I went to The Bomb Factory a couple weeks ago to see Queen Herby, and it was my first time at the venue. The place is huge, clean, and surprisingly accommodating for such a big space. My ticket was standing‑room only, and I'll be honest, my feet tapped out halfway through the show. That's on me, not them. Next time I'm bringing better shoes or the stamina of a 20‑year‑old. It hurt to leave, because I didn't get to hear my favorite song, but my shoes came off as soon as I got to my truck... so there's that... The staff was friendly, the crowd was great, and the whole place had a fun vibe. Drinks were a little pricey, but let's be real... if you go to a concert expecting bargain‑bin cocktails, you're probably new here. Parking was the only part I didn't love. I ended up farther out than I wanted, in an area that felt a bit sketchy, but it worked out fine. Once inside, the experience was solid, and I'd definitely go again, maybe with a seat next time, and maybe after doing some calf stretches. Overall, The Bomb Factory is a clean, lively venue with good people and a great atmosphere. Even with my early exit, I had a good time. Onward and upward to the next concert I go!!! read more

I visited The Bomb Factory to attend the World Of Dance competition and it was. Nice time. There were thousands of dancers swarming the place, but there was still room to not feel completely crowded. Although they offered seating down low, it was constantly rotating on availability depending on the performers. If I wanted to find a seat, I could have. I mostly stood near the bar which wasn't too crowded since it was an all ages event. After standing there for about 2 hours, they did ask us to move to the end of the bar for potential customers .. there never really were more than 3 people ordering at a time, but we still moved. We got tall boy White Claws and it was the perfect sipper drink. The lighting and sound was good for the experience here and they had plenty of vantage points (including a VIP upper floor). Security wasn't bad, I didn't bring a bag, so I breezed through. There's a large parking structure right behind the TBF, so walking over was very easy too. We did initially have handicap people in our group who opted not to attend after we shared that the surrounding sidewalks were not very level and that the amount of people might be a little tricky for navigating with a walker. I haven't been to the bomb factory in years. I went on a Thursday night and saw Meredith Marks at the bomb factory. We Ubered, so we didn't have to worry about parking. Ubers pick you right up in front of the doors so that's nice. I think this is the cleaner concert venue in Dallas. The bar and bartender are all very nice and do a great job. It's was definitely packed but we were able to get our drinks quick. This is a great general admission venue! read more

Bomb Factory is my favorite music venue in Dallas! The security is amazing. When you have metal bands, there's gonna be crowd surfing and moshing and wild behavior. Most places ban moshing & crowd surfing ruining the whole point of a hardcore show. Bomb Factory embraces the metal community and staffs security accordingly. These guys were on top of it. The staff also passes out water between bands to make sure people are hydrated even if they waited outside all day to get in and won't leave to get water because they don't wanna lose their spot. The bathrooms are clean, friendly staff directs traffic. My only gripe is the merch line because it snakes through the bathroom and bar lines and it's a mess at the end of the show of everyone trying to leave or use the bathroom or close their bar tabs. The whole setup was great!! All lines were well explained and set up to get everyone into the venue quickly and orderly. Security was also quick and orderly, and every employee we encountered was kind - but Caitlyn was exceptionally kind and helpful. She made sure she was out checking on everyone all day giving us updates on when we'd line up and how things would go. She kept us well informed. They put out water jugs for everyone (and trash cans). I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the outside of the venue was - it didn't stink, there wasn't ick on the ground and the hours we spent out there were pretty pleasant, even in the 96° Dallas heat! The merchandise line was also very organized. There were several employees helping us all which made the sale quick which got us out on the floor fast. The bar tenders were busy but quick and also kind. Restrooms were clean and orderly. The tiered stage was great for those of us that are vertically challenged and really wanted to watch the bands and Keshi. And the crowd was pretty amazing, too. All in all this was a very well organized venue and we had a great time! Special thanks to Caitlyn and all the staff at The Bomb Factory for making our night (and day) memorable! The lighting is complete shit. We watch the show and the lights behind the performer were all working great so he was backlit, but they never bothered to use the lights that were hanging over the crowd to put the spot lights on the front of the performer so you never could see much of the actual show. This same show was not lit like this on purpose because in other cities you could see the full show. This was a results of shitty lighting in The Bomb Factory or the inability to have somoene turn on the damn spot lights. I won't be going back that's a big hard no. For years I keep coming back thinking it will get better. It's not. If you are under 6' unless you are in the very front or have balcony tickets you simply won't see the band. It's unfortunate but it's not a tiered or sloped floor like Granada. To avoid this issue we have been traveling to other cities to see our favorite bands. Criterion in OKC is nice, The Fillmore in Detroit is amazing, etc. read more

