First I want to add that the place is new and it's the owners first restaurant. The food is made to…read moreorder and takes time. Most mall patrons want something quick, so the slow service is not helpful. They gave us ketchup with the popadoms, which was strange; we are used to traditional Indian sauces. They also gave us ketchup packets with their fantastic Kathi wrap- this did not need any sauce and was delicious! It's not even pictured because we ate it show fast, after waiting so long. My only advice is to stop assuming everyone wants ketchup (I've eaten Indian cuisine since I was 7 years old and never once saw ketchup on their tables) and have some items pre-made. I will place my order ahead next time I'm at the Palmer Park mall, so it's ready when I am.

After having been Desi Bites off of Rt. 248, the owners have opened a new restaurant called Aroma…read moreAuthentic Indian Cuisine, a large dine-in location inside the Palmer Park Mall. In addition to their original menu, they're now offering even more delicious Indian treats. I just had their Chhole Bhature, which was completely delicious. My colleague had an order of their Malai Tikka Leg and their Tulsi Naan; also delicious. I was so pleased with my meal, I ordered their Palak Paneer and an order of Vegetable Samosas to go. Do know that their prices are incredibly fair, and portions are quite large. You will be surprised. Easy on/off to Rt. 22 at 25th Street, Aroma Authentic Indian Cuisine will definitely live up to their previous reviews as Desi Bites; I think they'll even surpass them.

To get you to try new things, they'll even toss in freebies on larger orders and those never disappoint either (and it works, I've ordered those things other times). I'm glad I found this gem of an Indian restaurant in the Lehigh Valley.

Cumin 'n Eat serves excellent Indian food. The food is consistently hot, fresh, high-quality, and…read morevery well seasoned. The flavors are clearly prepared with care. The people are also friendly, which makes the experience feel welcoming. That said, there are a few things that would make the dining experience much better. On our last visit, our group waited nearly 30 minutes for the food to arrive. During that time, the table was completely empty except for water and place settings. When food is going to take longer than usual, it would make a big difference to bring something small to the table, even pappadums or another light starter, just to keep guests happy and occupied. It would also help if someone came over to apologize, give an update, and let guests know how much longer the food may take. Also, the cold plastic plates should really be upgraded. They feel cheap and tacky, and hot food should not be served onto cold plastic plates. Real plates would immediately improve the presentation and overall dining experience. The main dining room could use more warmth and charm. Right now, it feels a bit sparse and not especially cozy. But the room you first enter is in much greater need of attention. Honestly, it feels rather depressing to eat in that area. It would not have to break the bank to make it warmer and more inviting. A little decor, better lighting, warmer colors, or even a few thoughtful touches would go a long way. Right now, it just feels like very little effort was made in that space and that it's just a path to the cash register. One final suggestion: when it is time to pay, please do not stand over guests while they review the bill and decide on a tip. It feels uncomfortable. Either leave the device on the table or bring a paper bill first, then return when the guest is ready. Overall, the food is very good and the people are friendly. With a few service and atmosphere improvements, Cumin 'n Eat could offer a much better full dining experience. Our family really loves the food so kudos to the great chefs!
