Schneider's Dairy is a family-owned and -operated business that has operated since 1935. Their raw…read moremilk comes from over 40 farms in 13 Western Pennsylvanian counties, and farmers pledge to not use the growth hormone rBST. Schneider's products include milks, iced teas, juices, whipped creams, half and half, fruit drinks, dips, cottage cheeses, ice creams, seasonal products, and even spring water. I bought a bottle of their eggnog. In previous years, I purchased other companies' eggnogs and did not enjoy them. I decided to buy Schneider's eggnog just because Christmas is approaching and I had not drunk eggnog in several years. I figured why not try it. My husband and I actually enjoyed the taste of Schneider's eggnog! The main ingredients were milk, sugar, cream, egg yolks, and nutmeg. I do not know exactly what Schneider's does differently, but I recommend their eggnog. The only thing that I do not like is that the eggnog is very high in fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, and sugar, so my husband and I plan to share only one small container per year.

It's excellent, it's cheap, and it's local. I can't believe anyone in the 'Burgh has ever drank Lipton. If they have, they should be disowned by the black and gold region. Give the Sweet Tea a try, it's on sale in many local stores and gas stations. Absolutely yum. Refreshing. Awful for you but then so is dating me.

Hills Village and had no idea this shop was in the mall (lower level close to the Macy's end). The shop is organized with sugars, spices, and teas having their designated section in the shop. Beth the sole employee invited us to peruse the back wall behind the register for additional spices and answered questions we had about some of the blends. You can find your basic pantry staple spices, in addition to unique blends you might or might not be able to find at the larger supermarket chains. Everything is offered in different sizes and you're even encouraged to smell the spices in larger jars. There are recipe cards for different types of dishes if you need cooking inspiration with your purchases. Nice shop if you're a foodie looking for unique and hard to find items.

There is some seating inside, but it's mostly a takeout joint. Also note that the parking is a little awkward, with some level of uncertainty around whether you might be blocked in. Other than that, this seems like a pleasant and well-run establishment. Our order was ready to go exactly when it was expected to be. In terms of the food, almost everything was fantastic. The salad rolls (fresh rolls) were excellent. A nice combination of flavors and textures, with just enough basil and lettuce flavor and crunch. The accompanying dipping sauce was equally good. The rolls also look significantly better than the photos on the web site. The tom yum soup was equally flavorful and well crafted. I generally stand at the ready with extra fish sauce and a squeeze of lime, but that was completely unnecessary here. The papaya salad was a bit of a miss, and the woon sen pad Thai was as well. Both seemed a little flat and in need of extra flavor. The red curry and sweet and sour stir fry were both excellent. Taken as a whole, everything was great. We opted for spiciness levels between 6 and 8 for various items, and that seemed like a good range for us. All told, this is an excellent destination. It's not the world's most convenient location, but it's among the better Thai restaurants I've tried in Pittsburgh. Well worth checking out.
