Words truly cannot describe the seamless, breezy, wonderful experience my husband and I had with Fox & Sparrow Films. Truthfully, a videographer was one of the last vendors we booked because although I knew I wanted to capture the day on video, I could not - for the life of me - find a videographer that spoke to us as a couple. A lot of wedding videographers out there are romantic, light, airy - and while Michelle and Alisha certainly produce videos with those elements, we decidedly wanted something more edgy, a little more off-the-cuff, and little more electro and rocker at the same time. And Michelle and Alisha DELIVERED. I saw one highlight film on their website and just knew we had to book them. About a week before the wedding, Michelle and Alisha Facetimed us to chat about our wedding aesthetic, our flow, and the vision for the day. The conversation was easy and didn't feel forced, and my husband and I came away feeling confident that Michelle and Alisha had this handled. And they did. On the day of the wedding, Michelle and Alisha were inconspicuous, worked quietly and efficiently in the background, but were also so much fun. They made myself, my husband, our wedding party, family, friends, EVERYONE feel at ease and confident. They are genuinely sweet, dope humans with an eye for an artistic lens and frame. After the wedding, Michelle was communicative, responsive, and timely in the video delivery. Now that we have our full-length video, highlight video, and Instagram teaser back (coupled with the amazing day-off experience), I can confidently say that Fox and Sparrow was one of the BEST vendors we booked for our wedding. We also got a super cool wooden "Fox and Sparrow" flash drive (with our video on it) as a sort of commemorative token. Let me first say that I 1000% recommend Michelle to film your wedding video. We were referred to Michelle by a friend of ours who highly recommended her. My wife and I have a busy schedule and could not meet with her in person, so she offered to have a video chat with us. Very nice of her to accommodate us. We spoke at length about what we wanted and she asked all the appropriate questions and gave all the right answers. We really got the feeling that our video would be very personal to us and represent us in the most sincere way possible. Fast forward to the wedding day. Michelle was on time with all her crew, she had to drive over 3.5 hours to our venue as well! She was on top of filming everything of importance, as well as instructing us to shoot other more staged videos. She was like a fly on the wall, and I mean that in the best way possible. It felt like she belonged there with us. She was very sweet and supportive through the entire day. I had a very good feeling that our video would be amazing and it was! We received a teaser trailer within a week of our wedding! It was so amazing that it just left us wanting more. She was very fast with editing and delivering the final product. The look of the video was amazing. The style was so cool too. She captured every heartfelt moment, as well as all the hilarity that ensued throughout the day. My husband and I got married three weeks ago in Yosemite in an intimate ceremony. We wanted to keep things low key, so when asked if we'd be hiring someone to video our wedding, our answer was always no. And then I met Michelle of Fox & Sparrow Films. She was so thorough with answering all of my questions and spent literal weeks walking me through everything. And even then, I still was on the fence about fitting this into the budget, but she never once pressured me - just guided me through what the day would look like, what she'd capture and left the rest up to me. Then two weeks before the wedding, we decided to pull the trigger. And holy sh*t, we are so glad we did!!! Not only did Michelle take on the six hour car ride alone to be with us in Yosemite, but she did it with so much excitement and joy just to be there joining us for our special day. From the moment she arrived until the moment she left, she was absolutely incredible to work with. Not only was she a pleasure to be around, but it really spoke volumes when ALL (literally all) of our guests commented on her professionalism, her easygoing personality, and the pure passion she had for capturing our day. We received our full video today, which she actually made almost twice as long because in her words "it wouldn't have done our story justice" and she was right. We are in absolute awe. I'm not sure what we expected to receive, but she surpassed any expectation we could have had in every which way. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Michelle and Alisha! Due to being miles and miles a part, we were not able to meet in person to go over what our big day would essentially look like. That being said, Michelle FaceTimed with my husband and I to go over our ideas and our plans. She not only listened to our ideas, but added some of her own and helped create the itinerary for our day. The FaceTime is really when I knew that we were so lucky to have found Michelle and her team. Our FaceTime "meeting" felt more like we were just sharing our ideas with a friend. Fast forward to our wedding day, Michelle and Alisha arrived on time and ready to roll! They were SO incredibly accommodating and helpful. Let's be real, it's a little hard to "act natural" with a camera in your face- but they made it extremely easy to do so. We didn't feel judged on what we were doing or not doing, hoping that it was right and what they wanted. They were fun and perfectly down to earth. Everyone from our wedding (family, bridal party and guests) absolutely loved their personalities and how chill they were. It literally felt like we just grabbed people from our guest list and handed them cameras. They became one with all of us. As for our videos- OMG is all I can say.. The turn around time for our video was unbelievably quick, which was super exciting because I was too anxious to wait too long anyway! I watch the video over and over again, multiple times a day just to relive the feeling. I cry almost every time because you can truly feel every single detail deeply. It was very important to me to be able to look back and see the laughter on peoples faces, the joy of our parents and the love that we had for each-other. Every.single.time I watch it I am overcome with emotions because it brings me back to the day that flew by so quickly. I also even notice something new in every video which makes it even more fun. Pictures are also important but we can't wait to show our future children our wedding video so they can feel like they were also a part of that day. I really could go on and on about how absolutely amazing and talented this Fox and Sparrow duo is, but this review would be incredibly long! We met Michelle Diaz as we were looking at wedding venues and she was there preparing to video a ceremony. We had also interviewed other videographers. We asked questions and took her business card. We visited her website and looked at her previous work. It all looked good and professional. Looked. We selected a package and signed the contract that included start times and locations. Well, she asked to come later than the contracted times...disconcerting but not a big deal and we agreed. Our big day arrived and I meet Michelle at the venue and give her the final payment (check). She shot video of me getting ready, etc. Her assistant is a male. He is in the bridal area wanting to take pictures /video while she's changing, etc. My fiancee and everyone else is telling him no and he's insisting and saying it's ok because he's gay! So now my fiancee is upset. Unprofessional. She "lost" the check I had given her earlier. I stopped payment and sent a 2nd check to her apartment /business address and she claimed for several days that she had not received it. I told her that if I became a victim of identity theft, I would prosecute. She suddenly received the check. She finally sent the finished product. 47 minutes of our big day. 47 minutes! She is a shady, unprofessional person who spitefully only sent a fraction of the ceremony /reception. Michelle and assistant also did not work well with our photographer to the point that the planner at our venue said that Michelle can not return! That says something. From the first email communication to texts messages and meeting in person, Michelle was very kind, professional, respectful, considerate and flexible. She wanted to know what we wanted before even sharing her vision and she took the time to get to know us as a couple which I feel impacted the outcome of our highlight video! She was thorough in her communication and keeping her word, as well as showed up on time day of our wedding in June, and took full initiative to make it all happen. She handled everything maturely, was beyond focused and passionate in her videographer skills as well as friendly and gracious to our guests (which is also very important!). First, she helped us plan the events during the wedding. We didn't have a wedding planner and were trying to plan everything ourselves. This was challenging as neither of us knew what to expect. Michelle had a phone call with us and gave us some detailed ideas that we could use. Second, she did a wonderful job during the wedding.
