I was excited to try the Ramen, but when it came to the table I was visually underwhelmed. The noodles looked (and tasted) like a 20¢ package of Top Ramen with egg that looked like it was dumped straight into the bowl instead of being premixed with corn starch and ribboned in, the broth tasted like it was packaged with a few shakes of hot sauce, all combined with nice garnish and very tasty dumplings. The restaurant was very clean, comfortable, and the staff was super friendly and accommodating (they actually refunded a customer's credit card transaction from an earlier time in the day so she could have the transaction put on a different card). Though my lunch buddy said the Teriyaki chicken didn't have much flavor either, I really want to come back and try something different. read more

I had seen this place in passing a few times when I was in the downtown area but it was never during normal business hours. I was in town working an expo at the convention center so my son and I decided to give it a try... The food was amazing but the most impressive part was the wife of the owner(he was cooking in the back). In a time of too many restaurants making excuses, she was an absolute delight and was engaging with the most positive attitude. The food was top notch and was nothing like the generic "Chinese" food that most people have become accustomed to at most restaurants. My only complaint is that they are in the downtown district and we live in way South Bossier! We will be back for lunch in the near future though. Looking forward to it! read more

I got delivery thru Door Dash, and have not been to the actual location. It was easy enough to order. I had ordered the chicken teriyaki, and I am not sure the meat was actually chicken. I am usually pretty fair with my reviews but hate giving negative reviews. However, in the best interest of your palate and innards, it may be best to avoid this place until they develop a better menu. Just like many other Yelpers, I saw the 4-stars for this place and just went for it. Failed to read any of the reviews because I was hungry and in a hurry. My first two choices had terrible health scores, so I ended up going with my #3: this place. The order process was very easy: I did it on Yelp. And the food was ready for takeout quickly, so as soon as I walked in the man handed me my food. Took it to my room and had a bite of each of my spicy noodles (instant ramen) and the Volcano Roll. Had I paid half of what I did, the whole meal would have gone into the trash. The ramen was just cooked instant ramen with whatever cheap soup mix that came with it. It was SO bland and nowhere near as spicy as I would've liked. I had to add some packet of Taco Bell hot sauce just to give it a little more heat. And don't bother paying extra for the additional meat... Absolutely NOT WORTH IT. Probably the scam part about the noodles, besides the overall flavor. The wontons I added, which were just steamed wontons - probably from a frozen grocery store packet - were nothing special. But they were the only addition to my noodles I was okay paying for in the end. The Volcano Roll is advertised in the menu as "oven grilled", but I'm pretty sure that shit was just microwaved. It was full of the fake crab, which I usually try to avoid; and I have no idea what was going on with that sauce. A little kick to the sauce but not bad. But overall the dish failed to meet any of my expectations. And I believe it's the reason my guts have been bothering all night and keeping me up. (I'm writing this review at 2 AM. Yeah... THAT BAD.) Inside the shop was clean and the food was ready fast, so that's why the two stars. But this place doesn't deserve more than that. But what I found really interesting during my quick visit was the fact that the guy who had my order is Korean. Why in the hell is this place not a Korean restaurant??? There are more than enough garbage sushi places in this town, and some other Vietnamese spots, but this town is severely lacking in Korean cuisine. I think that in itself is unusual because there's a military base right there, and usually where there's a base there's at least a Korean restaurant and a Filipino restaurant. If this place was a Korean spot, considering who works here and the downtown location, I think this place could make some major coin. But instead we have a noodle spot that is WAY past its prime and probably needs to just close shop. read more

This place is tucked away inside the Beck Building with a main entrance on Edwards St and a back entrance through the lobby on Travis St. There are only ~10 tables, so it's a quiet atmosphere. Just had another great lunch here, having a very large bowl of Spicy Ramen Soup. The food comes out hot and fresh. If you work downtown, make a point to have lunch here. Fair prices, awkward location (unless you work downtown). Ordered several items for lunch, two rolls, side fried rice and gyoza. Gyoza small, but tasty, sauce provided was nearly pure vinegar (not your typical ponzu) Fried rice just tasted odd, it wasn't nasty by any means just lacked much flavor. Rolls were ok, nothing mind blowing and ingredients are kept a bit simpler (Had the volcano and grilled shrimp). Sauces on par with what you would expect. Overall, its a neat little place and down the road will need to try more of the menu. Imagine it's perfect for something different to eat downtown. read more