This is probably the worst concert venue in Dallas. It's just a flat room with overhead balcony seating. No bleacher seating, no sloped or tiered areas. The stage is low so if you're in the unlucky crowd who didn't get in early during general admission, you'll barely see the performance over the tops of heads. Security is streamlined, no issue there. It's odd that the vendor stuff is so close to the entrance, though, it makes for a bit of a bottleneck situation trying to get to the main floor. The poor layout really detracts from the experience, I wish they'd take a cue from the Granada or the Majestic. Paying close to a $100 to see a big name and then having to strain to see them is not cute. read more

I saw Keshi there couple of days ago. I feel like staff was very informative and drinks were cheap, and great amount of bathroom stalls. However when it came down to the fast pass i dont know who's fault it was but fast pass ppl should enter before regular GA ppl. I was fairly close in my fast pass lane but all I can see to the right was regular ppl going in and so many. What the point in having a fast pass. I have had GA tickets for this venue for a while. While waiting for the show, I tore my Achilles tendon and was put into a medical walking boot. When I arrived Wednesday, my friend went to find the manager to ask if I could sit in the accessible area. He told her "ask after 9 pm". WHAT?! My injury only applies after a certain time?!? I was annoyed but understood others might need it more and decided I would ask again later. So after my boot was kicked, stomped, tripped over, and spilled beer into, I went back to that area after 9 pm when 4 medical attendants were there and I asked if I could just stand behind the chairs so people would stop kicking my leg. It was excruciating. I didn't even ask for a chair. I just wanted to stand out of the way and out of the crowd. The answer was "no you should have pre-planned your injury!" WHAT?! They were so UNACCOMMODATING yet I stood near the accessible area all night and there was room to allow me to stand in the back. I've been to thousands of venues all over Texas for 25 years and these security/medical "professionals" were by far the least compassionate I have ever encountered. read more

Actually rancid, I have yet to go to a concert where someone hasn't passed out it's just so disorganized when you get in there I'm not sure what the capacity is but it seems like it's always maxed out. There's almost 0 airflow so if you're in the middle, you are bound to pass out yourself be next to someone who's gonna pass out or almost pass out. It's actually insane not to mention if you're below the height of 6'5 you won't be able to see literally anything you're gonna spend the entire concert trying to peek between peoples heads or over peoples shoulders. It's massively inconvenience and not worth the 60+ dollars that you're spending to see somebody because you're gonna see as much as you would in your car because it's essentially just listening. read more

As some have mentioned this facility was a bomb factory some decades ago. It's now a gigantic music venue. The acoustics are solid considering the size. Bartenders managed the crowd well being efficient and friendly. My issue is with the wait to enter. The lines was literally the longest concert line I've ever seen. ..it was at least 4 blocks. ..AND raining. I don't typically do lines (in any sense of the word, lol) and opted to check out a bar until it started movin'. It was already 90 mins past the door entry time. If your favorite artist is hitting the stage you might want to check The Bomb Factory out, just be prepared to wait and wait and wait. Personally, I'd rather catch a local act in a smaller setting. read more

