I had my fence installed about 2 years ago. They did a great job installing the fence, and it looked good for about 6-8 months. Then one of the side gates started deteriorating. It has become increasingly hard to open that gate because it catches and the wood is warping. I had the fence painted after about 9 months. They told me the wood was dry, but that was not true. The wood has has now "leaked" sap on almost every board of the fence. There are also knots popping in multiple boards. I would not recommend Fox Fence. The value for the money paid is just not there. read more

Poor responsiveness to provide a callback for an estimate took nearly a week and a callbacks. Upon a 2-minute conversation Fox says they can't help us because you need gate for your driveway to compliment fencing in the backyard and our supplier (apparently the only one we can work with) is experiencing delays therefore I don't think we can help you. Mind you we have not decided on type of gate, wood, aluminum, standard or custom. Have you ever gotten the feeling through a series of initial questions where someone just doesn't want to do business with you; well this was that time. In the end, appreciate the transparency at least. read more

Today, we drove for over an hour to the home we are buying, and no one showed up, even after we received multiple calls to verify the appointment. NO ONE SHOWED UP! We have since tried to call them at least 10 times with no answer nor call back! Called for an estimate. Left message with person answering phones. Waited a week and no response. Called and left another message. Finally, two days later we got a call back from a salesperson. He sets up an estimate for Friday 9/18/20. But that was it. "Friday." We said we needed a bit more specific time as we had afternoon plans. Reply was "between 8am - 1pm." We wait for five hours. No show. It's now 5:22pm and we haven't even received a phone call. Terrible customer service, not professional and just plain disrespectful of us and our time. So glad we discovered this BEFORE having them do work because if this experience is any indication, their workmanship would be just awful. read more

We hired Fox Fence on the recommendation of a friend, and were not disappointed. They replaced a chain-link section of fence that had been damaged by a tree, and even added to it. They also built a nice section of wooden privacy fence on one side of the house to hide our garbage cans and such. It is excellently constructed and the gate is perfect. The price was reasonable and everything was as promised. I would definitely use them again. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING! They are not honest at all. I sent Fox Fence the measurements another company had given me when bidding on my fence. Fox sent back a price that was very good, and I had their rep come out to my house to set things up. The next day, they emailed the contract and final price. I noticed there was an increase of $49, which really isn't a huge deal, and I replied back that I'd be willing to move forward at the original price. Their response was that the price given was the best price they could give. When I asked why the price went up, they couldn't give me an explanation. I called and asked to speak with the owner, and was told he was in a meeting and I could leave a message. A short time later, I received an email stating he had left for the day. I did eventually get an email from the company stating that the actual measurements were 3 feet more than the estimate. My reply was that the measurements their rep sent me came out to 1 foot LESS than the estimate. They then sent me a diagram with the rep's measurements, and it was3 feet larger. However, that diagram was not the diagram attached to my contract. I asked which diagram was correct, and they never replied. read more

Fox Fence Company built us our custom fence to help add a little more privacy and give our dog a place to run around! We bought our house last March with a make-shift fence that was really just pieces of other fences put together. The owner, Tom, came by for our free estimate and took a look around our backyard with us. He listened to what we wanted and then had his team out here soon after to get it started. They are so helpful and gave us exactly what we wanted. Our Fox Fence adds so much to our house (and our property value!!). Every picket was meticulously placed so it looks incredibly polished and professional. I had them build a 6ft privacy fence for me recently and it was crooked down the whole yard. They also didn't bother asking the city to mark utilities and built it right on top of a drain despite the fact that I told them it was there and to build on the inside of it multiple times. There were also random boards overlapping each other on my fence, the whole thing was covered in something that looked like green mold which they claimed was just something the boards were shipped in (but which they couldn't be bothered to wash off, I supposed) and they had nails sticking out of the fence everywhere so that half the verticals weren't actually secured properly. To their credit they did send the original guy out to fix *some* of the problems. I'm still trying to convince them to make it right and build me a proper fence, I will update if they ever do in case it was just a bad contractor that they used or something. read more

Same issues as others here. We had our fence about an year and the workmanship and quality are terrible. I have had Fox out four times to basically replace the entire fence. The boards are warped, gates don't close and big gaps between the fence boards. For a price of $5,000 I expected better. read more

