As other reviewers have said, it's a small shop packed to the gills with beads and related items. Much of the stock is indeed behind glass so you have to ask for assistance. That makes the store less fun for the casual browser or if you want to handle things before buying. However, I think all the glass cases are understandable as much of their stock is vintage and/or valuable. The one staff person there was able to help me find what I wanted, even showing me a couple of different options. I bought a number of beads and went away happy.

When I first walked in with my family in tow after spending some time at the local farmers market, I felt a bit intimidated and expected the people working there to be snobby or ignore me, but this was not the case at all. I went to the back room where they had some pricey jewelry in locked cases, and there were some other shoppers in there was well; an employee (or possible co-owner?) let the customers know she could open the cases should anyone want to take a closer look. I was offered a small cup of hot chai tea while I shopped that was so incredibly delicious, I had to buy a box to take home with me. My family sat on some of the plush chairs while I walked around and took some photos. At the front counter there was a bowl of one-word affirmation cards, and I asked the gentleman who worked there, who ended up being the owner, how this works. He said to take three cards out of the bowl to set my intention and then return them to the bowl so others could share in this delightful practice. The man was beautiful inside and out, and I think the woman who was there (also beautiful) may have been the co-owner. The man offered my 10-year-old son to select three cards, and the woman offered my son a cup of cold water to drink. She also complimented my outfit. They were so gracious and kind! I noticed another customer choosing furniture and other furnishings for her home and I asked her a few questions and we chatted for a moment. How lucky is she to be able to shop this store to decorate her second home! I am considering calling the store to see if that crystal I had my eye on is still available to purchase and ship. I felt that even though these were gorgeous, high-end pieces, they were not overpriced. If you are looking to add some spirituality and beauty to your home, go to this store. You will be treated with respect and come away with something special.
