The hard drives already removed and I finally loaded them in my car and took them to the E-Waste LA. The location is on the corner and you turn into a little alleyway and park. I put my hazards just in case and I walked into the little area where the shop is. I didn't see anyone but the Ring loudly said "hi you are being recorded" and that's when the kind owner came out. I told him what I had and he brought a trolley to my trunk and helped me unload. He sad thank you and then he took them. I didn't have any charge for leaving them. I know if I had hard drives in the computers he would have been able to destroy them in front of me for a small fee each. I read other people's reviews that they were charged for some things they dropped off, I'm not sure what would warrant a fee. At the shop i saw all kinds of things like old tvs laying there. It's nice knowing that this stuff can avoid the landfill and hopefully they can recycle the parts or dispose of them safely.

Estrada recycling is literally walking distance from me. Walking up the street and the place is okay. Plenty of parking and the attendant is nice. We chop it up all the time. I used to go to another one but they closed down by the swap met. I'm not sure if they are good for pricing but it's convenient to me. Can't say much about knowing the value but two bags worth got me 16 bucks today. They could work on the cleanliness of the area.

The truck came by on the scheduled date and had everything ready for the tech drive, providing us with 4 pallets and 4 cardboard boxes. The school loved the initiatives, and we got more donations than expected! Technician quickly removed drives and after paying nominal fee, walked me over the the machine to watch the drives get demolished. They took the machines for recycling or waste. My kids like to save their recyclables and get the reward of a few dollars to play with. Normally I let them get out with me to help weigh everything. But the way this place was situated it was in an alley where only really the people recycling could see is. So k had them wait in the car while I tried to quickly take care of business. The man working was nice enough. But the area and set up made me feel uncomfortable. So I wouldn't go back there, especially not with my kids with me.

I build a great relationship where I know the workers and we chat! I don't know whats good pricing for plastics, glass, or aluminum. But I feel like I'm doing a great job recycling. The only bad thing I'd say about it is that the plastic trash cans they have are mostly bent and old. I don't trust the actual weight on there. But that's it. They open at 8am and closes at 5pm. Now it's about that time to blast off to look for another place to leave you an honest review about!
