Omelette Western home fries and SIDE of TOAST
Kimberly H.

My hubby and I have been here a few times and we just love this place. This mom and pop place is very much a locals favorite. Anything you want from s brunch place. Delicious quality food at a reasonable price. The omelettes, and French toast are huge and filling and oh so yummy. Their breakfast burrito is so excellent and filling. The staff are very welcoming and it is a really nice place to just enjoy the experience. This is quickly becoming my weekly stop!

Stopped here for brunch. We met some family that were also in fort Myers Beach. You order at the counter and they bring it out. It is a breakfast and lunch place. Coffee and soda are all self serve. We got the French toast and bacon and sausage. We had a nice time visiting with family.

We met my brother and his wife here for bunch. It is a small place. You order at the counter and they bring the food out. It is self serve coffee and soda. We had french toast with sausage and bacon. Was good. We had a nice time visiting after we ate.

Speckled egg was the first place we stopped at on vacation. It's a little different in that you order at the counter and then they bring the food out like a Steak N Shake. Only, not with those kind of prices. The kiddo had pancakes, hubby and I had a dish with eggs, meats, toast, and potatoes. Don't get me wrong, the food is really good. Fresh, hot, delicious but the check was pricey! 100% would go again though.

Our first visit here! Surprised it was an order at the counter quick service, smart business model! Super kind staff and patient as we looked over the menu. I went with the biscuits and gravy w/ 2 eggs and fruit cup. Served hot, biscuits were tasty, gravy basic and fruit cup was small but fresh. My husband had the Western Scramble in a wrap with home fries, potatoes were definitely just frozen and heated up. Wrap was tasty but nothing special, sriracha Mayo was delish! For $30 including tip, it was a good breakfast stop! Nothing out of the ordinary.

This is not what we were expecting for a breakfast restaurant. First you get in a line to order then hope you can find a table. We were able to find a table but then it took 45min to bring 3 omelets. Do not go thinking your going to Another broken egg or a First Watch. It's more like a Dunkin Donuts with Omelets. Food was only slightly warm after it arrived. Will not return

Vanilla Coffee - it's SO good!!

The vanilla coffee. The number one reason I go here is for the vanilla coffee. It is SO good. They also have two vegan choices!!!! Yay. The tomato wasn't that great on my toast but still like the place. My husband loves to get sausage and egg on a veggie cream cheese bagel.

First time in, worth 4 stars for cleanliness, friendly staff, and ease of decisions (plus the ability to swap a bread), but that doesn't make this "I'm a fan!" worthy. If 4 stars had a different label, I'm sure I'd rate this high. I'm comfortable saying my experience was great, but with the lack of half stars and the label system being worded differently, I'm sorry to rate this a 3. I came in about 12:15 or so, thinking I was going to have a late breakfast but not a full lunch meal. No customers around... I missed the rush, as I am told breakfast (pre 10am) is a zoo. Other friends have visited here and raved about the place; all the more reason I'd like to uprate the Speckled Egg without the label of fandom. That and it being my first time in, I'm sure future visits will change my mind for the star. Driver beware: if you're not paying attention to where the driveway is for this place, you'll miss it. We were looking for "the blue building" and ended up over shooting the entrance, having to turn around in the next plaza. It's literally the driveway after the 7-11 if you're coming from the A & W / Cypress Lake area of McGregor (which I was... I was previously shopping at Big Lots). So quick to pass it (Pawnbroker and Stillwater plaza kind of share the same entrance), that when I left, I thought we could cut through Pawnbroker's part of the lot to get to the Cypress Lake light. No; dead end, turn back around. Food options were plenty to choose from, and I was really hovering on something breakfast like, but ended up with the Asian Miso Chicken Wrap, using a spinach wrap as the outer bread. Choice of side was a little fruit cup (how cute). The person I went with, had the Greek Turkey Delight and asked if it could be on an everything bagel instead of a wrap. Choice of side was potato salad. The Asian Miso Chicken wrap was definitely interesting. With pineapple chunks, crunchy noodles, decent sized pieces of fresh chicken, this wrap was a little messier than expected as the dressing was running everywhere. There was some sort of pepperjack cheese melted in it as well, so the sandwich had a slight kick. Not enough to be bad, but enough to say "I'm here". The Greek Turkey Delight was a surprise as the person eating it said it's deli turkey; they were expecting turkey turkey. Outside of that, the sandwich was good. Nice layer of hummus mixed with all the greens you expect in a Greek salad. This too, ended up being a little messy, but the plate finished. With a coffee and a fountain drink, 45 minutes later, we were out the door. I can say that I had a good meal and can see the hype, but would have to come back to try something else before I commit to say "I'm a fan".

My dining partner and I found a spot near the door and were quickly seated upon our entry. The decor was nice and seating was plentiful. Our waitress was really busy but made sure we knew she had best intentions of getting to us as soon as possible. While waiting, we looked over their extensive menu. Everything sounded good. I enjoyed my coffee and refills of my cup while waiting for breakfast in the nearly full (always a good sign) restaurant. Service was very good. I ordered a salmon, spinach and onion omelet with rye toast and tomato slices. Everything was served at the right temperature and tasted great. My dining partner enjoyed their French toast, scrambled eggs and bacon. We thought the price was appropriate for the quality and amount of food we received. Also good, their hot sauce! Bought a bottle to bring home. If I'm back in the area, I will definitely stop here again for breakfast.

Otherwise everyone had very enjoyable food offerings. SERVICE: We were seated at 11:05 for brunch and it was apparent that our waitress was overwhelmed or had too many tables. Unfortunately First Watch continues to serve excellent coffee but milk is presented in miniature "milk jugs" from a bygone era, each holding less milk than a thimble. We were given 3 thimbles for four guests. We asked at once for more "thimbles" knowing we are coffee devotees and were eager for more. Minutes later a bus from Shell Pointe (we think) dropped off 15 (!) elderly folks setting up on about 4 tables, and we were astonished to see our harried waitress take that collection to waitress that group. Two other waitresses divided up so we had more than one server. Truthfully it was 11:50 before more thimbles of milk arrived. Dreadful. Awful. AMBIANCE: Average to above average. Not terribly loud, thankfully. SUMMARY: We have enjoyed First Watch ever since they opened their 4 places in the county. This was such a problem experience that we may just try different locations since the overall food and charges are well within normal limits. This may have been a day when one or more staff failed to come to work making our experience with waitresses to be so problematic.

It happened way too many times and almost made us give up. But wow, the new ownership has completely turned things around! The service is now warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and delicious (everything tastes like it's made with care). And the restaurant itself? Spotless--clean tables, floors, restrooms, everything feels welcoming and well-maintained. We're so happy we gave it another shot. This has quickly become one of our absolute favorite go-to spots in the area. Highly recommend--especially now under the new owners! You won't be disappointed.

What better place to get my craving than a French bakery, right? Ambiance was as expected. There was also an entrance that lead out to a patio with table and chairs if fresh air was your preference. Many of baked goods to choose from as you can see from the pictures. As for my chocolate croissant, a bit disappointing. Dry and barely any chocolate. I'd asked to have it warmed and it just flaked. All so very surprising coming from especially a FRENCH bakery. Which... leads me to surmise the others may be dry as well? I gave it 3 stars as the cappuccino was tasty and ambiance was enjoyable. I may or may not try it again. Perhaps it was just the morning batch? But feel free to check it out!
