Both were fried perfectly. Slaw was more savory than sweet. Where the service was sorely lacking was with server communication. She checked on us frequently but every time we said thank you, she didn't respond. How difficult is it to say "you're welcome" or "my pleasure"? Maybe we're both just used to Texans where everyone is over-the-top kind. I worked in F&B for almost 10 years...you always acknowledge your customers, good or bad. I understand getting a char finish but this was beyond that and very dry. Luckily the bourbon sauce gave it back some flavor.
