A great, local brewery right here in Agritopia! It's located within Barnone, closer to Ray Road/the outdoor seating area. Not a huge area but plenty of seating and you can sit outside when the weather is nice. The have a great selection of draft and canned beers, all of which are their own brews. Each one has a great description of the flavor as well. You can get some samples, too! The bartenders are great and super helpful so don't worry if you have questions. My favorite beer here is the Blap Blap! It's so good, fruity, and a easy drink. They have something for everyone type of beer drinker here and you get to support local business. Win, win! We appreciate the quick service and I love getting a can of the non alcoholic hazy from Best Day Brewing. The bar staff is always friendly and great at making recommendations. This place looks and feels like Joanna Gaines barfed all over. It's nothing but contrived modern farmhouse decor. You'd also expect a tap room like this to have a good selection but it's really just a bunch of the same IPAs. They make up for it with high prices though. read more

Inside a neat building with other fun independent shops and restaurants. They have a good solid variety of beer (try out Baku! It's a Japanese style lager) and there's trivia at this 12 West location on Tuesdays! Their trivia host Rachel is super funny and fun, I'd check it out if you can! And get there a bit early, because there's not a ton of seating! (Really my only complaint) They do not serve food, but you can pizza just a step away from Fire & Brimstone and they'll bring it over to you if you're sitting at 12 West. Their pizza is good too, but this is a 12 West Review! If you want to support local and want some good beer or trivia, I'd definitely check this place out! read more

We sat here while waiting for our pizza from Fire and Brimstone. I don't love beer but I got a hard kombucha from the fridge and it was delicious! They even poured it in a glass for me. Of course it a brewery so they're mostly going to have beer but all they had was beer, a couple kombuchas and a couple hard seltzers. Maybe some more options from local places like maybe some cider from cidercorp or mead from Superstition Meadery etc. would really put this place over the top. read more

Found this on accident after seeing a community FB post about pickle pizza and thinking, "Man!! I need to try that!", reading through the comments, finding an adjacent pizza place, and then realizing the pizza place is in the brewery. Yay! Pizza AND beer! There is also ice cream and shopping all in one location. Can't beat that! The interior is a cool, chill atmosphere. There's patio seating for those days when it's not a million degrees outside. You can take the food you buy into the brewery area (in fact they'll just bring it out to you!) Lots of craft beers on tap + featured beers in cans from other breweries. All can be purchased and taken home. My partner and I each got a flight of 4 beers. They were nice sized pours! I liked the flavor of almost all the beers. My only complaint is that they all seemed a little flat. I don't know if that was typical, or if something was going on with their system, but they just didn't have the bubblyness I want in a beer. I did not know the Barnone concept existed or that it was so close to my place! It's nice to see local business collaboration like this in Gilbert compared to the strip malls and chains in the suburbs. I've been to the main 12 West location in Mesa and I was a fan of the space and the beers. The one at Barnone is smaller but they have the same selection of good beers, my favorite being the Midnight Run and Blap Blap. I didn't get any food at this location because the Fire and Brimstone across the way looked and was delicious. We came in on a Monday night and unknowingly stumbled into a Geeks Who Drink trivia night, which was fun! read more

We visit here often and have never had a bad experience. The location sits within Barn One and parking can be an opportunity on nights and weekends due to the popularity of the business in the area. 12 West only sells beer and cider but come for dinner and grab some great food from the pizza shop next door. Just let them know you are sitting on the 12 West side. The bartenders are always friendy and will give tastes and suggestions when you are looking for it. Have been here twice and I like the space (sat both outside and inside). I find the beers are ok and nothing outstanding of the 8 I tried except for the 12 karat is excellent. Others (all IPAs and a pale ale) seemed kind of monotone with nothing very special. The Digital Sea was decent. I wish they had some info online or at the bar to tell you more about each beer. Nice place to grab a drink, especially after dinner in Agritopia. Beer selections are on the wall above the bar, as well as QR cards that are floating around. When we went (July 2022), there were a lot of IPAs and sours available. Beertenders are super friendly, very attentive, and consistently clearing down tables, making those empty glasses disappear. There are some limiting factors that can't really be changed (amount of seating, closes @ 11pm on Fri/Sat), but I will say the smaller seating area likely correlates with attentive waitstaff. However, if they opened later on the weekends, I would definitely be there. Regardless, catch me there. read more

Awesome service and great beer. I love their Josephine sour. The pina paleta ipa is also pretty tasty. I like this location a lot more because it's more personable and the bartender working the other night really pays attention to Everyone which you don't find every day. Can't wait for them to release more sours or ciders perhaps those are my absolute favorites. I mean i know not everyone enjoys that kind of thing but I just always hope these East valley breweries start giving me more options since Phoenix/Mesa and Tempe always sell out of their limited cans within minutes of their sours/ciders.My husband usually tends to go with the hazy klax ipa or the zona Pilsner and he enjoys them. The inside seating is a little cramped just with all the social distancing it's hard to keep 6 feet away from people inside. So you don't really have much options but to try and go outside if there is space. All in all this is a wonderful place to check out for some beer and pizza across the room. read more

It didn't even taste like an IPA. 10 out of 10, I would highly recommend it if you like IPAs. Located in Barnone, it's basically everything you want...all rolled into one. There's a wine place next door and a pizza place across the hall. You can order your pizza, buy your beer or wine, and sit anywhere in Barnone. Amazing experience! I have been a few times, but I just moved closer to the area so I want to become a regular of this place. I came 06/06 at around 3 pm and the gentlemen was so so helpful and great energy. You don't get that much these days so he is so appreciated! I got the hazed cat lady IPA which was amazing. So approachable and great. Can't wait to bring my husband to try it, he will love it. We are from the PMW and our standards are pretty high with draft brews. I came cross 12 West really on accident once, from a quick Yelp search of breweries in the vicinity, and was pleasantly surprised at the location of this place. Squished up next to an amazing pizzeria, inside a quonset with other local vendors, you can get your drink on and devour a pizza at the same time. But I won't go into the pizza now - the BEER is epic. Most recently I stopped in for a cold one after a hot bike ride on the trail. It's just a short bit off of a canal trail in Gilbert. There is bike parking outside between the brewery and the wine cellar and a great patio to sit outside. I picked out a few for a sample flight a couple of times, the K-Lax and the Fox on the Shelf stand out as the exceptional flavors in the bunch both times. In fact, there were some beers on the flight (forgot which ones now) that I really had a hard time even finishing. But K-Lax is perfect for a post-ride hot day beer, and Fox on the Shelf is my personal favorite and leaves a powerful caramel after-note on your tongue and I really just can't get enough. There's a water tap inside, cups provided, and even board games for hanging out on a warm afternoon. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and great for recommendations and the crowd here is always pleasant, plus its located in a nice little green spot next to citrus trees. But did I mention you can just walk over and order a pizza to go with your beer? Really, 12 West has it all, and I'm picky about my beers, especially Arizona beers and the two aforementioned beers are top notch. read more
