Not the best service, would not recommend this hair salon to anyone. Very pricey and prefer to do clients hair the way they think is best and I have rarely gotten the results I requested. I tried 5 different stylists, including the owner and since they are all trained the same way they do the same work. I give one star because the owner closed the Denver location and gave very little notice. She knew she was closing for a long time and announced it to her staff and clients 3-4 weeks beforehand. Amazing!! This is the second time I've gone to this salon and had Shaelyn as my stylist. When I say this is the BEST cut and color I've ever received, I mean it! Shaelyn was very thorough in our consultation both times and was receptive to questions! I received the cut and color I've always wanted but couldn't get anywhere else! I LOVE Salon Foushee, I have been going there for years and have had a great experience every time. Shout out to Kara T, I accidentally ended up booking an appointment with her years ago and never left because shes the best! Shes friendly, is genuinely interested in her clients, and somehow always seems to remember little details that I tell her even though I go in maybe 3-4 times a year. Sadly will be moving on to a new stylist because I am moving to another state, but will most likely plan my visits home around haircut appointments so she can keep cutting my hair! I haven't used any other services in the salon (spa, nails, etc.) but I have looked into it and their prices seem reasonable. If the head/neck massage you get during the shampoo when you get a haircut is a sign, their massages must be amazing! Everyone on the staff has always been extremely friendly to me, but I have noticed a trend with the front desk staff ignoring clients who walk in because they are in their own non work related conversations with one another. I have run into a few awkward situations where I am done with my haircut and go to pay and am ignored by everyone up there. A family favorite. My kids LOVE getting their haircut here, they love the hair washing room. It is relaxing, quiet and you receive an amazing scalp massage while they was your hair. Honestly, I would love to go once a week just to have them wash and blow out my hair lol. I've thought about it! Really poor customer service. Saw the same level 5 hair stylist several times, and was not happy with the last two times. The last time was the grossest attempt at balayage ever. I showed a picture and was told we could achieve something similar but I left with a few brassy strips around my face. I reached out to customer service weeks later and was told they were not willing to fix the cut or color since it was outside of their 1 week policy, however my hair dresser told me to wash my hair a few times to see how I liked the color since it would change. This is the BEST salon in the entire city! It's truly a little escape from the moment you walk in. Super clean and modern, they welcome you with tea, coffee, water, sometimes I've been super lucky and gotten little cookies or treats, but then of course they ALWAYS pamper and listen and prettify you til you're smiling ear to ear and looking drop dead gorgeous. They really bring out the best in ya. I have been going here for over 10 years and have seen many stylists over the years here (JulieAnne is my go-to girl primarily, but when I can't get in with her I've seen Kim, Sara G, and Crystal to name a few), and seriously they are all so talented and professional. I'm telling you, while I lived in San Francisco, I'd strategically schedule hair appts here while I was visiting my family back here in Denver, just because I couldn't bare the thought of cheating on Salon Foushee. I have also watched Salon Foushee outgrow 2 spaces - and in fact, they actually just opened a second GORGEOUS location downtown! And the best part? In spite of all their amazing growth (which is in and of itself a testament to how PHENOMENAL this place is), the stylists and staff all remain so committed to arguably the best customer service out there - honestly though, use your brain, that's why they've grown like this! After 15 minutes of waiting, the stylist I requested told me she was running behind and her assistant would wash my hair. The assistant not only did that, but did all of the drying and styling. The actual stylist only did the cutting (which took about 8 minutes). I was her last priority; She even asked the assistant if her next appointment was a repeat client or not as she was stuck in the waiting room too. The "assistant" isn't even listed as a stylist on the website. She left huge chunks of hair over my entire face as she dried it. She'd just yank through any tangles with the round brush. My head was getting pulled all around and she just kept yanking without acknowledging it. At the end the actual stylist walked me up front to check me out. This is a really tacky way to do things-- you're pressured to leave a good tip when the stylist is the one checking you out. I politely asked if I was still going to be charged the full price for her styling even though the 'assistant' did 80% of the work. She snapped and said she paid the assistant herself and charged me the full amount and gave a nice smile when I walked out. I wouldn't have paid more than $10 for the haircut and customer 'treatment' and yet here I am down $60. Horrible. read more

I am a huge fan of my stylist, Krystal Ford. I've lived in Colorado for almost 6 years, but I always found myself waiting to get my hair done when I visited my parents back home. Instagram randomly suggest that I started following Krystal, and while I am not normally too keen on how much information Instagram seems to know about me, I am SO glad that it told me about Krystal. I had a co-worker who I classify as super high maintenance about her looks recommended Salon Foushee and Michelle F. specifically. I made an appointment, took the plunge and got my hair cut. Michelle was super friendly and cute, made me feel really at ease. I happened upon Salon Fouchee, as I needed a new stylist/colorist asap. They have a very easy online booking system, which is preferable as during the day I have zero time for myself. I had an apt with Emily, and she was amazing! Very nice, easy to talk to and I LOVE my hair. She was able to fix a color error from a previous stylist at a different salon, put in beautiful highlights and gave me a very cute cut! I've received so many compliments on my hair and will be back in 5 weeks for a touchup. I've found a great new place and I highly recommend Emily. She listens to what you want and nails it. Some of their receptionists are a bit on the snooty side, but all the stylists, nail techs, and spa girls (and guys) are all fantastic. They all care about your experience and what you want. Even if you go to a lower level stylist, they all do a great job and are confident enough to do what you want, not just what they know. For a pedicure, go to Chris. She is so sweet and does a perfect job on everything from the toes to your massage. These are the greatest pedis you will ever