This is a very 4-star restaurant. I only ate here once, but the sesame chicken was the epitome of good not great. However, once again, I only ate here once, other people rave about it, and the service is exceptional. Maybe I should have ordered the General Tso's Chicken or Chicken Lo Mein (no vegetables). I recommend looking at the photo of the half open gate to the restaurant. If you ask me, I will let you know if the restaurant was opened or closed at that time. Recommended. read more

I am totally confused. My computer shows that 4 Winds is open Thursday thru Sunday, but the hotel operator in Bossier City tells me it is temporarily closed. So I called the steakhouse there and they said 4 Winds is not coming back. It was the best oriental restaurant I have ever been to anywhere in this country and it was always busy. I cannot believe that they would close the place for good. What a loss. They were the reason I played at the Horseshoe, now I may as well go to a casino closer to home. Very sad. This is a great Asian fusion restaurant located inside the Horseshoe hotel & casino. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. The entree portions are large and served family style. Our party of two had an appetizer and shared an entree and couldn't finish. We started with the steamed Chinese dumplings, they were filled with pork, shrimp and vegetables. They were extremely flavorful & delicious and completely stuffed, it was like a huge meatball inside the dumpling. The dumplings were served with 4 sauces, garlic cilantro, hot mustard, sweet & sour, and plum with ginger. I'm holding back one star because it did take quite some time for the appetizer and shortly after the dumplings were served the meal was ready so timing was off a little bit on our night. For our entree we ordered cashew chicken and the waitress was sure to tell us it came in a garlic white sauce but if we preferred they could make the brown sauce like most Texans are used to eating cashew chicken. She was very kind and thoughtful in telling us this, and not in a negative way a all. She explained that she has had some dissatisfied customers who were expecting their cashew chicken to be in a brown sauce so she just wanted to let us know up front. We opted for the white sauce the way they make it and while the taste was different it was good. We added broccoli to the dish to make it even better! We also ordered shrimp fried rice it was a huge portion, very flavorful and loaded full of shrimp. They don't have a dessert menu to look at however the waitress gave us the run down so just ask your server. We ordered the cheesecake to go and it was a huge portion, very light and creamy. There wasn't a crumb crust at the bottom as I'm used to having on cheesecake but that didn't take away from the pleasure of eating the dessert. I was thankful that they packaged the raspberry sauce on the side. The table next to ours ordered the chocolate cake and it looked like it had 7 layers. Be sure to check out my pics. This is a nice restaurant and the dress is business casual however it is literally steps away from the casino so there were some less than business casual dress going on the night we were there. They are open until midnight Friday and Saturday so very convenient and reasonably priced especially if you're sick of the buffet. Will definitely dine here again next time. read more

The food is authentic, but for how fancy this restaurant is, I was appalled by their service. Our server was rude and rushed us throughout the entire dinner service. She would rush to fill up the water and wouldn't even acknowledge that she had spilled it on us or the tablecloth and then just walk away. read more

Our waitress named Anney was not very attentive. She made me feel very rushed to order and insisted the only way to get fried rice was to pay $11-15 for one of the fried rice entrees which I thought was absurd. I just wanted to switch the steamed rice that came with my TSO meal out for a small side of fried rice. Once we got the fried rice (I had to order the Four Winds fried rice plate for $11) it was over cooked and extremely mushy and was not impressed at all. We did not eat it. When we told our watches she sarcastically said sorry and walked away. The TSO chicken, fried Prawns(with the Jalapeño cilantro sauce they bring with it is a MUST) and shrimp lo neon noodle dish were are delicious!! Amazing! I love it so much, that for the last 10-12 years I have had my hubby take me here for my birthday and our anniversary. It's THAT GOOD!! The ambiance, with white table cloths, candle light, and spring water poured from fancy bottles make it very romantic. Our favorites are the four winds rice, crab Rangoon's, and the orange chicken. The orange chicken is so fresh that it's still crispy! The portions are large enough to split family style. You won't be disappointed! Go try it! read more

One of our favorite places and you can often find us here on Friday nights. Andrea is the best server so ask for her. We always start with the spring rolls followed by vegetable fried rice and either General Tsao or sweet and sour. An entree is enough to split with two people. Very good food! Had lemongrass soup to start, with shrimp and just the right amount of spicy. Plum wine was young but refreshing. Four Winds Veggie delight was very fresh, had tomatoes in it which was a little different but very good! Chicken fried rice was also very good. Had plenty of food in the portions. Key lime pie for desert was just the right size and finished off the evening dinner just right with cup of coffee. Attentive service from bus boy, waiter was talking to other staff too much but was on top of it when bus boy signaled him. Fortune cookie was without a good flavor, have not played the numbers on the back of fortune yet so can't rate the restaurant bases on the winnings. Very strong 4 star. Attentive service and great food. Chicken lettuce wrap was very good and plenty for 4 people. Had the scallops with snow peas. Typically I find the small bay scallops with chinese restaurants but I was pleasantly surprised to find the large sea scallops. There were 6 and were really good in a brown sauce with veggies. Unfortunately I would not eat here again, the service is horrible! The hostess has no idea what's going on and it took forever to get the check after I asked. Saw lots of servers literally running around like maniacs. So to the food, it's ok not great. I had hot and sour soup, it was the worst I've ever had. Moo shoo pork was average at best. This place was amazing. They should be sold out, line out the door every day. The menu alone is so creative and inspiring, and the flavors will not disappoint you. The chefs and staff should all be given awards. The portions handed out are more than generous and you can definitely spit dishes, but it's so good you are better to try multiple dishes and share! We went back the second day for more. We ordered the Lemon grass soup, nothing like any I've had before. Incredibly fresh, spicy hot and to die for. As authentic as it can get for the mainland. The staff is obviously hand picked for this restaurant. They only add to the restaurant's genuineness. Very professional and elegant. Leave it to a casino to pull this off. The scallops, lettuce wraps, sea- bass, dumplings and pork fried rice were excellent and super large portions. Ambiance is contemporary Asian with just the right level of sound. Prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity served.
