Went there about a week ago to get ice cream for myself. I ordered a regular sundae with cherry vanilla ice cream and hot fudge. Girl asked me if I wanted whipped cream and a cherry and I said yes. (Why do they ask, if it's part of the sundae then it should automatically come with it without being asked ; you should need to tell them you don't want it!) Girl handed me my sundae and as I walked away I took a taste and it was horrible. The ice cream had melted and refrozen. It was the consistency of a bad slushy. I took it back and they replaced it. I could see the empty container and knew they scraped it out of the bottom. Also, the whipped cream was not sweet and had no flavor. Knowing the ice cream was bad, why would they try to serve it to a customer? I find this company to be over priced. For the price of two ice creams here, I can go to Olivia's on Rt. 33 and get 3 for less. I stood in line for 15 minutes just to leave and don't order anything because the young lady was unsanitary. My father ordered a sugar free banana ice cream, the young lady used her bear hands that she just finished playing in her hair with to make the ice cream cone. Not much to complain about. I got a small peanut butter chocolate milkshake and it was really good. It had just the right amount of thickness. I think they use whole milk in it but it worked well, probably thanks to the thickness of the peanut butter. The prices were fairly high but at least you get a good amount. Service was just okay. Four Boys Ice Cream shop runs an excellent business! Firstly the Ice Cream is fantastic, secondly Fours Boys gives back to the community as they hire many teenagers from the neighborhood. The portions are tremendous while the prices are very reasonable. 3 small cups and a cone was $15. In reality the small cup at Four boys is a large at other ice cream stores. There have a large variety of hard ice cream, my kids had the butter pecan, cappuccino chip and chocolate brownie, rave reviews. I tasted all of them and really enjoy the cappuccino. Four boys offers the standard Vanilla, chocolate and twist in their soft ice cream, excellent as well. They will dip a cone or cup which is a wonderful benefit for those of us who don't want to handle a messy cone. Shakes are floats are also available on top of Banana splits and Brownie sundaes. There is plenty of parking. Seating is available outside only. Four boys is a great place to visit after a visit to Thompson park or a meal in downtown Jamesburg. Check them out. read more

Went there on a Friday and the soft serve chocolate was runny and the rainbow sprinkles were hard as a rock. Went back the following Thursday as we were nearby. I had several orders and all required soft serve chocolate. It was soup, the only thing I could order was a chocolate shake that was on my list. I called my sister to see what else she might want, turns out they were out of FIVE hard ice cream flavors. Walked away with just the shake. This past Friday, my friend and I were going again, this time I called to make sure the soft serve machine was functioning and when we got to the window, I asked for a sample of the sprinkles. They were fine and we enjoyed our ice cream. While waiting in line, 2 separate people walked away without their ice cream after asking for their money back...mysterious. This place is a hidden gem in Jamesburg! I settled for their black cherry vanilla on a waffle cone and I was pleasantly surprised at the portion sizes when I received my cone. They don't skimp out on the ice cream here, that's for sure. I took my family to the local ice cream store and I was very surprised that they do not accept credit cards. This is 2020 and contactless payment should be the standard to prevent the spread of COVID-19. After paying for the ice cream, I received 4 very melted cones. This just tells me their refrigeration systems is inadequate to keep their products cold and delicious! I had a lick but the ice cream was dripping all over so I had to ask the store if they can replace it. The employee revised and I had to toss it. My only advice to the store owner is to repair or replace your equipment that is failing and purchase a new POS that can handle contactless payments from Apple or Google or tap to pay credit cards. My advice to potential customers is go somewhere else for your cold ice cream. My family of 3 went to Four Boys for ice cream one day and much to my dismay they didn't take credit cards (only negative to this place). I scrounged up $6 and found I could get 2 soft ice cream kids cones. I figured they'd be tiny so I'd give one to my wife and son and maybe just take a taste of theirs. The cones came out and they were the size of medium cones at the popular ice cream chain I worked at. I'm not even exaggerating. All 3 of us had plenty and it tasted great too! There were about SEVEN of us, so we spent a reasonable amount of money in that visit. While he was in line, he overheard the two young girls working at the counter saying that someone had "stolen their tips" from the tip jar. Like my mother really needed the pocket change in that jar. My fiance said they even eyed HIM with suspicion. Mind you, we were a party of SEVEN and had just spent more money than everyone in that line. It just so happened that my fiance saw a fourth girl working behind the counter come and empty out the tip jar. He told them that, and they immediately looked apologetic. He also made sure to let them know that he didn't appreciate them accusing my mother of stealing from them after we just spent so much with them. In fact, we even left TIPS for them, so the majority of the money in the jar was money we gave them. Located right across the street from Thompson Park in Jamesburg and next to small Italian Restaurant. My family and I pass this Ice Cream shop all the time. Since first trying this spot 2 years ago, we've been frequenting this spot for several times a month. The ice cream here is delicious and fresh. We usually get the vanilla soft serve cones and the kids get them with toppings. The texture of the ice cream is very dense and creamy and it doesn't melt right away. Theres some spots outside to side, eat, and chat with friends and family. It gets quite busy here during the summer but the kids that work here definitely do a good job keeping the line moving and giving out generous portions! I ordered my usual hot fudge sundae with hard vanilla ice cream. The whole excitement of getting HOT FUDGE is to eat the warm chocolate fudge with the cold hard ice cream!! I dug so hard to get to the bottom (hoping to reach the hot fudge) that it ripped the bottom of styrofoam right out. And STILL no hot fudge.
