I loved having a wonderful small pharmacy option so I hope they can get it together and go back to how they used to be. I have a few big problems with AA Pharmacy and they keep being an issue lately, unfortunately. First, they have a major issue with what they leave out spread across their counter. The last three times I was there, there were prescriptions with names of the person and names of the medicine in bags sitting right out on the same counter where you pay. Not only could I see confidential info, including about one person I knew, I also could have just taken some of the bags had I wanted to. It's so odd and they don't seem to care that confidential info is just cascading out on the same countertops where people are checking out. It seems so disorganized and careless now, which is disconcerting when I'm trusting them to manage medications for my family. Second, in the beginning, the pharmacist was always there and he was so friendly and helpful -- now there are several rude and/or inattentive people who will finish eating their sandwich before coming over to help people waiting at the register. If you have a question for a pharmacist, there often is not one there. If I ask when one will be there, they often aren't sure. I assume the prescriptions are still reviewed by a pharmacist (?!), but I have had two recent ones where they gave me the wrong amount, and both times they barely seemed to care. I'm not surprised to see all the good reviews from them are at least a year old. Sadly, the whole feeling there has changed so much and it's a huge disappointment. I've transferred away from them as of this week but I hope they improve!

After my husband got me a gift set of the Rose Amelie skincare, I couldn't wait to check the place out. I bought some fun gifts there as well, and it was my first stop recently when he needed an uncommon prescription from the optometrist. They didn't have the strength we needed in stock, but they ordered it for the following day. Most recently I decided to switch all of our prescriptions over. I was tired of being stuck in a phone tree when I called my big chain store, or being turned away without a resolution when I would go up in person. I called Ann Arbor Pharmacy, and within 24 hours my prescriptions were transferred and the ones that needed refilling were filled. The environment is so quiet and calming, the employees are courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable, and there is never a long wait. It's just what the doctor ordered as the antidote for the he big box pharmacy that is causing your headache!

The Rite Aid in Brighton checked inventory and said Rite Aid Pinckney had it in stock, and off I went. I will tell you that DONNA and SYLVIA were the absolute best. Wonderfully helpful and patient as I struggled with providing them my Mom's proper information so as not to pay over $300 out of pocket. Donna offered creative solutions to find the information, tried everything in their database, and finally, I was able to coordinate a fax between the usual pharmacy and this Rite Aid. Donna and Sylvia worked to input all necessary information ahead of check out, so I wouldn't have to wait any longer than necessary. Those two professionals treated me with kindness and respect, appreciating my dilemma. THANK YOU DONNA and SYLVIA for being you, and treating your customers so well. I'm very grateful to you both.

Today I had a dental appointment and the dentist prescribed a medication for follow up. I didn't…read morehave the address of this pharmacy and couldn't look it up. This was during the very vast cell coverage outage. Could not make call, navigation , text, anything. I showed up and it was an hour from the dentist. No prescription there. I would have called the dentist but no coverage. I asked the girl if they could call. She went to the female pharmacist and she abruptly said "no". Looked at me through the glass. That was it. Sorry! The girl said. I drove 20 min home and awaited the system to come on-line. Called and even had a voicemail from the dentist about the prescription. 15 seconds and and address and it was on the way. What has this world come to? I have used this pharmacy for 9 years. I will never set foot in there again.

It was 1:29 and they knew we had been waiting for 30+ minutes, with no cars behind us anymore. A total lack of respect and care for their customers, incredibly immature, especially when dealing with prescription medicine that people depend on to live.
