I stopped by Four Silos recently and thought that the coffee and food were alright. However, the space itself is very small and it felt jam-packed when all of the tables were being occupied. And the staff wasn't super welcoming/helpful. It seems to be a popular "remote office" or meeting spot, as most people were hunkered down working on laptops or catching up for long chats, which made finding a place to sit a bit of a challenge. I'm sure it's a solid local spot for most, but next time I'd probably order to-go. read more

What a great hidden gem! Came here for a quick bevy--the fiancé and I ordered some beer and ciders only. Loved my PG cider corps and the fiancé ordered a couple he enjoyed as well. Cute decor inside. I have been getting "The Dude" latte here going on a couple years now. I love it and I think the ratios of espresso shots to cream is awesome, a large has 4 shots so if you're a coffee snob like me, this is essential lol. Meanwhile, young gal who walked in ahead of us and sat at counter was busy being chatted up by counter gal. Guess only friends get service here. No more visits to this place. Beer is not good anyway. I have been stopping by this cozy spot for a while, and today I decided to stop by to try something differently. If you love a strong coffee - this is the one! I stopped by in the morning so it was a little quiet, you may see more a group of people, meeting or working on their laptops and chilling with a good vibe and chill music. The camp fire mocha is a must-try! It's perfectly well made and very flavorful, not too sweet which I like it a lot - It now becomes my new favorite to go drink. I've had Four Silos on my list forever. This spot is quite far from my house so when I realized how close I was I had to make a stop. I loved the outside patio right away. It was nice and large and ample shade. When we walked inside we were greeted instantly by multiple employees. They gave us both a seasonal and regular menu to look over. I opted for cold brew of course, my daughter's chai and a Sedona latte. We also decided to order a couple of avocado toasts to share. We were told they'd bring everything out to us. The inside is fairly small or it feels that way with the amount of tables, but still easy to move around. The beer selection was good, but for us it was way too early. Everything tasted great. We all liked our items minus my one daughter who preferred no seeds on the toast. No biggie and no fault of the employees. Parking was easy and plenty of it. Stood at the order station for five minutes before one of the five people at the counter broke their important gossip session to take an order. My cousin suggested this location as it was nearby to an event we were going to. A locally owned brewery with coffee? I wanted to love it, but sadly I didn't. I hate that you stand in line to order in the midst of people seated enjoying their food or beverage. Also, I'm more of a fan of seated service dining. The interaction with the staff was more just a quick order than later a quick drop off of our food. For the price point of the food items, I expected more and was disappointed with the quality. I've seen them walk in with Bashas grocery bags, microwave the food, and serve it on silver trays that clearly haven't been washed. I was given a cold grilled cheese sandwich on a dirty platter with dried ketchup on the sides. I asked if they could warm it up and she said the sandwich comes how the sandwich comes. I showed her that I could seperate the cheese slice from the bread cleanly and it's cold to the touch like the just pulled it out of the fridge. She said they can accommodate my "special request" this time only but won't do it again in the future. Twenty minutes later, they brought back a rock-hard sandwich that I literally couldn't bite into. I tried really hard to tear the bread with my teeth, but it was impossible. I was considering asking for a refund, but I overheard them talking badly about me to their coworkers who were eating lunch at the bar. At that point, I just left. Eat here at your own risk. The food and staff is always bad. I'm never coming back here again. read more

Went with friends for dinner with our kids. They had live music on Saturday night and enjoyed that. We sat outside and the seating was fine. Not too noisy from the music but no heat lamps. It was about 60 degrees out. Beer was solid. I had an IPA and we ordered food but if the beer was 8/10, the food was 5/10. Pizza had no flavor and my husband got a cheeseburger but it came out like a kid's meal. No vegetable toppers like lettuce or tomato? Others at our table also ordered burgers and same thing. They were out of tator tots so they have potato chips (which isn't a good trade IMO). Pretzel was fine, but not the best. Not sure I'd return. read more

Love the concept! Hubs and I decided to check out Four Silos one late weekday afternoon while in the area. We were welcomed by the sound of live music on the patio. The place was busy when we arrived and just got busier throughout the evening. The indoor space was packed. Although there's ample seating, it's a little tight. The line to order places you in other patrons' personal space. I felt like I was on top of other people. I tried not to, but we were so close I could pretty much read their text messages. Oops. After we placed an order with a friendly staff member, she handed us a number and we made our way outside. We were able to find an open table with a great view of the musician. Within minutes, our coffees and pretzel were delivered to our table. I ordered my go-to drink, a honey cinnamon oat milk latte, iced. My husband went with a tonic cold brew. The drinks were great; pretty smooth. My latte had a nice balance of cinnamon and honey. My husband's flavored cold brew was tasty and refreshing. The pretzel was alright, not my favorite. Stopped by to support a small local business. Love the name and loved the ambiance. We ordered The Dude and a Hot Latte + lavendar syrup. The reason for stars - We were not greeted when we entered nor when we moved up to the bar. The gal working the register didn't offer any recommendations, small talk nor a pleasant smile. She just took our order and money and handed us our coffee after it was made. For being a small business I would've expected higher quality customer service than say Chick Fil A. I am big on customer service but unfortunately it was a miss. The coffee could be the best thing I've ever had (which it wasn't it was just regular coffee) but when you can tell the employees don't want to be there. I don't want to be there. read more

