Megan is a wonderful administrator and knows every kid by name. My first son started around 14 months and went all the way through the pre-k class which really helped him be prepared for Kindergarten. My youngest son started at 5 months old and I cannot say enough good things about Ms. Diane and Ms. Karen. They are both the sweetest people and you can tell they love the children they take care of. Dropping your child off at daycare can be scary at any age but when they are so little it's even harder. You just have to hope you can trust the people taking care of them. Diane and Karen went above and beyond in that manner. So much so that my son would often reach for them at drop off and even when I came to pick him up he'd reach back for them. They are the best!

Kim made us feel right at home when we came for a visit. My daughter told me in the car on our way home mom this is the school for me. She never liked school and wasn't eager to go to school. It was like pulling teeth. When we found out 2 weeks before school started that my daughter got accepted there were tears of joy and happiness from her and I. We knew this was the perfect fit for her. She is so eager to learn and super excited everyday to attend Austin Waldorf School and wants to graduate here. My daughter has blossomed and has grown so much here. The teachers really take their time with the kids and love them as their own. I never experienced the care like they do at Austin Waldorf. The community here is so welcoming. We drive over an hr to get to school and it is well worth it. I cant say enough positive and inspiring words for this school. We made the best fitting and perfect school for my daughter. Thank you Austin Waldorf for this opportunity to teach my child!

Steiner's view was to nurture the soul of the child and unfortunately Austin Waldorf is seeming more budget focused and the teacher for our grade certainly really let us down and did not even have the care for us as a family to speak with us directly. I would avoid this particular Waldorf.

My kids come home raving about their teachers - which is a GREAT sign for me. My older son absolutely loves the splash pad during summer. Every day he eagerly inquired if it was a splashpad day for him. My 2 yo daughter says every day that her teacher is her best friend. They seem to be thriving. And educationally speaking, I feel that both are moving along nicely. My son is practicing writing his name, my daughter is practice drawing circles. They both report daily outside time, dance parties, arts & crafts, story time, library time, 'share stick' time for the coolest toys. All great things. My only 'meh' (and understandably so) is that due to covid some of the areas are off limits because they're helping distance learners. For instance, the computer lab, shared toy areas, soda shop. While I completely understand it, and try to keep my meh-attitude in check, sometimes I really wish my children could experience these educational & fun activities themselves. However, I firmly believe the school is doing all it can do help all parents/children through covid so obviously, I can't be too upset. Overall, we've loved our time at Country Home. Two BIG thumbs up!

At first I was intimidated by the size but it is a well oiled machine. What was important to me was when the director told me she had been their 17 years +. My previous daycare had significant turnover and instability and I felt like I was just dropping my son off at a holding cell. CHLC changed all of that! He is learning and thriving and they have monthly calendars full of events, activities, and opportunities for parent engagement. Love all the staff and teachers and it impressed me that they are able to greet the kiddos by name! CHLC is not cheap but I will say worth every penny thus far.

Recognizing the need to build a solid foundation, I transitioned to Basic Level and Beginner 1 classes. After about six months of dedicated practice, I experienced significant improvement, making each session more enjoyable and rewarding. While I still aspire to join the Beginner Level 2 class, I plan to continue refining my skills, possibly through private lessons, before taking that step. I tried hip-hop for the first time with friends, in a month-long series culminating in a showcase. but I've also done drop in beginner, hip-hop and cardio hip-hop classes. The Pilates (reformer and mat) options here are worth any kind of trouble. I've studied reformer Pilates with three other instructors over the years and Vlada Sheber, master instructor and Pilates Program Director for Ballet Austin, made aching parts of me feel invigorated and ready to move. She gets what happens when you have a tinge of arthritis here, there or osteoporosis. I'm addicted already. I didn't need help in these ways, but she is also trained in teaching people after surgery, breast cancer patients, and more. Private or group classes? Check. Pilates for physical therapy? Check. There are several instructors with different areas of specialties, and they are beginning a new-to- reformer group class this week.
