I ordered from "famous French toast" on postmates which has the same address as Fowler Street Grill. I ordered Nutella STUFFED French Toast topped with Strawberries. I paid, 18.99 plus tax and delivery for this and it was awful. It is NOT stuffed but just Nutella thrown on top... if it was even Nutella. It didn't taste like it to me. So annoyed. Tiny little dinner with a large menu! There are 12 tables, mostly for 4, but they will move them together for larger groups. There are no secrets here- you can see the grill, the cook, the condiments and coffee cups are on a shelf easy for the servers to grab. The customers are a great ethnic mix, making everyone feel welcome. I gave it five stars because it met and exceeded our expectations for a small locally owned diner. It's not fancy but it's clean, the servers are friendly, they work hard ( don't stand around and chat) and most of all the food was great and the prices very reasonable.The hash was crispy on the outside and soft and hot inside, the eggs perfectly cooked ( over easy) and crispy potatoes. Way more than a girl can eat!! They are only open for breakfast and lunch, currently closing at 2:00. Stop by sometime and give it a try. read more

I'm a fort myers native that has been going and ordering from fowler street for a very long time. But in the past few months they have gone down hill with customer service. I just put in an order for door dash and they gave my food to the wrong dasher and refused to resolve the issue. I called and the first time got hung up on and the second time was told there was absolutely nothing they could do about it and I asked to speak with a manager and was told no and to call them back at 2. THEY CLOSE AT 2! So if I would've just done that I would've been out of my money and food! I will never order from here again and will make sure to tell family and friends how they handled this situation! Thank god door dash gave me a full refund! First, my job ordered from them and i ordered the fish caesar wrap. Instead i got FRENCH TOAST. Why would i want french toast with pasta salad for LUNCH. SECOND, when i was eating the pasta salad that came with it, it just did not taste right and i wasn't sure what it was. I brought it home to have my mom and sister try it and we all nearly threw up. The pasta salad was bad as in it was either SITTING FOR A LONG TIME OR AN INGREDIENT WAS EXPIRED THAT THEY PUT IN THE PASTA SALAD. Mind you i am pregnant. Fowler Street Grill is a small, but really good diner. Biscuits with gravy, corned beef hash, eggs, and potatoes were all amazing. The pancakes looked about as big as my head, and my co-worker inhaled them, only stopping to mumble something about how delicious it was. Everything was served in quite large portions, so be sure to show up hungry! An attentive wait staff rounded out the experience, which guarantees return visits. I love this placeeeeeee! BEST spot ever, from the home made breakfast to the crispiest catch of the day. I'd recommend, the staff is pleasant and very welcoming. Yelp lead me to this local spot during a recent weekend in Fort Myers. To be honest, this isn't some place that I would've normally stopped, but I trusted that Yelp wouldn't lead me astray! Other Yelpers are correct; this is not the most aesthetically pleasing restaurant in Fort Myers. Don't be fooled by the appearance, as this is your typical greasy-spoon diner full of locals and regulars. The staff was insanely friendly and welcoming! They even accommodated my friend's special request on how to prepare her omelette! The breakfast potatoes here are very good. They're clearly cut fresh and flash fried. My wife had the Two Egg meal with a slice of ham; the ham was so large and thick, she had to bring some of it home. The place is crowded and very small. The food was okay and the service was lack - luster. The sausage gravy was a HUGE disappointment!! It's packaged white gravy mix and when I asked the server, "Is this Sausage Gravy?", she took it and put it back through the window to the kitchen. The cook then put a piece of cut up sausage patty on top of it! I was told "that's how they make it"! While standing at the counter to pay it was observed that the kitchen cooks were cross contaminating foods. I prefer to not ever patronize this place again. read more

You'd be surprised how hard it is to find properly cooked eggs down here, but this place nailed them. Also the biscuits are so fresh I can tell they are made daily. The only downfall was they don't have eggs Benedict which is my fave. The waitress said they didn't have the ingredients to make hollandaise sauce, which is basically egg yolks and butter, but ok. The tables are appropriately covered with a little grease. The staff look like are having a great time. One waitress shared some of her own lunch-buttermilk pie.
