    Grilled beef LAAB (larb) salad
    Ce Ce T.

2 stars for fastness and good service. papaya salad (extra hot) - Wasn't what I was used to at all. No flavor, maybe they only used salt and lime. (Don't know) but that's what it seemed like to me. Not a normal papaya salad. I'll passed. Larb beef - Ok. The beef was tender. Had a little bit of flavor. But I definitely had to add more salt on it. And took the lime from my papaya salad to make it more tangy. I'll passed.

Nice sized portion. Location was a little smoky from friers. Tasty pho. Worth visiting.

Papaya salad, Shredded beef laab with missing steamed rice and $6 worth of sticky rice in a sandwich baggy!!!!
    Madelyne M.

I have been catering for over 8 years and I would never deliver a customer a sandwhich baggy full of rice, that cost $6!!!!! No one should be okay being served like this!!! I asked if this was all of my order(I was polite) was looked at as if, I lost my mind. Come to find out, items were missing from My order. I was so excited to find a Thai & Loas restaurant. Was I expecting back home quality??? NO!!! But this right here is ridiculous!! Perhaps this is what they consider catering to the American palate. (Which we have been told before by Asian restaurant owners here) I am very familiar with authentic Thai and Loas food. This isn't it!!!

On a layover on the road we stayed at the Horseshoe in Bossier City…read more We had a food credit on our players card and put it to work at Jasmine's Noodle Bar. Pretty full Vietnamese menu and the place is fairly clean, though it's in a casino and so the crowds seem to come in waves. We were there on a Friday night before heading back home to Dallas the next morning. Price is pretty hefty at $23 for a bowl of pho, beef. Though it's a big bowl I just can't imagine the cost of beef and noodles in a soup would be that much. Again, we got a food credit so I didn't have to pay for it and left a $5 tip in their jar to say thanks. You order and pay first and then you can go sit down and wait until they call your name. Definitely had the faint whispers of that soulful soup that some pho places have, but to me a little overdone with scallions and white onions. Portion was pretty good, but the meat was a tad bit rubbery. They did have tripe which I absolutely love as well as the tendons so again it's ok to eat here, especially if it's on a food credit from gambling....where you probably spent more than the cost of the soup just to get the soup free....LOL

The SHRIMP SPRING ROLLS, however, left much to be desired. We unfortunately had to finally break open the spring roll wrap and eat only the shrimp out of it. Way too many noodles and the wrap was so chewy you could barely eat it let alone enjoy it. The WATER BOTTLE is how they serve their water to their guests. The PHO WITH ROUND EYE STEAK AND SOFT TENDON was good. The broth was excellent. The vegetables very fresh. The eye was quite tough, and having soft tendon before, it wasn't soft and sweet as previous establishments have. There were hard pieces and it was quite chewy. As you can see from the pictures, they do not "fancy the plates" with decoration or garnish. Very plain. Overall, it was a good experience. I will go back, but I will definitely not be having the spring rolls. As for the establishment itself, it was clean, but very basic.

I ordered a regular seafood pho which came out in a smaller bowl compared to my husband's regular size. Didn't seem consistent, my daughter also ordered a regular meatball pho and the bowl was small too. I'm not sure if it's the type of pho you order, but $16 for seafood pho in this size with shrimp and imitation crab meat, is not worth the price. Definitely not what I'm used to. The egg rolls were pretty good. And customer service was good as well. We may return to try their banh mi sandwiches in the future.

Then we got fried rice etouffee, cheese fries and crawfish for the table. The étouffée was pretty good, but strangely I needed to salt it. The cheese fries were my least favorite. I really like the cheese topping with crawfish but the fries had too much spice on them. They were hot spicy but over spiced flavor-wise. And the crawfish was really good. But being a Louisiana gal that enjoys to suck the head, the butter in the sauce made it too rich to do that. But the tails were delicious. We also had some corn and potatoes that were buttery and yummy. For dessert we tried the fried dough. It was good, but I'm not a sweets eater, so it was too sweet for me. Everyone else at the table tore it up! I wish I got the waitress's name, because she was really good!! Overall a great place to eat and we will be back.

I wish I could give this a zero, honestly…read more I called in a to-go order for the mixed fried rice (according to their menu, it's supposed to have shrimp, pork, beef, and chicken). This is apparently a really popular item here. The rice is almost inedible. Some of it was undercooked and most was overcooked. There were ZERO shrimp. It was filled with pork. The chicken was black pepper flavored and nothing else. The entire dish was flavorless. This was my cheat meal, and I threw it away after a few bites...sad waste. I won't be back.