If you live near here it's a not a bad place to do work. When it gets busy the inside gets very crowded, so sit outside if that bothers you. Decided to stop in for a quick dinner before attending an event nearby. This establishment is very casual with a lot of personality. They sell coffee as well as craft beer and have prepackaged beverages for purchase. They even sell fresh eggs in 6 packs! There is a merch shelf providing various items for purchase. There are tables within the middle and bar tops lining both sides. It is the type of place where you stand in line to order and they give you a number for the meal to be delivered to the table. The parking lot had ample parking spaces when we arrived and easy to maneuver. It was a very busy day (Friday around 5:30 PM) making the wait in line a bit uncomfortable as I felt like I was crowding the guests around me (in line or at a table). There were about 5-10 people ahead of us in line and the line cleared pretty quickly however we definitely felt the wait on our food. By the time we left, there was someone playing guitar and singing outside on a large patio during our visit. Interaction with the staff was minimal but everyone seemed pleasant. I ordered a 16 oz campfire mocha ($5.44) which was very delicious. The coffee was my favorite part of the visit. My Yelp bestie ended up getting one to go to save her experience. We ordered a Vespa wheel pizza ($15) and a happy hummus bowl ($7.94). The happy hummus bowl was sadly not very happy.. haha. The vegetables did not seem very fresh and it was overall a small portion of dipping items (in my opinion). The Vespa wheel pizza was good flavor wise but the price didn't match what was delivered. It is a hidden gem for local people. This is a small place with both indoor and outdoor sitting. It was a late afternoon, both bartender was awesome and extremely friendly. The female bartender was so cute that I have to keep looking at her instead of the beers : ). I didn't get a chance to order food because I wanted to enjoy the cold beers. I think those four silos up on the street belong them (Funny fact that there was a two silos bewing co, too). They offer a big growler that offer iced coffee which is a plus. Best coffee in Gilbert. I've tried several places over the past year and Four Silos is the coffee shop I keep returning to. Here are a few reasons why I'm giving them this rating: 1) it's the boldest and richest coffee I've tasted. I can order a whole milk latte and actually taste the coffee, not just the milk. 2) it's relatively inexpensive. I can get an iced coffee for under $5 which is unheard of these days. 3) service is friendly and fast. I love that they have a walk-up window with reserved parking. Very convenient. 4) they support local businesses. I love that they offer Rise Up Bakery's cinnamon rolls and cookies. This is just a cafe that is open late that happens to serve beer. The atmosphere is quiet and kind of awkward. There's not much space inside, so even going on a Monday night, we ended up sitting outside. There are heaters, but the chairs are so uncomfortable. The food was comforting and tasty, but the portions are so small. My husband and I got two salads, the gyro pizza, the hummus, the pretzel, a pumpkin latte, and a beer, and we were still hungry. He ended up getting another sandwich to fill him up. I finished the salad in three bites and the pizza is so thin and flimsy. I did enjoy the pretzel. The latte didn't taste like it had any coffee in it, just pumpkin syrup. Their espresso was so bitter I couldn't finish it. I don't know, it kind of felt like a ripoff. read more

I came here on a whim as I was passing through Gilbert, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I actually enjoyed my experience here. It was a little later in the day, but I needed some coffee, a snack, and I always can go for some good beer. To start, this was some damn good coffee. I take my coffee black, so the brew needs to really stand out. I will tell you, it was delicious. It wasn't super bitter and there was some great complexity to the blend. Next, the snacks were great! We got a lox bagel and a pretzel with beer cheese! The Lox was fresh and the bagel was as good as any independent bagel shop. The pretzel was perfect and came with more than enough beer cheese. I ended up trying a flight because there was a great variety of beers to try from. We really liked the Hefe and the Deuce. Besides the good eats, they were setting up for a live band outside. This place is ... okay, I guess, at least in my experience. The food was mediocre and kind of cold. I ordered the sausage pizza and it was like they used breakfast sausage instead of Italian sausage. It was fine, but just not what I was expecting. The cheese was alright when the pizza first came out of the kitchen, but after eating a slice or two, it coagulated and wasn't very enticing. The service was also kind of mediocre. The gal behind the counter was nice enough I guess but she wasn't very friendly. Especially as someone who's never been in before, it would have been nice to have been greeted instead of looked at like an inconvenience. The food didn't take too long to come out, which was nice, but they forgot my soda and I had to go back to ask for it. I didn't know to grab it from the refrigerator. The atmosphere is laidback and hip, and they play decent music, too. All in all, would I be back? Meh. Maybe. 1, Highly priced food. 2 slices of white bread with peanut butter should not be costing more than a couple of dollars. Its almost $5 here. They don't have a grill or a cook top. All that they have is a microwave. So look at the prices they are charging for rewarmed food. 2. Lousy Service. Sat down and food and drink came out very quickly. I noticed another customer was really having a bad day as I was building up. You order at the counter and they bring food out to you. The beers were good, not great. I had the amber and it was hoppy and light. Decent for an amber. The food was good. I was pleasantly surprised. I had the High Tide sandwich, and I enjoyed their specialty cheese on it. The beef and lamb was super tender. My friends got the bruschetta which was a good size for an app. All the rest of the food was good. The staff wasn't super-friendly at first, but after they brought the food out they seemed in a better mood. Overall, it's pretty good.
