Let us begin with the gravy, because it deserves its own paragraph and perhaps a small thesis. The country sausage gravy achieved that elusive, almost mythical balance: not too thick, not too thin, just right. A Goldilocks scenario, if Goldilocks had abandoned the bears and committed fully to breakfast perfection. The steak itself followed suit. The breading was texturally precise, crisp without aggression, seasoned with intention, and generously portioned. Each bite felt deliberate, not accidental. And then, the hashbrowns. Crisp. Structured. Respectable. I say this with full awareness of the weight of the statement: they rival those of Waffle House which, in certain circles, is not praise given lightly. What struck me most was the absence of complaint. Nothing to critique, nothing to adjust, nothing to excuse. Just a meal executed with clarity and confidence. Under New Mgnt. I had a Sheryl's Smash Burger it came out fresh hot and delicious. Two large patties American Cheese ,pickle Slices, iceberg lettuce, and a flavorful Sauce. The French Fries were seasoned. But could have been a bit more crisp. They had good flavor. I had a skillet meal and it was terrible, the ham in it was. Just luncheon meat and it was not chopped up. Come on now ... how hard is it to take a chef knife and chop it up. It was hard to chop up after everything had been thrown together. I did not care for what they called home fries which were home chunks instead of sliced potatoes and the whole thing was soupy. Had to ask for water and did not get a friendly response to that. Did not eat more than a couple of bites. Pancake was paper thin and almost like crepe. Would never go back. Decided a nice breakfast on Easter morning would be just the ticket, so it was time to try Oasis which is just down the street from my apartment. A hometown diner feel with a huge welcome and smile. I ordered the Pancakes (add blueberries), eggs, and sausage patties as suggested by Joy, an amazingly friendly server who treats everyone with kindness and of course joy! My husband and I stopped in here for a quick lunch. This place has that classic hometown diner feel. It felt like stepping into a place where everyone knows your name - even if it's your first time here. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and friendly service. The entire staff was welcoming and down-to-earth. We noticed that several locals dine here and the staff greeted them by name and were generally happy to see them. Several people, including our server, came by to see if we needed anything. The menu is extensive and offers something for everyone. I decided on the house made chicken salad wrap and my husband ordered the house made tuna wrap both came with chips. Our wraps were generously filled and were tasty. Even though it was the lunch rush and these were cold sandwiches we didn't have to wait long for our food. Parking was a breeze - lots of free spots right by the restaurant. I visited Oasis Restaurant on a recent trip to Ft Myers. A group of four of us were looking for a breakfast/lunch spot on a Sunday around noon and we we're hungry! Oasis has lots of tables likely using moved quickly but the place was packed. We were seated in less than 20 minutes which was shocking because there were so many people waiting outside. We got our drinks quickly and then ordered all with 5 minutes of being seated but then we waiting what felt like forever for our food but was likely a good 30 minutes. We were all getting anxious and hangry. The food finally arrived though and it was pretty good for a diner style breakfast. We had three omelet orders and one eggs Benedict at our table. The portions were big, like two meals in one through my husband cleaned his plate and then ate some of my food. The service is old school diner style. Very friendly and everyone knew what they were doing. No newbies to the service industry here! read more

This is a great local diner serving up breakfast staples, like waffles and Eggs Benedict (which I had and it was yummy ). My girlfriend had the Oasis Skillet, which is full of veggies and full of flavor! I don't know what they do to make it so tasty, but whatever their secret, it's one of the best diners I've been to! Service was delivered with a smile. And our food was served quickly. Inside, this diner has an 80's country kitchen feel. It's cozy and feels a little like Grandma's house. Having only had some grapes earlier in the morning, I was still craving breakfast come lunchtime. Oasis Restaurant was not far from the Airbnb I was spending the night, seeing through my Yelp search that they had a breakfast sandwich (bacon, egg, and cheese) on a croissant. I am not sure why I picked up the menu when I took a seat at the bar, as I had already made up my mind that I would order the Croissant Sandwich with bacon for the sake of human purity and understanding. The service was friendly and prompt as I enjoyed my breakfast sandwich. The Croissant Sandwich satisfied my palate between the melted American cheese, the salty and savoriness of the bacon, and eggs on the croissant. I washed the sandwich down with a hefty serving of iced coffee that brought me to a place of awareness and clarity -- firmly ready for the rest of the day. I would return to try more of Oasis' breakfast fare when I return to Fort Myers again. read more

