because they weren't registering more patients an entire hour before closing. First of all if you have a fever or your children are sick they will not actually see them and take their vitals. These doctors do not do their jobs. There are other diseases out there on the planet besides Covid. They want to do your appointment over the phone. This is beyond stupid. How do you do a proper diagnosis over the phone ? you can't. You will have to call the receptionist and give her your insurance information. She was having trouble verifying my insurance and I had to go inside and insist that she call and verify it she didn't want to . She was just being lazy. I came to bring my baby here around 710pm to be seen, being that my baby wasn't seriously ill to take to ER. Their hours say they are open until 830pm . Seeing only 3 people in the waiting room I didnt expect a long wait.The person at the counter told me how can I help you and then proceeded to tell me my baby couldn't be seen but we can come back when they open in the morning . They said that there was to many people and only one practitioner working. Not exactly sure how medical offices work but they should definitely put something posted that they stop taking patients an hour before closing. read more

THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! Wow, this place is clean, NO long wait time like most places. All of the stuff was wonderful!!!!! I was seen by Doctor Miller. They are also more affordable than most places, I have no insurance for first time patient I paid $100.00 However they did give me a discount. Which was awesome! =D I was seen by Doctor Miller. He was pleasant and his nurses, receptionist, the whole staff was awesome! They actually cared about my injured foot. Doctor Miller had his nurse do a couple of X-rays on me. (Since I had a bone fracture). They mentioned that that will be billed to me separate. YES!!!! FOUNTAIN VIEW URGENT CARE IS AMAZING! I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE!!! The ladies working the counter suck. No courtesy towards you at all. Don't give me this you're so busy BS, when you spend too much time chatting about your plans for the weekend with the doctors and office personnel. Once you get to the exam room you'll be there a while, while the doctor sees other patients and chats with the ladies up front. The doctor I saw was competent and actually spent time to talk to me and listen to me. (Dr Robinette) Another doctor I saw was rude, and didn't seem like he wanted to be there. It felt like to me that it was his last day before his vacation. The guy that does the drug screening is competent and can come off as a little gruff, but usually has high volume of patients and gets you in and out as fast as possible to keep up with the flow. The only reason why I have been here so many time is because thus is where my job sends us for physicals, drug screening (annual and ramdom) and workers comp. Otherwise I would not come here unless I was in dire need of medical attention and my doctor was too booked to see me. read more

And the Dr proceeded to tell me Over and Over to which I responded...Ok! I get it! You can't take care of me. But they proceeded to do an EKG..to bill my insurance I'm sure! And then sent me to Mercy/Diginity emergency room on G st. They proceeded to say I don't know why they ***FOUNTAIN VIEW URGENT CARE***do EKG's they never treat the patients and always send them to emergency where I belonged in the first place. Crappy care and it appears to me they may be fraudulently billing insurance companies for service they apparently can Not handle. Top notch. Much better service than the place we used to go to. The staff there was superb, the Nurse we had kept us updated and was always working. Dr. Michael Courtney did an amazing job. I have been turned away more times than I have been treated here because I was supposedly too late. If it's within a couple hours of closing time, good luck getting in. All staff, from receptionists to the dr.'s, appear miserable and rushed to go home no matter the day or time. They talk bad about each other and their patients as if nobody else can hear them. The doctors hardly listen to the reason I'm there and send me home with nothing. Last time I was told "it's just a cough - stay away from dairy products for a week" but as it turned out I had severe bronchitis. read more

They denied my pregnant wife a tetanus shot after cutting herself on a rusty nail! She waited for two and a half hours to be seen even though she got there before they opened. Dr Habib Rashed was not only rude to her to the point of making her cry, he constantly interupted her and rolled his eyes when she voiced her concerns. She was told to go see her regular Dr when his office opened in 2 days. Needless to say i was not at the office with her but there will definately be a law suit if anything bad happens because of this. read more

I went there today to have my swollen tonsils examined. The woman behind the desk was kind and patient. She came off as friendly and pleasant. I had issues with my insurance and she was considerate and even gave me a cash discount. The nurse who did the strep swab was so nice and had a bubbly personality. She was gentle and even gave me advice on how to handle the discomfort. The doctor was very attentive and wanted to hear my issues. He was quick, but wonderful and efficient. I wish I had remembered to look at anyone's name tags because the staff there had been very professional and sunny!! The only reason it's is not 5 stars is because all together, from signup to walking out the door it took 2 hours to complete the visit. read more