I wish I could give Fox Fence Company negative stars! I saw Rob Crowe's horribly leaning fence, a neighborhood off Hwy 61 and one off Bobo Road too. They all are just over a year since installation and have boards curling up, popping loose. There are thumb size gaps between the boards. There are gates that won't close properly due to poor alignment. Thank you Mr. Crowe for spending time with me, showing me your fence and telling me how much Fox Fence isn't willing to stand behind their products. I contacted 9 (nine!) companies for estimates and only 4 called me back. One was located too far away, one never followed-up on a scheduled appointment, and two actually came out for estimates. Had I gone by some of the negative reviews on this site, I may not have used Fox Fence Co.; however, they came at the recommendation of another fencing company so I called. The team at FFC has been communicative, efficient, and professional. I chose them because their price was in my budget, but am really impressed with the job they did. From the friendly office to the sales rep to the builder, I am super happy with this team and am just as happy with the fence I have. I'd definitely recommend FFC. read more

Fox Fence Company (FFC) installed a fence for us many years ago and did a fine job. We've made two calls to FFC recently to get an estimate on fixing one of the gates (apparently the fence has settled and the latches no longer line up). Both times, they said someone would give us a call back to set up a time for coming out and giving us an estimate. The first call was about a month ago and we never received a call back. The second call was three days ago, and we still haven't received a call back. I guess we'll be looking for a new fence company. read more

I am over Fox Fence! I needed a quote to fix and reinstall some metal fence panels around our neighborhood pool. I called almost 3 months ago asking for a quote. It took me calling back weekly and then daily before I could get one of their sales reps to come out and quote the job... that was over 3 weeks ago. Had a fence installed by one guy. One. I called the company later because some boards were split and they sent the same guy to replace. He messed up the gate and hinges and opening mechanism and when I said something he said they were all fine. I can barely open the gate from the inside now. The hinge on top is not centered on the gate and looks like it's about to fall off. A split board was "repIaired" not by replacing the defective board he caused but by hammering a nail up in the split. Call placed 5 weeks ago to send someone to repair the repair went unreturned till I called again today. I requested a different person to repair the repair and the owner said they won't send anyone else. Why would I want the same guy there? Is it because my fence is on a small yard vs a large expensive yard? Not much money for them but they gave me a warranty. I won't refer them to anyone ever again. read more

Unfortunately, despite hoping for better resolution, this is not to be forthcoming, so I feel compelled to advice anyone dealing with this company to do your "homework." Communication is poor, and preliminary prep (i.e. property line survey) was non existent. Moreover, although Fox was doing most of the fence work for a NEW development, and that builder's agent referred us to them, Fox Fence, in turn, obviously did not even reference the county plat when constructing the fence. They then faulted us. This then resulted in a discovery of another problem with their estimate. Long story, short...this cost us hundreds of dollars! read more

I had several estimates for my privacy fence and went with Fox Fence for a few reasons. * They came in good with the overall estimate * They were honest on the timeline (2.5 weeks) for installation * They informed me of some key elements with fence construction that I did not get from other companies. * They emailed the estimate next business day and addressed my questions right away. * I was contacted the day prior to installation and met with the crew to confirm the work being done. * The crew did a professional job, not like other photos posted by other customers. I had an 8" fence on the one side, with gate, and graduated to 6" across the back of our lot. * The crew installed the job in one day and cleaned up after themselves. * The only minus to the project was the truck was not a company truck and the workers could be a subcontract team. I'm not worried that they don't have on company tee shirts or drive a rust bucket, but if you need things to 'look' professional, then this is not who you call. Our team of three men did a great job and we were completely satisfied with the workmanship. * I received a follow up call and email about the satisfaction and balance due. * We have a 12 month warranty and construction should see this fence long after we have sold our property. As a homeowner, you are only going to get the quality of fence to which you inquire about. If you take the time and meet several companies, you find out who's just selling you a fence and who will back up their workmanship. Your fence is an investment that will reward you for many years, so don't just go cheap and get the guy who can install it tomorrow. Hope this helps! read more