I was here for the Carry the Load 2019 Kickoff. This is a great venue and flexible be it concerts, Halloween haunted house and fundraiser events! Plenty of restrooms, quieter areas for conversations, places to party, places to dance, plenty of bars and places to set up tables to sell merchandise. The large screen for the A/V presentation was perfect! I had no issues with parking as there was free valet for this event. The bar was sufficient for this fund raising kick off. Food was catered and lots of room to do that. Lights were dim, but enough to socialize. If not familiar with Carry the Load, please look it up at CarrytheLoad.org. I really hate turning into one of those yelp reviewers who only leaves one star reviews, but I just feel like people read the one star reviews. This place is set up horribly. Everything is on a flat surface and if you're anywhere near the back, you ain't seeing anything. The balcony legit goes above the Ga and obstructs your view. Also, I came from out of town to see a band there.Not aware of any policy that you can't have a camera. (But allow cell phones) and instead of them being super cool about it they were absolute jerks screaming at me and threatening to kick me out of the venue the manger legit told me to "take my ass back in an uber to return a camera". Mind you this camera was smaller than my cell phone. It's in a bad neighborhood and everyone that works there's has some chip in their shoulder. Drinks are overpriced but that's not a big deal. I had a great experience my first time at the bomb factory this past weekend! I bought balcony seating to see Megan thee stallion and boosie and let me tell you...getting the upgraded tickets was one of the best decisions of my life! The upstairs bar area was so clean, surprisingly uncrowded, and there were practically no lines for the restroom when I showed up a good hour late at 7:30. Security got us through the door swiftly and they were courteous. I was really sick, so the only beverage I was sipping was water that night. Even so, the bartender was so sweet and didn't act like he was God's gift to earth as most bartenders seem to act in venues like this. Mad props to all the staff for being so professional and taking pride in their work! Overall the venue is beautiful. It is maintained well and spacious. The show was awesome and though some of the artists were late, I was perfectly okay sitting up on my cushioned seat in the balcony! My reasoning for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that people were smoking weed and cigarettes openly and no one seemed to care. I saw multiple staff, as awesome as they were, see multiple attendees openly smoking and they turned a willful blind eye. I was extremely sick and it was so hard to breathe for the 5 hours we were there! I am new to the south and it seems like smoking, especially cigarettes is still widely accepted and common here. I would absolutely come here again and I do look forward to it! Can't wait to see which artists come through in 2020!! read more

Took a trip from Los Angeles to Dallas to see none other than the beautiful queen herself, Ms. Erykah Badu, for her birthday concert, Sunday, February 26th The venue's location reminds me of the art district in Los Angeles. Inside, the venue is pretty spacious. Your typical "standing room only" concert venue. I'm not a fan of those type of venues, so luckily for me, I was seated upstairs in Erykah's family and friends VIP section. Whew, what a difference VIP made. I was able to sit comfortably to enjoy the concert as opposed to standing for hours in a massive crowd (talk about claustrophobia). Of course I had no problem viewing the stage. I didn't purchase any drinks, and reading other reviews, I see that drinks are expensive. I can understand pricey alcoholic beverages, but $4 for a 16.9 oz bottled water is ridiculous!!!! Overall, I had a good time! Perhaps had I been standing in between the sea of people, my experience probably would have been different. read more

I've been reading all the reviews about how bad this place is and all I have to say is that this place is the BOMB for concerts!!! (no pun intended). We've seen our first concert here last night and it was awesome!! It couldn't have been better than it was last night. First of all, we had assigned seating on the floor, 4th row to be exact, so it wasn't standing room only which made a big difference. It was awesome to be that close to the stage and the band. The sound was great, but do think that they could have accentuated the voices a bit more, but other than that, it sounded great. We saw the Gipsy Kings, a band that I got introduced to when I was stationed in England in the early 90's during my time in the Air Force. They put on a freakin bad ass show. We even got to meet the band after the concert. There was a nice couple sitting behind us that gave us their backstage passes because they had to leave right after the show. We thank you for those passes whoever you are out there, thank you!! She kept shouting out "Toni" all night haha, it was funny. So the bottom line is that we had assigned seating, it was not overbooked which I'm sure made a huge difference between our review and others out there, so there you have it. And oh, the parking is $20 there at the venue, we chose to park across the street for $5 bucks. They also have a little smoking area outside for all you smokers out there. read more

