I stopped at the restaurant first, ordered lunch (they told me it would be ready in 15-20 minutes), and then walked around the store perusing the shelves. There is a little bit of everything in this store, including a very nice produce section, various groceries, toys, lottery, and even clothing. For my lunch, I had the Jhol Momo (Vegetarian), and it was served in a plastic microwave style bowl with a plastic lid. It was also served with plastic cutlery. The food was tasty (Momos are like little dumplings and this dish served them in a spicy sauce). I am not sure if it was made fresh, or if it was just microwaved from frozen, but I thought it had a good overall taste. I suppose I would come back again if I found myself in the area . . . Cheers!

The staff at the registers are always pleasant and working efficiently. The selection is fresh and vast. It is well maintained and well stocked. If one of your favorites isn't there, they can and will look up the status of the product. They can check if it was discontinued, if they have it on order (and when they should have it in stock again) or when they are able to order it again. It is really helpful! They will also let you sample something if you have a question about it. I've only done this once (and it was because they offered). They also often have samples of a product they are trying to promote that week or month. Food quality is fresh and there is a really nice variety of items. I especially like perusing the frozen aisle because there are so many unique international food options like Korean, French, Italian and Greek options just to name a few. The inside of the location is clean, well lit and full of vibrant color. This is a great location (if you are able to actually find a place to park)

It's not my preferred place to go, but when you need it, it's your savior. It's usually very clean and always dimly lit so make sure your phone has enough battery to keep the flashlight on throughout the duration of your visit. The smell changes frequently based upon the time of day and who was there before you. Upon entering, you might be treated with a nice scent of flowers but you could also get a pungent whiff of urine if the motorized carts haven't been hosed off recently. On rare occasions, it might smell like sewage although that issue has been recitified thankfully. Nevertheless, it's a great place and has everything you need. Staff is very friendly. Cat food is typically $1 less per can than Giant Eagle, so stock up when you can. Ultimately, I love this place. They don't make them like this anymore.

If I had a lot of bags I'd take the T home. I recall many a day getting a good aerobic workout lugging a 50 lb. backpack plus extra bags of food in both hands up that huge hill! I loved walking through picturesque Dormont Park. Our mother used to live near the top of McFarland Rd. so I'd often walk to Kuhn's for her and then walk back. Kuhn's is much smaller than some of the gargantuan supermarkets like the Brentwood Giant Eagle (which is now our home store) or Costco, but they have just about everything you need. Their seafood is fresh. I love their homemade specialty hoagies, so fresh and delicious. Shop 'n Save used to carry similar hoagies but stopped making them. At least the Carrick one did. Kuhn's deli is excellent. They are one of the few stores to carry the delicious Boar's Head brand deli meats. I like Giant Eagle's brand Dietz & Watson, but I prefer Boar's Head. Their aged provolone (picante - slightly sharp flavor) is wonderful. I must also mention Kuhn's ready-made fried chicken. It is my favorite out of all the various stores chicken. I have fond memories of shopping at Kuhn's. We still go there once or twice a month. Give them a try!

When I got to the register she said oh the chuck roast is on sale for 5.99. I said I didn't see a sign, she said there isn't one, you just have to bring it to the register and then we'll take it off. I said and how am I supposed to know it is on sale? she said its in circular when you walk in the door. Who reads those if you're not an avid Kuhn's shopper or if you're just coming in for a few items? The prices were no better than giant eagle. The smell alone made me lose my appetite so I don't plan on coming back here.

This review is based solely on the pub area of Market District. They consistently have good beer…read more(IMO) at very fair prices. Tons of local beers in draft. An example is a local hazy IPA that I live that is less here than at the brewery. The folks working are extremely friendly, the beer list is live updated live on Untappd. They have a happy hour and a wing Wednesday. Great place. About 10-12 seats at a bar and tons of seating at tables.