I have been to this clinic twice. Both visits were for fairly minor issues. Upon my first visit i was simply seeking a prescription to treat athlete's foot. I waited for probably 40 minutes and saw the doctor for about 2 minutes. I did ultimately get the prescription, but I was a little put off that the doctor didn't even look at my foot. This was about two weeks ago and, at this point, I am not entirely convinced that the medication is actually working. So, this brings us to my most recent visit. Now, mind you, I am not a hypochondriac. I hadn't been to the doctor for months, if not years prior to these two visits. It just so happens that I needed another prescription for antibiotics. (long story short- lady issues and no, not an STD) I had considered visiting a different clinic since I'm new to the area and thought I'd see if there was something better around. But, being a Sunday afternoon, I'm pretty sure this was the only one open. So I arrived just after 2PM. (they were set to close at 2:30) I didn't have to wait very long and ended up seeing the same doctor. He told me I needed antibiotics and said he would call them in within a half an hour. He then verified my pharmacy with me. I said, yes that's the right one and asked again when I could pick up my script. I figured since he said he would call within a half hour and the it would take them some time to fill, I would try in about an hour. He said that would be fine. So I went to the pharmacy around 4PM and, low and behold, they hadn't received anything from the Doctor. And to make matters worse, the office was now closed and I had no way of contacting the Doctor. (did I mention that I live almost an hour and half in the mountains. Zipping down to the doctor's office or pharmacy and back home takes me the better part of a day.) He had given me his card at the last visit and it clearly said on it "after hours". So I called thinking maybe I could get him or someone else to call it in. But the operator insisted that I was not one of his patients and refused to help me. (I believe she even hung up on me.) It is possible that the operator I was speaking with was not directly affiliated with Fountain View, but the doctor certainly was. How stupid can you be- FORGOT TO CALL IN A PRESCRIPTION BEFORE YOU START YOUR WEEEKEND?! That's about as much BS as I can take- I will NEVER return here. read more

I had to take my son to the ONLY urgent care that takes our insurance & I arrived at 8pm, they close at 8:30, my son is having a hard time breathing (asthma) & they refused to see him becuz they were closing in 15 mins!!!! She told me to go to the hospital, yeah I told her they don't take blue cross anymore & she told me to see my doctor in the morning while my son is coughing non stop! Went in today to speak to a doctor. I have had a horrible migraine, nausea, and other symptoms. I haven't gotten out of bed in days. Two hrs later I was taken back to a room. An eastern Indian doctor entered the room and asked me to get up on the bed. He didn't examine me, talk to me, check me out, nothing! !! He said, "I'll give you a toradol shot- like ibuprofen any other problem, u can go to the er!" This frustrated me.. I decided to have a voice and Stand Up For Myself. I walked out and told him that ibuprofen had not been working nor does toradol. He said " I f u don't want toradol, don't take it, quit wasting your time and mine! I looked at him in disgust and replied, "waste your time? Waste your time?" .. "you just made $130 for me to come in, wait 2 hrs, and get NOTHING DONE! !!! I pay for this!!! I explained .I didn't want to put junk in my body if it wouldn't work, and why bother going to the Urgent Care. THE HAVE NO LABS, NO XRAYS, AND DOCTORS THAT RE FER YOU TO ER FOR A HEADACHE. I was experiencing pain in my lower leg and was concerned it might be a clot. I don't have a private care doctor so I came to Fountain View Urgent Care. It was 9:50 AM. I was taken back to the exam room within 10 minutes. I told the nurse what my symptoms were. She took my blood pressure which was elevated. She said that "the provider" would probably not see me because they do not have a sonogram and "it's Friday." She left the room briefly and spoke to "the provider" who confirmed that he would not see me. The nurse referred me to Mercy ED. My expectation was that the Doctor would look at my leg and provide a script for diagnostics. I will be contacting my insurance company to see if they were billed for having my blood pressure taken. If your are in urgent need of care don't go to Fountain View especially if "its Friday." read more

The doctors here are great. The wait time may appear long when the waiting room is full but they manage the office very well and get you seen quickly. My son split his chin open and they triaged him immediately and determined they wouldn't be able to do the stitches for him and didn't even charge us. We use them before primary most of the time. read more

My grandson and I have been there together several times. The front desk and the nurses have always treated us in a professional but respectful manner, this is how we treat them. We only waited to be seen as long as necessary in accordance to the severity of our situation and the amount of people already there. We have seen 3 different doctors and they all had great bedside manners and when they finished with us they immediately went to type in their reports and give instructions to the nurses. My only suggestion to folks is this; we have found that whenever possible the best time to go there is when they open up. If you can't go till closing time then it is probably best you just go to the ER because you may not get seen. read more

This urgent care is the worse place ever. These physicians seriously don't know what they're doing. I went in because I had a burning sensation while I urinate and waited 2 whole hours just to find out that they didn't find any white blood cells in my urine. The physician prescribed me Cipro even when I didn't have white blood cells. All he said was "take the pills although you don't have an infection, it'll relieve the burning sensation." Of course I didn't take the pills because I wasn't diagnosed with anything. A couple days passed and I called back to see what were the results since they said they were gonna send it out for further testing. Turns out, they never sent it out and one of the MA threw it out. Ridiculous. Don't waste money or your precious time here just for them to diagnose you with something you don't have! read more

Up front staff is mediocre. Expect to wait a while to be seen by the nurse practitioner or the physician assistant. It took a little over 1.5 hrs to get in and out. They have a tv in the waiting area/reception area, it plays some random channel. The room u wait in to get seen has some old magazines to look through. I was seen by the NP for like 10 min. The rest of the time i was just waiting cuz there were 3 ppl ahead of me. But i was expecting that. I got the prescription and advice i needed so i was satisfied. The NP was pleasant and funny. I would probably come back again if i needed too. They sent over my prescription to my pharmacy really fast. So that was good. read more
