DO NOT GO HERE!!!…read more They have new phlebotomist right out of the online classes without any experience! You are the experience!! 5 Difficult Blood Draw Solutions | Montes HealthCare College You must take the tourniquet off after the needle is in the vein and blood flow is established, ideally right as the first tube starts to fill or within one minute, and definitely before you pull the needle out to prevent sample contamination (hemoconcentration) and patient discomfort/bruising, releasing it before final needle removal. Leaving it on too long (over 2 mins) can damage tissues, nerves, and alter test values, causing issues like bruising, pain, nerve damage, or tissue death (ischemia/necrosis) in extreme, prolonged cases. I felt BAD for the older lady that was getting poke over 5times I will report this clinic they need to be healed accountable especially after I told the Asian guy drawing blood why he kept the turn the tourniquet on if the blood flow was already existing!! And had the nerve to tell me I need to drink more water!!!

They are very slow for some reasons. I ended up not getting my blood drawn because I can't spent 1.5 to 2 hours just waiting for this. I went to the other location on Hellman street in Monterey Park, it was not better at all. very small waiting room, full of people, no one at the front counter. They close for lunch at 11:30, I arrived around 10:40. There are about 10 people sitting in the waiting room. They probably won't take me anyway. According to the previous review, they close for lunch early as the listed schedule, they will start turning people away at 11. Don't understand why insurance and doctors refer patients to this lab. I tried, blood drawing is such a painful experiences for me physically and mentally with this labs. Not going to do blood drawing this year, skip it.

Multiple people in the waiting room were complaining about how long they were waiting, how the Arcadia Quest used to be much faster, etc. After waiting in stand-by for an hour, I and another person were told that we would not be able to come in as standby, without an appointment. With only 10 minutes left to the day, staff stated that there were still two appointments they were waiting on and wouldn't take us, even though those people were not present. Since COVID, Quest has used this online appointment system which makes things so difficult for multiple patients and seems inefficient to the actual work of getting blood tests done during the work window. Repeatedly disappointed with the way they run the clinics and policies. Their location email address if you need to send an order, since they also make this difficult: pscvu4@questdiagnostics.com

Care from male lab tech was friendly, but subsequent female techs were cold. Had bloodwork done, came to find out the machines are not calibrated enough or well enough resulting in a catastrophic misdiagnosis that I dealt with for 9 months. They opened the doors and gave a number to each person in line. I was number 34. When they call your number you give your ID and Insurance card. They give you a cup and you do your urine sample in the public restroom outside the clinic and you HOLD ON TO IT. Then they call your name to go in for your blood to be drawn. Start to finish, I was there for exactly 2 hours. They were organized in the way they handled the huge amount of people. They had 2 nurses inside taking blood. One nurse handling the intake. And another doing Misc organizing/managing. I have gone here in the afternoon once before and it was very quick and everything was done inside the clinic. I just think Saturday mornings are just extremely busy for them. Having appointments would be helpful, but they do things smoothly for the amount of people they're seeing in a day.

However, it is a rather long drive so I decided to checkout the El Monte location. It is posted on Google and other websites that this location is open from 1-5 on Thursdays. I went at 1 and saw a sign posted out front the actual hours for Thursdays is from 1:20. So I decide to wait in my car with AC pumping to survive the heat since there's not a lobby or anything with shade to wait in anywhere in that weird strip mall kind of place with random acupuncturist and 3rd world looking medical offices. So I went back at 1:25PM and the door is still locked!!! Anyways, I decided to take my losses and go home instead. A requested day off gone to waste :(
