I have been to many carnivals and fairs in my time. You have seen one, you have seen most of them…read more This latest gathering was a little different. As I was working my way down the boardwalk of the latest festival, I was curious of a large group of people, children and adults alike, stopped and fully engaged with something there in the center of this mass of onlookers. I investigated further, only to find that in the middle of the body of people, was a lone man. He stood there, while 30+ sets of eyes focused on him, he was calm, funny and entertaining. It was an amazing site to see. Attendees, both young and old, were amazed and astounded by the magical act of Phil Smith. He held their attention and made sure to include as many of the watchers as possible. My son and I stood for quite some time, mesmerized with the tricks and jokes that were coming from this modern-day wizard. After a while, we finally broke his spell, and he politely moved down the track a little further, to offer more entertainment to the unsuspecting masses. Phil was never far from the crowd; he was holding magical court and the subjects loved it. Phil, you did an amazing job and both my son, and I appreciate you and your craft. Keep it magical!