This concert venue has been a platform for amazing shows. My first show here was in Summer 2015 with Purity Ring. Oh my goodness, they were amazing. I still have concert withdrawals to this day... And I think that since they were still quite underground, I was able to get to the middle/front and could really view the duo, as opposed to being stuck in the middle/back. It's a blessing, because the floors are completely flat. No elevation whatsoever. Bummer to short gals like me... My second show here was G-Eazy (bae alert...) last night, and his show was sold out after a few hours of ticketing. Impressive, and it showed in the turnout. The line snaked around the whole Bomb Factory, and it took a whole 45 minutes for my friends and I to get our wristbands and check in. But we made it perfectly in time for the show openers. We were sort of in the back/middle, so I had a very hard time seeing anything on the stage. And my even shorter friend couldn't see anything, so that sucks. VIP, here we come, next time. :P The venue itself is quite large, and the space is huge. The sound system was adequate too, sooo much better than Lights All Night 2015 at the Dallas Market Hall lmao. There's another level up to the VIP section with seating, and they had a wicked view of the stage (total VIP envy). The bathrooms were pretty clean, and there's a staff member who hands you paper towels after you wash your hands (interesting... Is that where part of my "service fees" go to?). There's even benches in the very back wall of the standing area where some people were standing on to watch Gerald, which was a GREAT idea, for they had the view, AND could sit down when they were exhausted. The parking situation could be worse, and to be expected on a night of a show, $20 fees are charged almost anywhere in the vicinity of the venue, but be aware, I did find some $5 parking lots. But message me for where they're at, if you're interested. They're like only 0.2 mi away from the Bomb Factory itself, so a bit of a walk, but I did that walk in the cold with my tall platform boots, so you can too. ;) Overall, TBF is a good place to be at, with dope artists always coming through when they tour in Dallas, TX. So stoked to see Tenacious D perform here and the opening act was Wynchester (basically a country version of Tenacious D in my opinion) the line moved pretty efficiently outside so that was nice as I came to find out most people had the General Admission tickets. Sound was great but the air conditioning definitely needed to be pumped up, I seriously felt kinda faint at one point and I wasn't drinking alcohol or dancing! Next time I'll make sure to arrive early or just push to the front of the stage more because I had no idea how many tall people were in Dallas! It was definitely increasingly hard to see and enjoy the show for all us vertically challenged people but it was a great time over all. Left just before the last few songs to avoid the exit rush and grabbed the most hilarious souvenir and *** rag also perfect as a golf bag towel - adults only for the photo please. I meaaaaaan. It's a pretty enormous space. How did I not know about this venue? Apparently it was an actual bomb factory during WWII, so it has some interesting history. I saw Sigur Ros here recently on a Wednesday night and I have little to complain about. The line got long early outside the venue, but the doors opened promptly at 6:30. General admission is standing room only, and while the floor is gigantic, they really pack you in there. We were pretty squished and I was so irritated with people who came in late and squeezed their way to the front pretending like they were "looking for somebody." So rude. Luckily everyone around us wasn't having it either, and asking people to stop it and turn back around seemed to work. Drinks are expensive but the bartenders are quick and friendly. Maybe in the future I'll spring for VIP seats upstairs because I'm super lazy and don't want to stand for like 3 hours in a row. Hahah, sorrrrry. Lights and sound were pretty rad! Actually sounded better from the back, I'd say. And of course Sigur Ros was incredible and made me cry. read more

I'm a new wheelchair user because of my medical situation and assumed there was no way I was going to be able to make my favorite band's show. I'm so used to buildings that are stairs only, in Dallas, or have other accessibility issues that make it difficult for wheelchair users. I am over the moon to report that The Bomb Factory is designed with accessibility in mind. My husband asked about accessible parking and without even a moment's hesitation they pointed us the best spot that was fast and easy to get to the entrance. Every single staff member was kind, courteous and went way out of their way to make me comfortable and happy which meant so much to me in the context of feeling like I didn't belong now that I'm disabled. The drinks were amazing and the view was great, but all of that was eclipsed honestly by how unimaginably helpful and wonderful every person who works at this building was to me and I cannot stress that enough. If you want to have a good time and guarantee that you will get the best service in town, go to The Bomb Factory. read more

A decent-sized venue, the staff is as accommodating as they can possibly be. We came here for Todrick's Haus Party and the security was efficient in getting everyone in with 3 lines rather than bottlenecking into a single line. Staff got us to our seats quickly and they were courteous. After the show the tour had ushered VIP to the balcony for a meet-and-greet and while we were waiting for our friend (who was part of the tour staff) to come escort us but venue staff told us we were not allowed to stay and needed to leave immediately. While we tried to explain to staff that we were waiting for a tour member to come fetch us, we were told it wasn't allowed since we didn't have the credentials. Basically, security is hella tight and I'd rather feel safe yet inconvenienced than unsafe. And fortunately a tour member was able to find us after we were kicked out of the auditorium section of the establishment, and escorted to where we needed to be. Venue staff even stopped him at the doorway to check his credentials to make sure he was good so I can definitely appreciate the tight security. For what it's worth, the guy kicking us out was very apologetic when he did so! read more

