Although I've only posted photos for two events, I've been here quite a few times. The Majestic Theatre is always a treat for intimate events. Most recently I attended the Samara Joy (Grammy award winning jazz singer) concert. The acoustics were superb and her voice reverberated throughout the theatre. I was on an end row, towards the back, but I don't see how any seat could be the wrong one. My first introduction to MJ was the LeVar Burton live podcast taping (LeVar Burton Reads! - Reading Rainbow for adults) in 2018. I was so close to the stage, I could almost reach out to touch him ( I didn't!). Again, acoustics on point. The seats are comfortable, the venue is clean, and I love the vintage feel. The only challenge was the bathrooms. They are down two sets of stairs. This area can easily get jammed up by the coming and going of visitors at the same time. I do suggest visiting the area, even if not for the bathroom, to view some of the historical artifacts. Enjoy!

Well cared for historic theatre in Dallas. Take the DART to St Paul station and avoid the parking situation. Just a stunning venue lovingly maintained. They offer cocktails and snacks. Staff are super friendly. Sound quality is good not perfect. For consideration for those with physical needs: the seating is very tight. Patrons with for example size requirements or restless legs or knee issues should consider their needs and length of event. Lots of restaurants nearby- come early for dinner!

We love this historic Dallas theater. Beautiful architecture and details. Many ticket attendants at the entry. Numerous beverage and snack stations. Ushers are very helpful. We saw the Beatles tribute here and are here tonight for Willam Shatner. Parking is in a nearby lot. Enjoy! No bad seats!

Want to see a comedy show/movie showing. It was a great and fun night. Got balcony tickets towards the top, but the view was fantastic as well as the audio. The presenters/actors also made sure to include all parts of the audience, not just the ground floor. Checking in and going past security was a breeze. The theater is also located near the dart station, and it's easy to request uber and lyfts nearby. The concession stand was a little pricey, but drinks were good. The inside of the entrance hallway was beautiful. The inside of the auditorium was also very beautiful much like other majestic theaters, a different locations. But definitely come back to see an event or performance here!

Went here for a comedy show and had great seats! It's what you would expect from an old historic theater. The staff was great, seats were comfy considering the age of the theater, I appreciated that they were plush velvet seats versus those hard folding seats you typically find in theaters. That would have made it difficult to sit on for hours.

This is a really cool small theatre. I don't think any seat in it is a bad one. They had several different restrooms so they were not packed. There were also several different bar areas around the lobby which was nice. Were drinks overpriced? MOST DEFINITELY! But, the tickets to get in for our show were not. We waited forever in the merch line. I don't know if they needed more people working to help get through faster, but the line we were in had no prices on any of the merchandise. We should have asked because 2 tshirts, 3 koozies, and 12 small stickers were 170$ I guess I didn't realize how much the price of merch has gone up. It wound up being a pretty expensive trip for cheap seating. We will probably go back. We will just be more prepared next time. We did love the area it was in.

Such an iconic venue. You feel like you walked back I time with today's comforts. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Parking garage fairly close. We were in the upper deck and great views of the stage.

Came here for first time for Jimmy O.Yang show. This building has so much character, with the pillars, gold trims, a big crystal chandelier in the center of the open area, & carvings on the walls. Security to enter the building was fast, but pretty strict. They asked ppl to empty pockets, & used hand scanners, but no pat-down. They did not like my small plastic bottle of water, but it was ok to keep the empty bottle after I poured the water in the trash. Only small bags/purses are allowed. Most other places would allow a small water bottle. The sound was great. It's quite a bigger theater than it looks from outside, but you still get a good view of the stage from the front rows of 3rd floor seats. Staff are helpful in directing people to find seating locations. Jimmy O. Yang show show was superb & looked like it was a sold out show! Hope he comes again.

Once again the 103 year old grande dame Of intimate Dallas venues comes through. Every chance I get to attend a concert at the Majestic I take it. No matter the type of music I always enjoy. The atmosphere and sound is always great helping the evenings entertainment shine. Tonight was an appearance by Todd Rundgren. While not a big fan over the years, there are a couple of early career hits everyone would know. However, tonight's concert was more about the experimental side of his compositions. Overall,it's more about the place and listening than who. Guaranteed enjoyment if you like music.... Go!

Easy access for concerts with paid parking close to theater. Beautiful interior of days gone by experience. They have smaller venue events as the size but glad to see the doors still open. Restrooms are not easy access but the graduated floors in the theater make it easy with no stairs.

Saw a screening of napoleon dynamite here, and it was such a fun time. Entering was a breeze, finding my seat was easy and fast, and getting a drink was fast. The show was spectacular, and my view was perfect from the balcony level! I liked how on the bottom floor, there was A mini display of cinema related items! Would highly recommend this theater!!! In the area, lots of restaurants, bars, and other activities. This theater is also located near the DART station

Came to see "it's a wonderful life" before Christmas. Theater is clean & well kept. Seats were comfortable. A beautiful theater from the past. My first time here. My husband went here growing up. No "true" concessions but they served alcohol, bottled water, pre-bagged popcorn.

    Decent venue

Best to get floor seats or first row balcony seats. Kool old theater, chairs original- not comfortable. Booze $$$ Park across Elm Street at garage.

Ask the Community - Majestic Theatre

    Does the venue have security?

Yes. I went to a Christopher Cross concert they had security wands at the door as people entered.

What's it like viewing from pit area. Sound? View? Attending solo to see Roger McGuinn.

Yes you can hear stuff. It's not an anechoic chamber.

I am seeing Morrissey on April and have left orchestra tickets on row R, Is it possible to get into the pit area or at least behind the pit area once the lights go off?

No, this is one of those rare venues where everyone stays seated through the show (with the exception of bathroom/drink breaks, of course). There is a definite area between the front row and stage, but it acts as a barrier and not a viewing pit.

Does it have a place to eat?

    No it does not.
