This morning my wife drove me to OrthoSouth in Bartlett for medical attention. However, I was denied care after being informed that the facility does not accept Tricare Prime as an insurance provider. When I asked if I could pay out-of-pocket, I was further informed that OrthoSouth only accepts payment through insurance and therefore could not provide treatment. I find it both appalling and deeply disrespectful that a medical institution would refuse care to a military retiree under these circumstances. In my view, every medical facility in the United States should accept the insurance provided to our veterans and military retirees. To deny service to those who have honorably served--many of whom depend on Tricare Prime--is unacceptable. In fact, staff at the front desk mentioned they had turned away another veteran earlier that same day. This experience left me with the clear impression that OrthoSouth prioritizes profit over patient care. To all military veterans and retirees: OrthoSouth is not a facility you will want to rely on for medical services. Their refusal to provide care is a disservice to the 1% of us who have dedicated our lives to serving our country.

But enough about that. Regardless of my injury, they always see me the same day or next day. Dr. Saenz is always awesome. He gives you the best option for treatment and a couple of others for stubborn, hardheaded people who refuse to slow down like me. Believe me, if it calls for a shot, SUCK IT UP and take the shot! My biggest issue in the past was the parking. They were located in the doctors building at St Francis in Bartlett. Now they have a fantastic new facility across the street from the hospital. The office is very nice, the waiting room is huge wit comfy seating and there is plenty of parking. I would recommend Dr. Saenz and Tabor Orthopedic to everyone.

My interactions with Shawna the physical therapist and PT assistants were fantastic…read more My experience with Pittman Physical Therapy has led me to believe that they are not a financially trustworthy organization. On my first day of physical therapy, the lady at the front desk told me that she had looked up my insurance and that I hadn't met my deductible yet. I was informed that I would be charged $140 for the first visit and $100 for each of the following visit 7 visits. I was asked to sign some documentation that this billing information was correct and that I was responsible for looking up and confirming my insurance status. In the moment, this seemed wildly expensive and not correct, but I handed her my HSA card and paid for the first visit. The next day I was able to get in contact with my insurance company. They informed me that a claim had not been filed yet and that I did not have a deductible for physical therapy, but a co-pay. This information left me perplexed as it countered what I was told by the physical therapy office. I called and spoke with the front desk lady who had given me the initial wrong information. She told me that she had consulted with a generic website that showed her my insurance information. I asked her how she "knew" that my deductible was not met yet and her response deflected the question. I informed her that I did not have a deductible, but a co-pay, and again asked her about how she knew my deductible hadn't been met. She deflected again. I told her it felt like she had lied to me about my insurance information and she got very defensive saying, "I'm just a human and we all make mistakes." In my personal opinion, a mistake would have been just telling someone the wrong information, but to make up information and tell it to someone (and have greater financial gain) is frankly dishonest. At my next visit she had me sign a new financial agreement with the correct numbers on them. At my following visit, I asked the front desk lady for an itemized receipt of my first few visits (to give to my HSA). She snapped, I can't get that for you right now. However, by the time I finished the appointment she had provided me with an itemized receipt. On the day of my last visit, the front desk lady told me, "if we owe you anything, you'll get a check in the mail." A few days after my last visit I had the opportunity to leave an internal review of my experience. I was honest and fair in my review. I received a phone call that afternoon from someone within the company; he heard me out. However, before he finished the call, he asked me if there was anything he could do for me. I asked him to find out if I owed any money or was going to receive a check in return. He said he would let me know. It has now been over a month and I have not heard from Pittman physical therapy. My interactions with everyone, but the physical therapist and PT assistants, have been repeatedly unprofessional and suspicious and really make me have a hard time trusting Pittman Physical Therapy. I can't imagine I'm the only one this sort of behavior is happening with. I won't go back, nor do I recommend them.

The doctor was very knowledgeable about my colonic hydrotherapy and even suggested a few more treatments to get. This is my first visit but I know it won't be my last. If you at all hesitant don't be they are very careful and caution with you they make sure you understand what's going on what's about to happen and what to expect afterwards... thanks again for a great colonic experience.

But I started to have doubts closer to my appointment because of poor customer service. So, I canceled my appointment and was back to square one. Then I found MMG- Sanderlin. Thankfully, they took new patients. I checked in and I was called in a little over 5 minutes later. The staff were generous: Andrea, Nurse Practitioner Amanda Lee, and Lynda. They were respectful and answered my questions that I had. I was done within an hour. I enjoyed my time there. I highly recommend this place.

I have been left on hold and no one came back, given miss information and waited for over 15 minutes for someone to pick up. They are overly polite but sadly, lacking in good customer service. My doctor's office said they would call with instructions prior to your surgery and they did great. They called and reminded me of my visit, gave clear instructions on where to go and what to expect. I was in and out. Then 2 days prior to surgery they called to give a time to arrive. Then the day of I was called due to schedule change to come earlier. I was promptly checked in and headed to outpatient surgery. I was greeted by the entire staff and checked in for vitals by two great nurses, Heather and Rutledge . Both were very genuine and personable. Heather wheeled me back to OR waiting where I met OR nurse Betsy, Bess or Beth, Dr. Bridgewater the anesthesiologist, a guy name George who was hilarious and of course my guy, my surgeon Dr. TOY. Surgery went well and I was escorted out that same day. Baptist Collierville security was so nice during preadmit, the nurses during preadmit testing and Sada at Registration was also very nice. The hopsital is very clean as well as the parking lot. The staff was super nice and accommadating for my mom too. 3 days post-op surgery Baptist Collierville called to check on me after surgery. Now that is good customer service.