I've been to about 8 concerts at the Bomb Factory (more if you count it's previous incarnation), and I have to say: This venue is one to AVOID. Not at all costs, mind you. There may be certain events that might be tolerable at the Bomb Factory. More on this below. Pros: - Decent amount of security & staff, especially for larger events. - The venue is not trashy. - Some say the BoFac is band-friendly (many green rooms, workout room, blah blah). Cons: Just about everything else. So, while the Bomb Factory may be great if you're a member of the 3-5 person band, it's an awful experience for the other 4000 people in the crowd. In my 8 visits to the Bomb Factory, I've seen at least 5 different seating setups. From mostly GA (General Admission), to multiple reserved sections + reserved seats. And there's no way to determine exactly HOW the venue will be configured for most shows. My guess: Bomb Factory staff doesn't know either, until the day of. Here's the breakdown (see my posted seating chart): RESERVED SUITES For almost every show, there's a section UPSTAIRS (on your right as you face the stage) that is a series of 8 reserved areas. These "suites" are not enclosed in any way, but they do have their own private bar. For big shows, these might run $1500, and "seat" 8-12 people. I've been in a suite twice, and honestly, it's one of the FEW ways to enjoy a show at the Bomb Factory. But, it's actually not that great. Why? Because the suites are perpendicular to the stage, and run along the side of the venue, right up to the right-front corner of the stage. In every OTHER venue, these would be "side balcony" seats and wouldn't command a premium. But at the Bomb Factory, there are NO GOOD seats, so this is as good as it gets. Wanna buy a suite for your friends? Good luck. Fill out a form and pray for a response, and a stable price. If you're lucky enough to get invited to a suite, most of the music fans there will push towards the stage and crowd up against the rail in the frontmost corner. Right above your head is ONE of the two massive stereo arrays of ceiling-suspended loud speakers. Care for a monaural concert anyone? Yeah, it sounds terrible, and it's loud. But the best thing is about the suite? You can lord over the poor schleps on the floor... The FLOOR: For large concerts, there will be 2000+ people on a standing on a hard concrete floor, for the entire concert. - Need to grab another beer? Go to the restroom after the 13th song? Forget about it. - Plan to arrive at 7pm for a 9pm show? You will literally be standing behind 2000 people. - Are you shorter than 6 foot 2 inches? You will not see any band members until you go to the restroom. You are a floor schlep. Upstairs VIP: This sounds ideal, right? You don't have 100s of dollars for a suite, but you enjoy watching others suffer while you have a clear view of the stage from up-on-high. The problem? You simply never know when OR how the upstairs will be set up. Did you buy a GA ticket for an indie-folk band, hoping to arrive early and claim a "free" spot upstairs? Too bad. Management didn't sell that many tickets, and the ENTIRE upstairs is CLOSED. You are a floor schlep. Did you buy a ticket to an indie-electronic band (Purity Ring) and arrive early to head upstairs? Too bad, it's Friday night, and fans were standing in line at 11am (no joke) and grabbed all the spots upstairs. You are a floor schlep. Did you pony up an extra $20 for an VIP Upstairs GA ticket for a popular band (Death Cab) because you wanted a clear view? Too bad. Management sold "reserved" seats in all the nice tiered rows, and blocked off the left-side for reserved seats, and created new "reserved suites" on the far side... because they could. You are an "upper floor" schlep, on the floor above the lower schleps. You still CANNOT see anything. Oddly enough, IF the upstairs is OPEN to GA, and you can run to the far left side, you'll have similar seating to the big wigs across the venue in the Reserved Suites. Or, you can grab the first couple of rows upstairs in the VIP section. Downside? You are VERY far away from the stage. VIP Seats: In certain rare circumstances, management decides to sell reserved seats upstairs. I've never actually seen these for sale online. But, I've seen people sitting in them. If you're lucky, they're open to GA. But if you're not, going upstairs doesn't really buy you anything. You are a floor schlep. RESERVED Floor Seats: In even more rare circumstances, management has arranged 1000 floor seats for purchase. Bad news: everyone is standing and you STILL can't see across the 100 yards of heads. You are a floor schlep. But, with more room to move around, and a chance to go to the restroom. So, is there ever a reason to buy a Bomb Factory ticket? Generally, NO. The good: Entering, prior to the concert, was pretty efficient and quick. One of the best I've experienced. Large open space. Bathrooms relatively clean with tons of stalls so you can get in and out. You can hear the band pretty well from anywhere in the venue - there's even TVs streaming the stage all the way in the back so that you won't miss a thing. They have stands that offer food from local independent (small, caterer type) places. But the food is overpriced for what's being sold. Though I suspect they probably have to pay the venue to sell there. The BAD: - bartenders won't even give a glass of tap water. What if you're the DD? They make you pay for a bottle of water. I don't like feeling being nickel and dimed for every little thing. -There were never any lines for the bar. Either they're a well-oiled machine or their drinks are overpriced for what you get. I'm thinking the latter since I was charged even for a WATER. That and bartenders were literally standing around waiting for someone to order. - Bathroom: I HATE when there's a random person posted up in the bathroom with tip jars all along the counter and handing people paper towels hoping to guilt them into tipping. Either this is an employee (which makes the venue even tackier) or its a random person who decides to come to a concert and do this. In which case, the venue should crack down on this Bc it makes bathroom goers very uncomfortable. I rarely bring cash with me so I find this behavior really obnoxious. - location: during the day it seemed fine but go two blocks too far in the wrong direction after the concert (when trying to get an uber home) and you def start to feel uncomfortable and worried you might get robbed. But stick by the venue and it's a hassle to get a ride home. If you try parking, it's $10 and they just make you park on the side of the road. No specified lot or anything. So pick your poison! Cool venue for a concert but so many other issues of being overpriced and being in a potentially sketchy neighborhood after dark. I'd suggest weighing how important the event is for you if you're thinking of coming. read more

