We came upon Fourth Street Live! by accident when heading out to dinner after a conference at the Galt House Hotel. The live music was phenomenal and while it was crowded, it wasn't too packed to dance or move around. I like that the top of the street is covered and the street looks so fun and festive all lit up at night. It appears you can walk up and down the street and find several places to grab a drink or a meal. If you are staying at the Galt House hotel, it is a short walk. I loved the many choices for tasting whiskey or grabbing some good food, but many places had a long wait if you didn't have a reservation. Fun place to visit, while in town, for sure. Especially if you are with a group of people who don't mind walking and exploring the area. But be sure to wear comfy shoes! I had boots with a heel and regretted it later that night.

I've been here a few times over the years. I used to be a frequent flyer here back in my early 20s when all the good places were here. Sullys, Angel Rock Bar, Tengo, Hotel Night club. Yup I'm that old lol. What I miss the most is the live performances that they have outside. I recently came for the Wine Walk. I came here the previous year and it was ok. Although they had some good wines, I wish there were more wineries participating. VIP perks were awesome and there were some good food sampling as well. We were given some tokens for the event, and got quite a bit of swag as well. There was even live entertainment which made the event a good time, just wish more wineries were participating. I do like to come to 4th street live for events and entertainment. However, I rate it 3 stars because some areas around the place are shady, so just be aware of your surroundings. Also parking can be a challenge as well.

Went to S&SC for dinner around 5p. There were 5 customers total. Yet when I came in the door the entire wait staff was chilling at the bar and merely looked at me as though I was lost. After being seated it was still a long time for food, and the waitress spent more time hanging with friends than at my table. Honestly the service was not great, empty, but food was ok.

It's been a while since I've spent some time at 4th street. But this Sunday my bestie and I decided to take advantage of the brunch/mimosa event down at 4th street. We had a fantastic time with the different vendors, live music and great atmosphere. I usually go to GB when I am in fourth street but after today, I think I will try the other different restaurants for a change!

I love a covered gathering space. During our visit it was hit or miss if businesses were open and there were some shuttered businesses. Fun and eye catching things abound in this area though. We got a kick out of the signs on the light posts just in case you felt too removed from bourbon they pointed you in the direction of a distillery.

It's the typical bar scene been there done that. However, the band was really good. Mainly for the younger crowd 20ish or so...

Looked like an attractive restaurant tourist spot with outdoor dining. A lot of sad people talking to themselves and security was busy keeping them moving. Music played it looks pretty and I think it could've had promise. We came for lunch and there weren't too many people dining here. There is the stage so maybe they're all concerts things in the evening

We were here on Friday weekend. This place call 4 street live. But we did not see anything live performance at this place. We saw many people wondering around. I was expecting at least the live music. It is Friday night. Should have some something. But nothing happened. The street do have a lot of place to drink. Including local Kentucky bourbon. They have Jim bean, S&SC, Hard Rock, TGI Friday. Many drinks place. I bet you ice cream place will be popular and there is one and is long line because they are the only one that under aged people can enjoy. The entire street was block for pedestrians only.

It is a high school dance for adults. The awkwardness, the music, the vibe. Just not with the time.

Love coming here! They've added many more restaurants now and there's a lot to eat! Lots of bars and such too. They host a ton of country concerts here for cheap! My friend and I walked around. On a Sunday just past 1, it wasn't all that busy. Just families walking around a bit. Usually, I see tourists around here. The design of the place is just super cool and something worth taking a picture of. I love the huge Hard Rock guitar. All the lights look fantastic at night as well! There were two guys performing live music there. Not sure if that type of stuff happens a lot but they were pretty talented! Can't wait to venture over here again!

Went to Fourth Street Live to hear the local Band, Most Wanted on Friday evening. It was a very eclectic crowd with a fun atmosphere, great music, dancing, food and drink available and an all around good time. This venue has been a staple in Downtown Louisville for years and it has been a while since we have been there. Due to the location there are lots of folks (out of towners) who are just out strolling while they are staying in downtown Louisville. So there is that sect of the population, there are folks who follow the band at the venue, folks who have come to have dinner in one of the resturants or catch a drink with a friend and there are homeless as it is an outdoor venue without a charge to enter and in the middle of downtown. It is actully a section of 4th street that is blocked off to traffic with the stage set up in the middle of the street. Great thing about it is it is covered space so rain is not a concern but it can be really hot or cold depending on the time of year. You can get a drink or food from any of the surrounding resturants and bring it outside to the music area and as well as purchase a drink from one of the vendors in the outdoor area. There is a parking garage, entrance on 5th street with elevators that take you directly to the venue or there is street parking. It is a fun venue that offers so much, whether you are walking through or coming to hang for the night. There are multiple picnic tables set up in front of the stage, a dance area and a live camera showing the band, the dance area, etc., that can be fun to watch people dance so they can get on camera. We actully took our bag chairs and put them in an area where we could see all that was going on during the evening. It has changed over the years but really a unique spot to hear some music, have a drink, watch people and or have a bite to eat. Give it a try.

