This little spot turned out to be a pleasant surprise! I actually stopped by twice once for dinner and when I got into town, and again for breakfast before heading out. For dinner, I went with their classic bacon cheeseburger with steak fries and honestly, it was a pretty solid burger for a small cafe! Cooked perfectly, juicy, and flavorful. The fries were good too, though I'd personally add a touch of seasoning next time. The morning before I left town, I ordered my go-to classic breakfast - eggs over medium, hash browns, rye toast, and bacon and it did not disappoint! Everything was cooked just right. The hashbrowns even came out crispy without me asking, which rarely happens. The service both times was great, friendly, fast, and attentive. Both waitresses I had were so kind and made me feel right at home. If you're passing through Plover, definitely give Plover Cafe a try -a cozy little spot that serves up comfort food done right

Great find on the middle of nowhere and right off the highway. It's very clean, decorated nicely, and the food and service are great too!

This is their side salad. Yum! I had the raspberry vinaigrette.

Excellent food. I had the Alpine Chicken Sandwich. Large portions, clean restaurant and restrooms and very good pecan pie. Our waitress was very sweet and did an excellent job.

Irish Benedict, pancake combo, and a side order of hash browns.

My favorite breakfast place in the area! We've been a dozen times and every single time we have had excellent service and incredible food. The pancakes are fluffy, the eggs are always perfectly cooked, and I dream about their perfectly tender corned beef. The owner is super friendly and very clearly has his heart in the place. I look forward to being a long term customer.

Prices are very reasonable, and I like that the sandwiches come with a side choice of soup, salad, or fries.

What a treat this restaurant was to our senses! The atmosphere was spot on! The only thing that…read morekept them from 5 stars was the service. As we were walking to our table, the smell of customers plates came at us and it caused my stomach to grumble and my mouth to water as I anticipated what was to come. I ordered the braised pork poutine as I've never met a bad potato. I was NOT disappointed. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The braised pork and gravy was lip-smacking, finger-licking good. I only wished I had a larger stomach so I could've eaten more. Hubby ordered fish fry and substituted his fries for rings. Both were fried perfectly. Slaw was more savory than sweet. Where the service was sorely lacking was with server communication. She checked on us frequently but every time we said thank you, she didn't respond. How difficult is it to say "you're welcome" or "my pleasure"? Maybe we're both just used to Texans where everyone is over-the-top kind. I worked in F&B for almost 10 years...you always acknowledge your customers, good or bad. We'll definitely return but how nice it would be to be acknowledged next time. After all, we're giving you our hard-earned money for not only food but also a pleasant experience.

The atmosphere is very warm and inviting with seating inside and out, and my server was outstanding. Unfortunately the good stops there as the food was disappointing. Several pork dishes on the menu didn't interest me so at the suggestion of my server I opted for the bourbon burger with fry's. The burger stated that it would be prepared medium well which is how I would have ordered it however it was nothing short of well done. I understand getting a char finish but this was beyond that and very dry. Luckily the bourbon sauce gave it back some flavor. The fry's were left in the oil a little to long as well and then heavily salted. On top of the disappointing food I was informed when I was paying the check that they would be adding a 4% surcharge for using a credit card to pay with. I travel during the week for work so I eat out several times a week and I have never been charged an up charge for paying by credit card.

The pepperjack burger at Mikey's is a perfect fit for my burger craving. I hold the fries and have their soup.

The sky club was exactly what I am looking for, I have never had anything bad or even mid there. Very tasty steaks and sides. The salad bar is huge and lots of options. Service was fast and attentive. The ambiance is exactly what you expect at a supper club, dim and cosy with a roaring fire. A bit pricy but worth it. high quality food and great flavor.

Sky Club claims to have the first salad bar in the US. We felt that MUST be worth going out of our…read moreway for. Trust me, folks. It's not. We arrived prior to our reservation, so we sat at the bar while waiting and frankly that was the best part until a bartender stuck a glass into the ice well and broke said glass, then picked some ice and presumably broken glass out. I can say that after watching Bar Rescue since season one I was at a code red upon witnessing that, but my husband that works in food/bev service who abides by the protocols for said circumstance was horrified and literally stopped getting anything that required ice after seeing they didn't empty the ice well and clean it out before replacing glassy-icy with fresh ice. Then we were taken to our table and encountered our poor waitress, Tiff. She had tables in sections so far away from us--separately partitioned sections but also a separate room. Service was horrible, but she was spread so that thin it was clearly an owner/manager problem (as the other two waitresses we saw were never in the other sections, yet she was at close to a run between the three). Sky Club could have at least had bussers clearing the courses, but instead our table was a wasteland of glasses, bowls, app plates and main course plates. And I'd be embarrassed to claim my place had the first salad bar in the US if it was a disaster of mayhem regarding both order and produce. It's only a salad bar, no soup, yet plates were around the entirety of the baby salad bar. People kept grabbing one of the myriads of stacked plates and cutting in at nonsensical points. There were spoiled grape tomatoes and broccoli heads, huge partial heads of lettuce, yet no cottage cheese??? The beef stroganoff had overcooked pasta, the beef and mushrooms were indistinguishable from one another, and there was not enough "gravy" (that's what their menu called it). Prime rib was gray and bland. Shrimp was bland. Salmon was bland. Mac & cheese was dry and bland. There were five of us, and the only thing that was truly enjoyed at any point was the French onion soup. We wanted to order more drinks and planned on having dessert, but due to how thin management spread Tiff, we basically prayed to baby Jesus just to get our bill. Shame on the owners/management! She was literally running, while older waitresses with a handful of tables were lounging. Teach the old ones to buss tables. This is not a good look for Sky Club. Not only did you lose money on food & drinks with mismanagement, but out of all the supper clubs in the state, we never want or plan to return again.