Located in the heart of Deep Ellum, The Bomb Factory is going to give all other major music venues a run for their money. Spacious main dancing area? Check. Large VIP upper-level deck with seating and tables? Check. Great audio and visuals for all areas of the venue? Check. Lots of food options nearby to satisfy your hunger prior to the show? Check. As a fan of EDM music, I have had to frequent Lizard Lounge and South Side Ballroom, but The Bomb Factory is by far the best venue I have attended. My only gripe is the long waiting lines at the door and the service at the bar. There were Bomb Factory personnel throughout the line, but I don't think it was made clear that there were different lines for security depending on your gender, so for the longest time, people were standing in only one line. Once guys and girls split into their respective lines at the front, I think it moved more smoothly. I should preface that I didn't order any alcohol at the bar, but I was starting to develop a sore throat from all the smoke in the air, so I asked the bartender if I could have tap water to clear my throat. She refused and said my only option was the $4 bottled water. I was sort of disappointed in this policy since it seems like the venue just wants to nickel and dime you. Nevertheless, I was able to hold out until the end of the show, and I just got a drink after I left. This wasn't a total dealbreaker for me since I don't usually drink, but just a forewarning for anyone who might be interested in grabbing something from the bar! read more

I am rolling on the floor laughing at some of these Yelp reviews. Some of the complaints are about the musical act they were going to see went on late. Let me fill you in on why your band went on after the time printed out on your ticket. Anyone who has ever seen a rock documentary knows that your band went on late because they are hung over (or worse use your imagination). There is some poor tour manager on the tour bus putting smelling salts under the lead singers nose trying to wake them up and funnel coffee down the prima-donna's throat. That is why your musicians went on late. Fellow Yelpers you are not allowed to blame the musical venue for the band's tardiness. The only thing The Bomb Factory probably tells its acts is please be finished by 2:00 AM because that is the latest we can sell alcohol. Rant Over! The time printed on our ticket said that the doors open at 7:30. In Rock and Roll terms that means your band will not go on until after 10:00 PM. This was my first time to this venue so I was a little worried about parking. We lucked out by finding a metered spot right next to the building. Unfortunately we didn't have any change on us so you are able to pay meters now with credit cards. We arrived at 8:30 and walked right in. We were starving and we lucked out. There was a tent on the patio selling bar b que. We had a very tender brisket sandwich. We ate and listened to the first opening act, Hibou. I was pleasantly surprised that they were actually a good INDY Band. There are three bars down stairs it never got more busy that 2 people deep. They had about 6 people manning each bar. The restrooms were very big for the size of the establishment. Bravo to the Bomb Factory for putting in tons of stalls. There was also a bathroom attendant inside passing out paper towels. The second band was Sarah Jeffe and she was so cool. I'm glad Metric brought a local act on stage and gave a homegrown act a chance to shine. Now down to the sound. Hats off to the sound engineers at this place. The sound quality is amazing. I could here every word Emily sang. There wasn't any reverb or heavy bass. It was just pure entertainment! I was standing front row and was able to see Emily only a few feet in front of me. Then it hit me that there was not security standing between me and stage. That was odd? Usually several bouncers stand at the stage to keep people from rushing the stage. I guess that was not a concern. I was happy that they weren't there to obstruct my view. It was a fantastic evening. I was able to see some really cool bands and get out of the burbs for the night. read more

