Another early fasting morning at quest labs and then a few steps to Rosie's for breakfast! So convenient! Tim was our caring server and brought me a heaping cup of hot delicious coffee! I ordered the Monterey Omelet as usual and Dave had the Bacon and Cheddar Cheese. We both opted for grits and English muffins which come already buttered. The Omelet's are just so beautifully presented. Not only are the ingredients combined in the omelets, then beautifully folded with lots of the same ingredients on top! Just lovely to look at and the taste matches the presentation! Extra butter scooped in a little cup for your grits and mine had sour cream on the side for the omelet. Country fried ribeye was very very good but pre warning don't eat immediately when they bring it out due to it being really hot. I had to learn it the hard way. The combination of the gravy with the country fried paired well together. I had the eggs that even were cooked perfectly to my liking over medium well. We visited this place twice in a week. On Sunday, we arrived around 10:30 AM, even though it was already packed and there was a wait. Despite the crowd, we were seated within six minutes. Both of our servers were friendly but quite busy. They worked collaboratively, passing out food to other tables and clearing empty plates as they walked by. We order the Decaf Coffee John said they will have to make a fresh pot, we said OK no problems as we were getting a fresh pot. Once the coffee got delivered it tasted weak and was not very dark. I drank mine but the wife asked John about it, he said he didn't know why it was so weak. He offered her something else to drink so she got regular Coffee. This time it was much darker and tasted like Coffee. I ordered to meat lover's omelet which came with Home Fries & Toast. My wife ordered the Belgium Waffle covered with Fresh Strawberries. Our ordered came out fast even though they were packed. My Omelet was very good as was the Home Fries and Rye Toast. It filled my plate, and all was hot and tasty. My wife's Belgium Waffle looked good and was covered with fresh Strawberries. She did say it was great and she would order it again. The Breakfast served here is good, plenty of it and hot. We stop by North Fort Myers Merchant Crossing Shopping Plaza to try Rosie's Breakfast Café. Merchants Crossing Shopping Plaza did a significant renovation and improvement after Hurricane Ian in 2022. Rosie's opened about 4 months ago so it is clean and new with a cheerful look. It is located next to AMC movie theater and a Quest Lab with a good selection for breakfast and lunch items at reasonable price and good portion. We sampled the traditional Eggs Benedicts. I called them Twin Towers. Poached eggs over English muffin with Canadian bacon and Hollandaise sauce are well prepared. With a huge portion of Home Fried and onion made this great brunch for me. The Belgium Strawberry waffles is excellent. Nice crispy golden exterior with a little deep pocket to hold the strawberry, syrup and cream. The staff is friendly and attentive. Being new to the area I welcomed driving 30 minutes to find a great breakfast place. Rosie's is this gem like a little hole in the wall in a strip mall. Food... only meh. Bacon tastes like liquid smoke and the Monte Cristo is not a Monte Cristo. No batter, only warmed toast and cheap lunchmeat with cinnamon flavor, dry no mayo and barely any cheese. Almost like the kitchen did not know how to make one... Omelette was adequate but nothing special.
