Was headed to Jamesburg today for some of Gene's chilidogs, but his truck and trailer were not there, so we decided to try Bovine Burgers. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and seated at a high top in the middle of the room with views of the flat sceens. The place isnt too big, maybe 20 tables or so and a bar with maybe 10 chairs. Place is very clean. There was only one other party being served when we arrived at around 11:45. Our waitress greeted us and took our order. The room is lively which I had not noticed when we walked in. However, by the time our waitress brought our waters, almost all other tables were full and the volume was starting to get loud. At that point it was hard to hear the TVs. Within a few minutes there was a line at the door. The three people working the counter and tables were scrambling to keep up. They did their best, but if this is the normal lunch crowd, they could use some more help in the front of the house. The kitchen was keeping up but the food was sitting on counter waiting for pickup. Again, not the staff's fault. They were moving fast and keeping calm. There was at least as much orders to go as for inhouse. Kudos to them for their positive and friendly attitudes while getting slammed. Our burgers and fries came pretty quickly. Burgers are decent size (6oz) and cooked medium. I had blue cheese and George had cheddar. The fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Although they have a full service bar, it was too early to enjoy. I will definitely return with my family. Amazing and unusual burger joint. Stopped in for dinner while in town on a whim. So glad we did. I tried the Yous Guys burger and it was fantastic! Patty topped with cheese, pork rolls, fried egg, shredded lettuce and caramelized onions. Fries are separate so I tried the chilli instead. The chilli was like hot dog chilli with beans. I got cheese added on which to my surprise was liquid nacho cheese instead of normal shredded cheese. I wasn't sure about this but it actually worked. My daughter got the kids hot dog with fries. Very reasonably priced. They have a bar and tiny merch section. Several TVs on the wall. Along the wall they even have free charging stations with plugs for all types of phones. All the staff were extremely friendly. Great little find on our journey. read more

I was in the mood for a burger and decided to try this place. I was not disappointed. It's not a big location 10 - 15 tables? We were nicely greeted and seated immediately. Our server Emily was very polite during our time here. I had the Bovine Melt, my wife the basic cheeseburger and both were delicious. French fries and onion rings are an additional price but not unreasonable. When the bill came it was less than 5 Guys which is definitely more of a fast food place without a waitress. Third time buying from BB, and everything my family has had has been delicious; fresh, flavorful, and excellent. Even the turkey burgers are great! Fries are crispy on the outside and perfect in the middle, and the shakes are THIC. Yummy. Service is super personable, v friendly and kind staff. Prices are reasonable as well! Pretty solid burger spot with a good menu! A small local burger joint and that's exactly what you get! Burgers are great, and a ton of great options on the menu for burgers. Definitely a good place to swing by to grab a great burger and milkshake. Careful fries are separate! Onion rings are amazing. Jamesburger is one of my favorites. I have never had a bad time at this place. The service is great the burgers and fries are delicious. They even have a bar which is a plus. They have themed nights like comedy shows a trivia night and live bands. Last time I went out there were 3 of us and it cost $75 with the tip no booze. Check them out. We always enjoy the wonderful burgers and fries at Bovine! Kyle makes everyone feel welcome and always has a big smile. This afternoon we had the pleasure of meeting Corinne who was our bartender and server. She did everything right and was a delight to be around. We had a great dinner here the other night! My father who is 88 enjoyed a big ol' burger, loaded with all kinds of toppings. The fries were not bad either. I don't eat meat, but they had a great couple of veggie burger options and I went with one of those (Beyond Burger, I think?). It was great. Onion rings were five-star. Stephanie was our server and she was GREAT! Really good service--very personable and an overall great experience. Juicy flavor filled burger, brioche buns brought in daily from Brooklyn and very warm and welcoming management. On our way back from Icarus Brewery, we were looking for a good Burger and beer locations. Yelp suggested this place. When we drove up, it looked closed and in a weird location. Once inside, rustic and and Texas Roadhouse feel. Rock on the overhead music. We were greeted immediately by a server and sat next to the TV. Server was quick to get our drink and food order. Amanda ordered the Blues Bros and I ordered 'shroom swine bovine with large Diablo fries. Both messy and very delicious. The fries were not spicy yet seasoned good as well. Price was very reasonable. We haven't visited since before they got a liquor license; I'm glad to see them doing so well. We used to have to order at the counter, but now they have table service too. Three of us had burgers, we shared a large order of fries and I ordered from the bar: their version of a Tom Collins called a "Tom Cow-lins." (I'm not sure why the interesting name.) It was tart and refreshing. The burgers were very good - everything was hot & fresh, including the fries. Very cool vibe & they played good music (maybe a tad too loud for my taste), but I couldn't help singing along. The only thing that keeps this from being 5 stars is, they cook all burgers well done. They tasted mostly moist, however, there were a couple dry bites. But don't let that stop you from visiting- they have lots of other menu items too. read more

Great local place! Burgers, fries, & shakes what more would you want?! Been going here since the beginning and man has it changed. They host events on Tuesdays (family feud) and Thursdays (trivia). Have yet to go to family feud but trivia is very fun. Been a few times and they give prizes each round for first place. They now serve alcohol at their bar. read more
