I bought a new boat that advertised dual live wells and stereo. Neither were true. I looked past…read morethat as one live well works and i can buy a stereo. Still very wrong. The original invoice charged 1400 for Krenzer to do prep work on the boat. There was none. They sent me home with stickers in a bag for registration and a prop that is for a Yamaha motor. It came with a Mercury motor. It needs to be replaced. . The "New trailer was used" The axle was and throwing grease and heating up. I addressed this prior to purchase and Krenzer wiped it with a rag. Ill be doing the bearing job. I priced extra items and was quoted almost $6000. They didn't even have transom straps for travel let alone and anchor and life jackets. The basic stuff that comes with most new boats. The additional costs are new bearings will be 50 plus my time, new prop $200, all the basics added up to $400 if you add in the new stereo. I was able to buy the quoted items for $2000. Beware of this place. I will not return for anything!! A bright not is_ They do send you two of the best brownies you will ever have so if thats your endgame maybe they're for you!!!

Although they weren't my first choice, I decided to use Krenzer Marine in Sodus, NY in June of 2024…read moreto sell my Chaparral boat because I was moving out of state soon. I didn't agree with them when they claimed it needed ~$1500 worth of repairs to enable a sale, but they had me over a barrel, so I agreed to it. They sold the boat, I paid them for the service, and they gave me a check for the sale minus their commission. In total, they made a third of what the boat sold for. I wasn't happy about that, but I was glad the boat was gone because I couldn't take it with me. I moved on and forgot about it. Done deal, or so I thought . . . Now, a year and 2 months later, in August 2025, they send me a cryptic bill via email dated August 2025 with the description "balance forward from total control" which was gibberish to me. By the amount charged I deduced this was for the service they provided in June of 2024 and I replied that I already paid it. Despite my response, they called me two days later to harass me about it. When I told Tim Habecker and the office manager, Lisa Angelo, that I already paid for the work, they claimed that due to a software change, they didn't have a record of it and that I would have to prove I paid it with a credit card statement or a cashed check. They also mentioned they had the same problem with many other customers. The fact that they were so careless in their transition to a new accounting software system that they didn't bother to back up their financial records speaks volumes about their technical expertise and their business practices. On top of that, they didn't use common sense to consider the fact that they would have never given me a check for the proceeds of the sale if I still owed them money. When I explained to them that it was going to be a real pain for me to find a record of this because I went through a move during the last year, and changed banks because they didn't have branches in my new state, they didn't care. They made their problem my problem. Fortunately, after hours of effort, I was able to track down a credit card statement that proved I in fact paid the bill 14 months ago. Bottom line, believe the other negative reviews you see because they are more accurate than the positive ones. If I heard the earth was going to flood and they had the last boat for sale I still wouldn't buy it from them. Given their poor business tactics, I predict they won't be in business for long.

This was a first for me. Never rented a boat before haha. Well, actually, my brother rented it for…read moreall of us. We were all home for a small family reunion. Twas the first time all of us were home together since before Covid. My dad passed a few years ago and we all couldn't be home for it bc it was during Covid. So this was actually the first time all 5 of us kids were home at the same time. It's a trip that had to happen for sure. So getting the boat for an afternoon was super nice and a special day for sure. We got a pontoon boat for the afternoon. My brother and his wife rented it for 6 hours. I can't remember the exact price, I wanna say $450 for the6 hours, but don't quote me on that bc I THINK it may have been a tad more expensive. It's definitely a little pricey, but compared to their competitors, German Brothers definitely had the better price. The so-called "inconvenience" of renting from the vs the other(s) is German Bros is located out on West Lake Rd as the other is located in town...which is why I think they can get away with charging more at that place. The guys at German Bros were fantastic. Super friendly, super helpful...honestly don't have one bad thing to say about them or the business. For my first time experiencing one of these boat rental companies back home, I was definitely satisfied and even from my social media posts from that day and the days after our day on the lake, I referred like 5 people to this place and told them how much better it would be to go with them especially if they were worried about cost. You definitely save using German Brothers and these days, who isn't trying to save money any way they can? One thing to point out, you do have to pay for the gas for the boat and that cost is not included in the rental cost. You pay for the gas at the end of your time on the boat and I wanna say it's like a dollar and change more than what we'd pay at the pump ourselves. Then again, wait, haha, not sure what kind of gas these boats use haha! Just know tho, you pay separate for the gas. I recommended this to 5 different people (as mentioned already) and I'd gladly recommend to 5 more, 10 more, etc. They're a fantastic company and they deserve all the business they can get. Happy boating, yelpersailers!! Cheers!

The staff is very helpful and our boat was beautiful. We had a wonderful time renting the boat.read more
