Had the best time ! Went with some friends on Friday night- the staff were all great and fully based on our suggestions and full improv. It was very entertaining. We all enjoyed it and we were apart of the show haha but highly recommended for a fun girls night ! We stayed behind afterwards and talked to the actors and they were all so great and friendly !

    Non stop laughing.

What a talented troupe! This is a great night out-- it's the epitome of live entertainment! We haven't laughed so hard in ages. It was all awesome -- from the interactive crowd participation elements, the comfy front sofa, the super bartenders, the hilarious comics, we had the best night. Can't wait to return -- it's never the same show twice!! Bravo!

Great venue during Dallas Tiki Week to end the festivities. With Bamboo Ben and Son.

So funny! The show is improv & works off of audience engagement. There's a mix of seating between love seats & dining chairs. Arrive early if you want one of the love seats at the front. The bar service is fast & friendly. Definitely recommend checking it out!

Pros: super fun night out! Not just your typical dinner and drinks Saturday night. Cons: tip to get to the theater close to when they open doors at 7 for the best seats since there is no assigned seating so can by trickier for larger groups. Went to Four Day Weekend for my sister's birthday. We were looking for something that wasn't just dinner and this was exactly it! The improv show took audience suggestions and turn words and phrases into songs and skits. The bartenders were super nice and made great drinks too. We would definitely come back and have recommended to friends. This is something that you can totally do more than once since the show is different every time you go. Tickets were super reasonably priced as well.

Came here for the first time Saturday night. I wasn't sure what time expect, but it was fantastic and I can't wait to come back again! FYI they only offer drinks, no food available. Limited parking but if you arrive before 7:30 pm you should be able to get a spot in their lot. The only downside is if you are plus size the chairs are very small and uncomfortable so best bet is getting a spot on the sofas. I didn't get a chance to check upstairs to see if there was better seating or not

Get to the show early so you can get the seat you want and write on a sticky note!

The absolute best!! If you're in Dallas, you HAVE to go! It's like SNL, Improv, and Dueling Pianos had a baby. They do a lot of fun, interactive things with the crowd too. Great drinks, phenomenal talent, good vibes, MUST see!

What an incredibly entertaining and fun event we experienced at 4 Day Weekend! The venue is unique and cool, the staff was great, the comedy team was brilliant and hilarious! This is a great place to take a date, hang with a group of friends, even take the family if the kids are old enough to hear just a few 'adult' words here and there (nothing raunchy). And the drink prices won't break the bank either. So awesome that these folks share their talents in this unique way. You will enjoy it!

You can Bring Your Own Booze (BYOB) which also saves you money. We brought bottles of beer, and the box office had a bottle opener we could use to pop them open. There was no corkage fee, but they aren't going to be providing glasses or ice, nor will they pour your beverage for you. If you need a snack during the show, they offer some concessions at the box office window. It looked like candy, chips, and canned soda were available for sale. Before the late show, someone setup a table to sell multi-colored popcorn. It's not dinner, but it will tide you over until you can eat a proper meal elsewhere. The venue is located in a business park with plenty of free parking outside. There was a police officer parked in the lot and making the rounds. Not sure if that is par, but the business park seemed like a clean and relatively safe area. It's not the Ritz, but it isn't dive bar quality either. The walls are painted black and decorated with colorful panels. Metal stacking chairs with built in cushions are lined up nicely with at least one small table squeezed in each row. You could move the chairs if you felt you needed a little more elbow room. There are no arm rests. The low table allows you to set your drinks and snacks down so you can clap for the entertainment, but you'll need to get there early to score a spot next to one. The front row has two, 3-seater, plush couches. We got there early enough to get one of those seats, but opted to avoid the potential punishment of sitting in the front row of a comedy show. The comics during the early show were from Austin, San Antonio and Dallas. It was mostly local talent. Both men and women performed short sets of maybe 10-15 minutes. There were about 5 different comics that performed during the early show. Each comic had a monologue with some gems and some duds. This is raw talent, not polished TV fodder, but entertaining just the same. The late show was a special show. I wish we could have stayed for it, as the publicity for it was originally how we found out about this place. The venue is also offering improv classes. You'll have to check their website for prices and a schedule. Improv classes are for everyone, and everybody who takes them can benefit from learning to think out of the box, to integrating spontaneous creativity in their life, and to fostering better communication with others. This place is a good bargain for those looking for a night out without breaking the bank. Since my hubby is cheap, I'm sure we will be back.

This was my family's first time in Dallas. We did some bar hopping before hand and ended up walking into Frankies and downstairs to the show at Sharkys on a whim. i believe it was $15 a person which seemed like a fair price for laughs and a good show. The comedians we saw perform were overall not very funny. The small crowd the place did manage to draw was pretty dead. laughs were few and far between but we were trying to have fun regardless. Comics attempting to roast people were mostly appropriate but at a certain point went way too far with it. It came across as insults rather than poking fun. It actually made me pretty uncomfortable, needless to say, we left early and i doubt we will ever come back. This is a first for me as far as paying for a show and leaving early... not a great impression. The Owner seems like a pretty good guy... maybe it was just a bad night? I dont know, but it left a pretty cruddy stain on the otherwise great time we had in a new city.

They weren't charging a cover at the door like they normally do. Personally, I think that door charge needs to go away completely. The seating arrangement is also a little awkward. If you come with one other person and only take two seats at a shared table, someone else can end up sitting directly across from you. I understand it's a live music venue, but when you're trying to eat and carry on a conversation, sitting face-to-face with strangers can feel uncomfortable. I've been coming to The Free Man for years, and I always order the Cajun wings. They've always come tossed in the Cajun sauce. Last night, they came out dry with the sauce served on the side. I asked about it, and I was told, "That's how they do it now." Since when? It honestly felt like my order was made incorrectly and they just put the sauce on the side to fix it. If that really is a new policy, why is the kitchen deciding that for customers? At the very least, ask whether we want the sauce on the side or tossed. I also noticed the wings seemed overcooked--the meat near the bone had a very dark brown color that I wasn't a fan of. The Cajun fries were still excellent, as always. I also ordered the red beans and rice. They were okay. Someone definitely got a little heavy-handed with the hot sauce. The rice was cooked well, but overall it was just average. For drinks, I ordered a ginger beer. Mine came in the can, while the person I was with received theirs poured over a cup full of ice, which watered it down. I would rather have the can and decide how much ice I want. I've also been hearing from other reviews that a 20% gratuity is automatically added. I didn't notice that on my bill, which makes me wonder if it was already included because the suggested tip amounts seemed unusually low. If gratuity is included, just be transparent about it. Don't make customers feel like they should leave an additional tip because they weren't clearly informed. Now for the best part: the band was fantastic. They're the reason I continue coming back. The Free Man has always been one of my favorite places for live music, but it feels like some of the little details have started slipping. People come here for great food, great music, and a relaxed atmosphere with like-minded people. Don't make the experience more complicated than it needs to be.
