It was hard to decide which cookie to try but I went with the s'mores one: marshmallow, graham cracker and chocolate inside. It was SO soft, chewy and gooey--absolute perfection! Highly recommend. We got a four-pack with two choco chips, the Carmelita and the peanut butter cup. The first cookie we tried was the choco chip. I like a good chewy cookie but we both thought it was so thick it didn't get completely done. Good flavor. The Carmelita was good--so good we wish we had four of them in our pack. I got coconut, caramel bits (plus the drizzle) and chocolate chips. Maybe a little oatmeal too. Really good. If it's in the rotation, get it. The peanut butter cup was good but like the chocolate chip ones, was a bit underdone for my taste. Everything had great flavor though!

The 1st 2 times I had the steak and my husband had the ham sandwich (I know... he's a sandwich man... but it's seriously good). Last night I took 2 of my girlfriends for dessert. One is gluten free so we got the lava cake. Kale, who was my waiter for our 1st visit, was our waiter again. He remembered my name and my husband's name! He also remembered me asking about a GF menu for my friend. He is so warm and inviting and kind-- I'm not sure Rise knows how lucky they are to have him! If I didn't like the food, I might still go based on service and atmosphere alone. But let me tell you.... The food is divine. Inside, the shop has a lot of cute seating areas, both indoors and outdoors. They also offer a fun variety of flavors. I ordered a small cup of the honeycomb lavender ice cream, which came with a free waffle chip. They also have cones, flavored cones, and other options if you want something a little more elaborate. The ice cream itself was very creamy and delicious. I would have loved to have some actual chunks of honeycomb mixed in, but the honeycomb flavor still came through nicely, and there was a swirl in the ice cream that added to it. Overall, it was a really delicious scoop and felt well worth it. I visited on a Thursday afternoon around 3:00 p.m., and it was already fairly busy with families, moms, and young kids. I imagine it gets even busier in the evenings, especially during the summer after dinner. Overall, it is a neighborhood-friendly spot with great ice cream and a fun neighborhood feel.

The staff was helpful when we were looking for suggestions and had questions and the whole place had this modern French bakery feel that I adored.
