I walked in today with a pretty clear request. The desk area had no open seats and a large group of people were waiting because there was only 1 staff member present and a woman redirected others to either contact me back another time or to see one of the 2 tellers. The tellers rolled there eyes because they are not able to help then redirect us to a 1-800 phone number with no other help. It's really pointless to have a brick and mortar building at that point. It has finally inspired me to move my money elsewhere!

I've been a happy customer of Chase Bank for many years. However…read more... Recently I've had to do many transactions inside the Selden branch which involved a bank representative. I met w/Iris 2 separate times & she helped me. I returned the next day with 40 minutes til closing & waited for a rep - No one greeted me, but there were 2 reps just chatting it up, who glanced my way. After standing up periodically to remind the reps of my presence, and 10 minutes later, I finally walked up to the teller, & she went to the bank rep. She came back to tell me that I needed an appt. That's something the reps could've said, instead of ignoring a customer & talking about personal things. Days later I sched an appt; Omar called me to reconfirm that morning - good start! I met with him to remove myself from 1 Acct - which he did, & to close a dormant Acct, When he saw that I had a small amount in this dormant Acct, he told me to transfer the funds. I had difficulty doing this & showed him my phone & he basically reiterated what he said - to transfer funds then he'll close it. As if he'd rather do something else as he waited for me to transfer the funds. I said to myself - No shyt Sherlock, I need help. I said thanks & left & went to the bank teller. She helped me. I don't want to say Chase Selden has an issue, because the tellers that I've encountered there, are always friendly, not lazy, & are accommodating. So, I'm going to continue my dealings with the bank, but, I'll use the reps at a different location when needed. I've since transferred out a lot of my funds to a different bank. I hope that Chase bank works on their customer service skills & how to deal with customers. That, to me, is the experience-friendly, patient, kind, people who know their job....and if they don't know their job, they're not too lazy to find out!! It's because of this experience - not being acknowledged as I sat for 10 minutes, getting 1/2 azz assistance when I needed help, that's why I took my real funds & took them somewhere that I know I'm valued. The representative I dealt with was nice, but when I needed him to go over what was discussed I left Several messages and he never called back. The wrong amount was paid and the wrong monthly payment was set up. Spoke to customer service and that was another arduous process. I just stopped in to cash a check and withdraw some money from a separate account and I pulled up to the drive-through sat there for 10 minutes and the line did not move so I swung around and parked and went into the bank only to find a line inside and when I asked one of the employees who was sitting at the desk if they can help me cash a check he said no and told me to go to the ATM. That was not the answer that I wanted because I want to specific bills back and I much prefer dealing with people over an ATM.

I had a free checking account for 3 years then they upgraded me to a premium checking account with fees without my consent or agreement, I went and tried to get my original basic free checking and they say they will switch it right away and it lasts 2-3 days then reverts back to the 25/month fee. I have done everything they ask to change it and they at this point must be feigning incompetence as a policy because they can't seem to fix this. I constantly have to police my statements and get the un authorized fees removed and a few times they have charged the fees and used them to overdraw the account then refund the fee but try to argue the overdraft. I am so tired of them I have removed most of my business from them and switched to my credit union. Horrible experiences over and over with Citibank over 13 yrs and it's been a steady decline.
