The coffee is good but the ambiance is what I really like about this place. It's so much bigger than it appears from the outside. It offers two covered patios. One of which has tables with fire pits in the middle and comfortable seating. Inside there are lots of seating options. I would recommend going during the school day or when kids are on break since it's across the street from a high school. But the old school and new school charm of this place makes it inviting and a great place to sit down and work. Free WiFi. Comfortable seating. Tons of drink and food options. I have not gone to the physical store, but they have a super cute coffee cart at the ASU Tempe campus. Super convienant! They bring it out during the Fall and Spring semester. Once again I found myself having a good experience here. I was craving something different so I went with the recommended 20 oz. hot sugar free Haze Hero soy latte. $7.90 It was very good and not overly sweet. I later found out that it is a white mocha with hazelnut syrup! The service was pleasant and every worker had a smile. Upon sitting down, while savoring my beverage I took note that the place could use a bit more upkeep. The bathrooms especially. I came here with my daughter and my boyfriend to try something new. The building looks small from the outside and there is a drive thru. But when you go inside the place looks so big and relaxing. They really utilized their space to have a bigger seating area. The menu is rather big. There are different things to try on there that would keep me coming back, especially in comparison to a Starbucks. The worker we had at the register was very nice. He helped us right away and answered all of our questions. I ordered me a latte with Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk. It was pretty good, the cinnamon flavor was very light in comparison to the coffee. I do like my coffee not as strong but it was still good. My daughter got a fruity pebbles milk and she loved it. It just tasted like strawberry milk to me but it was something she enjoyed. There is a kids section on the menu with other drink choices which I loved. My boyfriend got a hazelnut drink which was really good too. He went with the biggest coffee size and it did not disappoint! If you're looking for a huge cup of coffee this is the place to go. We got some desserts too which I wasn't a major fan of. The chocolate chip cookie looks so yummy but it has a weird texture that I did not enjoy. The lemon macaron was okay, the cookie part was delicious but the middle filling was very tart for my liking. Next time I will try different flavors! Overall this place was a great experience and is definitely unique if you want something different. It is a great place to get some coffee and work on your computer or to meet with friends. They also sell a small amount of merch such as cups, coffee bean necklaces, pens, and earrings. This coffee house is not close to my house but my kids and I stop in after a standing appointment we have nearby. The building isn't impressive and I wasn't expecting much when we went inside, but I was wrong. The inside is beautiful and has a ton of seating. This is a fantastic place to have a meeting or have coffee with friends. Unfortunately, there are no vegan pastries, but they do have milk alternatives. The first time we came I ordered a hot tea and my kids ordered a blueberry muffin. My kids gave the muffin their seal of approval but unfortunately, I was not asked if I wanted milk in my tea And after we left, I had a sip, and I could taste the milk and had to throw it away. Today, my kids ordered the donut holes and macarons and enjoyed them. This is a great meet-up spot, and although I haven't tried their other drinks yet, I look forward to coming back and tasting other things on their menu. Terrible food and below-average coffee. I've been here three or four times now over the past nine months only because of how close it is to my house and the food and coffee both get worse and worse every time. This is the first time I've bothered to leave a review but Top Cup's coffee has never been good but the "food" that they're serving now is a disgrace to ALL food, fast food included. The only worse breakfast sandwich you'll find compared to this place is if you get a breakfast croissant on an in-flight meal. Today was the last time I'll ever eat here. I ordered a breakfast croissant that was so bad it makes Burger King and their croissant sandwich look like a Michelin star restaurant in comparison to this crap. Just another example of a small business owner checking his/her bank account and not caring at all about the quality of their food coming from this location. This owner is the same person who whines at parties about the minimum wage going up and how it's impossible to make it as a small business these days. No, it's impossible to make it as a small business when you serve insulting "food" like this that the owner would NEVER eat in a million years. Top Cup is such a nicely designed coffee shop with a drive through. To be honest twice when I tried their specialty coffees I didn't like it but I am not someone that likes coffee normally. I did like a plain cup of Joe however that I tried. So why five stars? Cause I do like that they have these sugar free energy drinks that are so good. Once in awhile I grab one. Peach is definitely my favorite. I also like their breakfast burrito which I cut in half and share with my son who also likes it. Service is pretty good too. Top cup has the potential to be a really great coffee shop, but there are some tweaks they need to work on to make that happen. Visited for the first time on a Sunday morning around 8am. As I drove up, I was impressed with the property. A non-corporate coffee shop with a drive-thru is GREAT (and kind of rare in the East Valley)! They also had a couple of outdoor patio areas that looked like a nice place to meet up with a friend and enjoy a cup of joe. For as nice as the place looked, I was a bit turned off by the large "no outside food or beverage" sign posted on the front door. I don't know if they have vagrancy problem or loitering teenagers, but the obtrusive sign was tacky...side note, there were at least two other obtrusive "no outside food or drink" signs posted. My biggest complaint is that when I walked inside, there were 3 young women working behind the counter and were engaged in a conversation. I stood at the register looking up at the menu for a solid minute before even acknowledging me, even though one of the employees saw me, just kind of ignored me. And while I was in the middle of placing my order, the person went back to talking to the other two girls...not off to a good start. That said, when I told her it was my first visit, she did give me some recommendations. The drink I ended up with was a salted caramel latte and was kind of lacking something, and only gets 3-stars. My wife's coffee on the other hand was great and gets 5-stars. Here are my thoughts and observations: Good: - Super fast internet (196Mbps down) / (118Mbps up). - Property (inside and out) had lots of seating options (2 patios, tables, bar stools, couches). - Drive-thru option. - Blueberry muffin was better than most you get at a coffee shop. - One of the two coffee's I ordered were excellent. BAD: - Inattentive employees. - The store looks clean, but not so sure...the doors and windows were filthy and full of fingerprints (see pic), as if it had never been cleaned. - Store was empty (I was the only customer inside) for a Sunday at 8am. - While the store is modern and kind of urban chic, I observed several boxes being stored in the bar area, piled above the counter line, kind of a turnoff. - Several items in disrepair or not being used, including a slush machine (see pic), what looks like an "out of order" sign taped on one of the taps, a cockeyed coffee pot and a missing coffee pot. - While the breakfast burritos taste pretty good, the $6 paid does not include any meat. I don't know if bacon is even an option, only braised beef for an extra $. - Several items missing from the display case and refrigerator. I will def try this place again, but will give it a few weeks to see if anything has improved. read more

Good but not great coffee. Definitely a bit overrated. It's so hard to find a good coffee place-- Starbucks coffees are too sweet, but this was very watered down. I guess it's the Coffee Roulette. I've tried this place twice. Both times I got a 12 oz drink and they were over $5 per drink. Very expensive for them to both taste disgusting. The chai was just almond milk with a splash of watered down chai. No spice, no sweetness, I couldn't finish it. The macnilla latte was worse. I had poured it into a different cup to help mix it when I got home and there are bits floating in it and settled on the bottom? I couldn't finish it. Almost $6 per drink to not even drink half is a waste. I hate Starbucks but even their burnt espresso is better than this place.