This place is pretty good. The menu is massive which is awesome since variety is the spice of life. They have a very unique pancake that's thin and crispy and is to die for. Whether you like pancakes or not you have to try one if you go here. The staff is very friendly, polite, and full of smiles. You really get a family oriented down home atmosphere in this restaurant. I have been going to Oasis for about 5 years now, their food is good, service great, Yet today, I was shocked when I ordered a bacon and egg and some avocado on a croissant, when this bill came, i was in shock, $20.26, personally I'm turned off, if that's not a rip off of I don't know what is. 1egg,2 slices of cheese which I removed because I don't like cheese, 2 strips of bacon 4 fairly thin pieces of avocado and a croissant, Its probably a profit of at least$15.. maybe a bit extreme? We were visiting from out of town and we're looking for just a local, down home place and boy did we find it! We grabbed a table when we got in and ordered a round of drinks; black coffee, mimosas, soda and water. My wife got a massive and delicious veggie omelet, and I got the Courtney Melt-grilled chicken sandwich with grilled onions and BBQ sauce (hold the mushrooms) and fries. The sandwich was very good-plump chicken and tasty sauce and onions. The fries were good. This is a real diner with good food and all the ambiance not the slop we were served at Farmers Market Restaurant. Portions are huge....Meal was good if not for the woman next to us allowing her kids to scream incessantly and acting like it was all cute. Its your typical old American breakfast place so don't go in with high expectations, their Greek omelet tasted like it was made from the beaten eggs that comes in a carton (its probably what it was) it didn't have the slightest pinch of salt or flavor, it tasted bland. The hashbrowns were slightly crispy on the outside and mostly smashed. They have a lot of room for improvement not only their food but also the restaurant itself could use a few touch ups, the chairs and table outside are all rusty and dirty the table corners were chipped so it pinched our arms a couple times. Also, we weren't finished eating and they brought the check without asking. Bottom line, I don't think we'll go again. read more

Staying down the street and rode the bus up here to eat! I decided to try the eggs Bene. It was ok.. I have had better. But I was hungry so I ate it. Bf had Greek salad with added clam strips. That was really good. The dressing was delish. He had to ask for another small one. I snuck a clam strip so then I had to have some clams. What an idea to put clam strips as a side on salad for $2! I didn't want any fries. Ok now we r ready to walk it off! We came back the second time in town. Just had to try the broasted chicken!! Sat in a booth and they are comfy. I had coleslaw and onion straws for my 2 sides. $1 more for onion straws... don't care. Omg everything was to die for. The breast I gave to my huney. I went with family to breakfast in Fort Myers at Oasis Restaurant. My boyfriend said his pancakes were amazing. My food was ok, I ordered the McOasis with a side of Grits. My uncle ordered the Hangover Omelette and said he really liked it. Overall, the service was average. It seemed as though our waitress was in a bad mood or really hungover but she seemed to do well with getting our orders right. I liked their tables and how they had the ads under the glass on the tables so you could look at them while you were eating. I hate leaving bad reviews but this one is warranted. I've been there 2 times and waited to my party to arrived yesterday sat. I asked to go to the bathroom before my party arrived and because I have brain cancer the chem gives my gastric issues. While I was in the bathroom I was told I can't be there I needed to leave. Because I was actively in process the manager came in and said I needed to leave disabled people needed the stall. Only to again be kicked out because I looked like someone? I left in tears because I was treated like a transient. No one needs to be treated like this. Even after apologies it does not make it ok. The entire restaurant heard all of this. 1st time eating at the Oasis. Came here for breakfast got the biscuits and gravy scrambled eggs and the home fries on the side. Not too bad the eggs were perfect the home fries were hot the biscuits and gravy were cool could have been a lot warmer and the gravy lacked flavor. Suggestion add a little garlic and/or onion powder in the gravy will make a world of difference. Also having the gravy and biscuits hot would have given Oasis 5 stars versus 4. There are beautiful, pink Hawaiian lei flowers (plants) just outside the entrance...nice greeting. Kim, our server, and a couple of delivery ladies helped us to find our next destination on their 'Smart Phones'. We are not familiar with the area so their kindness was appreciated. Tom had a chicken wrap and fries. The chicken was tender, tasty and abundant. I had Wisconsin cheddar cheese soup and a crisp, fresh salad. Oasis Restaurant is a stable breakfast and lunch café or downtown diner-style restaurant. Ample parking is available on both side of building. There is outside seating area but you must go inside and tell them you want to sit outside. The place is clean and efficient. However, you will notice right away, there is a bottle of hand sanitizer beside the salt, pepper shaker and ketchup. I had several breakfasts here before reporting to Jury Duty. Today, we came in for lunch. My friend has his eggs over easy with bacons and hash brown. I have a French dip, roast beef with Provolone in a hoagie roll Au Jus and a side order of coleslaw. My friend loves his late breakfast and my French dip was perfect. As I dipped my hoagie sandwich in the beef onion broth, it was piping hot! The coleslaws are finely chopped and fresh! Not too sweet or salty. If you sit near the front or near the cashier, be aware that you will hear the phone a lot. It seems they have many to go orders. Deceiving, pleasantly surprised. Got there the line was long; however we got seated in twelve minutes. Impressive considering the wait. This restaurant has the hosting down to a science. Friendly staff. A lot of locals eating there. My waffle looks like any other waffle. Do not let it fool you, it was super tasty. I asked for the waffle combo no meat. The waitress offered an extra egg to replace the meat. Loved it. Coffee carafe left at the table what else can you ask for at breakfast time. My husband had the hangover omelet. This is a good place with diner like menu, super friendly staff, and good food. The Oasis has grown over the years and well deservedly. The place is very clean too. Including the restrooms. I had one of the salad choices with grilled chicken, prepared the way I asked with a Greek dressing on the side. AWESOME! My Wife had the 1/2 sandwich soup combo and it was also very good. Italian wedding soup prepared as you know it all too well!! Haven't been here for breakfast in a bit but have always enjoyed breakfast at the Oasis. We will be back for a snap at breakfast!