get! I've seen Stephanie a few times, the first after calling to ask for someone who knew how to cut curly hair (because you can eff it up royally if you don't). Stephanie has always been very friendly and I have never been dissatisfied with my cut. Every cut at Salon Foushee is accompanied by a transcendental trip to the Wash House. Thorough shampoo, condition, and scalp massage in a dim serene room with soft spa music playing. Aah, Paul Mitchell, take me away... The most recent time I was in I received a cut and event style. Stephanie had to cut off several inches of damaged ends (thanks in part to blow drying every day, and in larger part to me prolonging the cut for far too long) and it felt like she gave me new, fantastic hair. Then for the event style. It took two people, 80 bobby pins, and a lot of talent but I left looking red carpet ready. Stephanie asked exactly what I wanted and executed absolutely flawlessly. I received compliments all night on how amazing my hair looked and I felt like a celebrity. Worst haircut and customer service I have experienced in a beauty salon. Cut off 7 inches of my hair when I only wanted a trim. Left side is an inch shorter than the right side. After I left a review on google the salon director Gretchen replied to it that they only cut off 2 inches max. Then I had a nail appt at 10am and get a call at 9:30 the nail girl was running late and would be there at 11 when I was already next door. So I made an appt with the owner of the salon, Kara F, because she had hair similar to mine and I thought if anyone could do it right then she could. Wow was I right!! My hair is absolutely gorgeous!!! She knew right where to take off in the heavy areas without me even saying it, she seems to know my hair better than I did plus she was a joy to talk to (and I'm not usually a big talker). I've finally found my salon! The place has a professional but relaxing atmosphere, and every client I saw left there with beautiful hair. I loved my highlights and cut, which I got with an element two stylist. She did an awesome job for a very reasonable price (they charge based on a tiered system related to the "level" of your stylist.) It is clear that every stylist there is highly trained and talented. I have had my hair cut here for 5 years and have seen many different stylists and have NEVER been disappointed (I am currently seeing Julianne who is amazing). The atmosphere is so clean, crisp, and professional. The workers here are very sweet and you can tell that they are held to a high standard. I have long hair (down to my lower back) and I am always impressed that the stylists *listen* to what I want. They also, however, are ready to provide professional opinions on what cut/color they think will look best based on my face shape, skin tone, etc. I always leave here feeling refreshed and pampered & the prices are competitive and reasonable. First of all, I have to say that I will continue to come here for my hairstylist even though I am moving to a location quite a bit farther away. I have been a customer here for about a year. Sara G is fabulous. She consistently does beautiful things with my hair and is so welcoming and fun to chat with! I always look forward to my appointments with her and am never disappointed. The customer service is great, and they offer a wide variety of services. The pedicures are to die for because you get an eye mask and a pillow chair that is simply heavenly! My only complaint about the spa area (pedicures, massages) is the small space and thin walls. It's not quite as relaxing with all the thumping and talking going on around you! The other reason for the 4 stars (instead of 5) is that I had a nightmare experience with an expensive application of eyelash extensions there, but I was promptly given a full refund and the owner was gracious and very apologetic. I came in for a haircut right before the holiday. Gretchen Friese, a level 4 was my stylist. I went for a dramatic change cutting off about 12 inches. I feel like it was a really quick cut for such a dramatic change. She starts blow drying my hair and says she has some time to style it so she starts curling it. (Never once did she show me my hair after it was dry.) After she was done styling it she gives me a mirror to look at it. It was so curly I didn't notice all the chops and unevenness until the next day I washed it and looked in the mirror. I'm terrified and disgusting at the same time knowing she let me leave like that trying to cover it up with curls, right before the holidays. Not to mention everyone at Christmas was talking about how bad my haircut was. Embarrassing to say the least. I call and email the owner. Showing her pictures. The owner states that I should come in 3:30 tomorrow and she will personally fix my hair. I'm about to email the owner back and I have a missed called from the salon. I listen to the vm and I'm baffled by the message. It's Gretchen, she starts off my saying she looked at the photos and it looks like to her that when I got home I must have cut my hair MYSELF! Are you kidding me????!!!!!! Not I'm sorry I know I was rushed that day... I knew I messed up that's why I didn't show you until after it was curled... no she BLAMED ME! Are you joking?! Wow! She goes on to say that maybe it wasn't short enough and maybe my friend cut my hair... NO! MAYBE YOU MESSED UP MY HAIR AND COVERED IT WITH CURLS. I love this salon! The atmosphere is great. They have different levels of stylists, although in my experience they are all good!! Nancy is the best! She's honest about what to expect (corrective color) and always comes through. I wouldn't trust anyone else to cut or color my hair! My favorite part is always having my hair shampooed because they do a massage that is to die for! I do wish they had someone there who could do my eyelash extensions! Only giving one star because zero is not an option. I went online on December 22nd and made an appointment for this afternoon (New Years Eve) to have my hair done. I got an email confirmation then, a text confirmation on Sunday and another email confirmation after that. I showed up at 4pm today and was told my appointment had been canceled. I replied that I didn't cancel it and I needed to have my hair done. No attempt was made to help me at all. I asked to speak to a manager and there was none available. Not even an apology. Sarah Simon (Whiting) is the best hair stylist I have gone to! Every time I get my hair done by her, it feels amazing and healthy. I went to another hair stylist for a while because of the location but I had to switch back to Sarah because the quality wasn't the same. My hair is thin and can get frizzy or look damaged if I do too much to it or use bleach. Sarah did a beautiful balayage on my hair and it did not get frizzy or look damaged, even though she had to bleach it to lighten the color. It looked great and I received a lot of compliments. She never pressures me into something I don't feel comfortable with and I love that! Not only is Sarah very professional and talented but she is also a dear friend and I absolutely adore her.