Very good site for concerts and events, including a food fair! They have a very good sound system, good lighting, great staff who are friendly and helpful, extensive bar and huge capacity. In addition to the open main floor (standing room only) there is the balcony with benches and chairs which provides an excellent view of the stage. There is a small elevator, which is accessible only with help of a staff member. (The staff are very happy to assist and quick to accommodate.) The bathrooms are clean, however not quite 'there' for accessibility. There were 2 handicap stalls ... one could not accommodate a wheelchair, in the other, while large enough space wise, the commode was too low to be considered except in an emergency and the lid was broken, making it useless anyway. The biggest barrier to the site being accessible however, is the state of disrepair of the Deep Ellum sidewalks. They are cracked and uneven, and even the curb cutouts for wheelchairs are hazardous. That's unfortunately true of sidewalks throughout Dallas. read more

My first visit here was to see Ace Frehley. Upon walking in, I was struck at how big the place is inside. It's really big! I had heard that it had been renovated some time ago, and it really shows. The bathrooms, in particular, were some of the best facilities that I've encountered at a place like this. New toilets, sinks etc, all in pristine condition, and the floors and walls were very clean and well done. We had seats in the reserved area near the stage. The seats were also quite new looking, and while they're not the fanciest ones ever, they are pretty sturdy and I didn't ever feel like there was going to be any, um, structural issues. Bar service was great, with a nice, modern bar and enough bartenders to keep people happy. And finally, the sound was very good, as were the lights. It was a thoroughly enjoyable show, at a really cool venue. read more

Amazing venue in terms of layout, sound, lighting and all around production. Went here with a friend for M83. Doors opened at 7; we arrived at 7:30. The line to get in moved so fast--we were in within 5min. Inside the place is huge and very clean. Even the bathrooms are very nice (with constant bathroom attendants keeping it clean). We had tickets to the floor section which filled up pretty fast. Everyone around us was super friendly and accommodating. The opener and M83 both started on time and put on incredible shows. The sound was perfect and the lighting was amazing. I can't say enough about the production team. There were a couple thousand people at the show so I expected for it to take a while to get out, but when the show was over the staff opened up lots of hidden side doors and we walked straight out onto the streets of Deep Ellum. I was so happy and genuinely surprised about this amazing feature. I can't wait to go back. read more

We went to see Portugal.The Man here and were so let down. Not by the band, who played an amazing show, but by the venue. The place has a great setup with accessible bars and good stage views from everywhere you are. Problem is sound. The place is one big box that reverberates hard. On the second floor, most of the songs were unintelligible because of the feedback and reverb. Either the venue has to invest inbetter sound engineering or install some kind of damper that'll improve the quality of the sound. I've heard from other friends they've had similar experiences. read more

It was my first time at this venue and I was pleasantly surprised. It is way bigger inside than it looks, with bars on either side so you didn't have to wait long to get a drink. We saw a concert so it was standing room on the bottom level and chairs around the top but not over crowed. It was clean, had air-conditioning and a good amount of restrooms. I would definitely come back to this venue in the future. read more