If you are looking for a fun place to come and enjoy the downtown area, visit some restaurants or see some entertainment, this is the place. It is especially active in the evening. It does not matter if you are a visitor or a local there is something here for everyone. Fourth Street Live is Louisville's premier dining and entertainment destination and is located right in the heart of downtown Louisville. There are a number of good quality restaurants like Brazeiros Steakhouse and my favorite, Guy Fieri's Smokehouse. A really fun thing to do is the Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse. It is a fun experience where you can see a small distillery in operation and even bottle you own. There are dozens of festivals throughout the year, fitness classes, concerts, and assorted premier events. A very nice experience.

Ask the Community - Fourth Street Live!

Is this place a fun place to go in February or is it just live in the summer months? My husbands birthday is in 2 weeks and we are going here to celebrate (a surprise road trip). Will it be lame or will it be live? We are going on a Saturday night.

The meal started with a choice of cream of broccoli or a seasonal salad. The three of us all chose the salad. The champagne vinaigrette was light, the proportion of pears was perfect, and the goat cheese was just enough flavor to shake it up. The main course my mother and I both chose was the chimichurri skirt steak. I was so excited, that my image was after I had already begun (I promise the presentation was beautiful). I can't speak for my father, excluding the fact that he ate his mahi mahi tacos before I could even get a picture. He certainly was happy. My skirt steak was perfect -- it was rare how I like it but warm, crisp, and wholly flavorful. The portion was perfect for a three course without stuffing me beyond comprehension. It was the perfect choice, and the kitchen perfected the skirt steak. The dessert was delicious. It was a thin slice of turtle cheesecake on a bed of chocolate fudge sauce. The dessert was the perfect end to the meal, leaving me feeling full. The cheesecake was subtle, and worth every bite. The cocktails -- albeit arguably expensive -- were all delicious and came timely. The staff were all incredibly kind (per usual) and genuinely enjoy working. If you were given a choice between any country clubs in Louisville, there is no choice. Louisville Boat Club is always the right choice.

New word I have learn is "gaslighting". I have lost my sister and 4 aunts to cancer and I have had stage 4 cancer with surgeries, radiation and chemo, so a few years ago I started to go to Gilda's Grinstead Louisville Kentucky. I really enjoyed it. When I heard about Gilda's West Louisville Kentucky I decided to check it out. The lady that runs the place Sylvia asked a group of ladies if we would be willing to teach a class. I told Sylvia yes I can teach an art class but I told her I would not be able to move tables and chairs because of my cancer and surgeries, radiation and chemo treatments has left me weak on the right side. She said there was no problem but after I did a few classes I showed up with my mother and Sylvia started yelling and she was moving her face back and forward getting closer to my face, because I was not able to move the tables and chairs. I asked her if she wanted me to quit she said yes so I told her okay. I'll do today's class and then I will not do anymore classes after that. I reached out to Leah and told her all about what happened. Then my husband contacted Karen who is the CEO of Gilda's Kentuckiana and she apologize and said said she was going to take care of everything. I stayed away from Gilda's West for a long time but when I started to go back to Gilda's West, I notice Sylvia would look at me with a scowl. The last time I went to Gilda's west I brought my mother to a day of ladies care and Sylvia was abrupt with me but I overlooked that. My mother who has high blood pressure and her blood pressure was real high so I took her to where she can get her hands massaged and I tried to get her into a class for mindfulness but Sylvia motioned for me to back up and told me no it's not time to sign up yet but she would come and get me, which she did not do. So, before the next class started, I took my mother into the room so she could sit down and relax. The class was great, it relaxed my mother so much that she fell asleep but later on my mother and I was walking my mother smelled coffee and she said she wanted some coffee so I went to go make my mother and I a cup of coffee. But they only had one coffee lid so I was looking around for another coffee lid and a volunteer named Joyce started to yell across the room at me and ask me what are you doing over there and I told her I was looking for a coffee lid and she yelled across the room you are not aloud to look in the cabinet and she continued to yell at me as she walked across the room yelling the same thing on and on, you are not allowed to look in the cabinet, and when she got close to me I backed up and walked away and tried to get out of there as quickly as I could. But she came after me and my mother and started yelling at my mother. I asked her to please stop and she followed me as I walked over to my mom and told my mom I was not allowed in the cabinet. I asked her to stop but she wouldn't so I just put my arm around my mom and just ushered my mom out of that place. So I left a message for Leah the program manager, explaining what happened. My husband wrote a bad review and then Karen CEO of Gilda's Kentuckiana called me. She went off on me and accused me of writing the bad review and when I told her I don't know anything about a review she continue to go off on me and she called me in for a meeting. She had a piece of paper that she wanted me to sign. It stated that I did things that I did not do and she told me if I didn't sign it I would never be able to come back to Gilda's, so I decided not to sign it so I no longer go to Gilda's Kentuckiana.

It's been a solid option for event planning. Wildwood feels like a destination, meaning it's not near a key area with restaurants, shopping or other attractions. The good news is there's plenty of parking once you arrive. It's been updated through the years, making it a nice spot for more semi- to formal events. Saying that, it's fairly neutral and conservative rather than young and modern. How you decorate the space will make a difference to the vibe guests feel when entering the space. For several of my events, a buffet was served and often in an attached room. The food is fairly average. I'd rate the bar as average as well.
