The location is perfect, with private off-street parking, and a short walk to the shops and restaurants on the Main Street. Take a walk down the Keuka Outlet Trail or bring your bikes for a ride around the lake. It's ten minutes to Seneca Lake, and the closest wineries are just down the road. The Trimmer House is a stunning Victorian home with beautiful sitting rooms, a large, covered front porch, and cozy bedrooms. The en suite with the clawfoot tub was a selling point for me. Bessie's Room was spectacular. It was spacious, comfortable, and the shutters made for the perfect conditions for sleeping. I've never stayed in a B&B, and the Trimmer House has set the bar incredibly high. I can't rave enough about the breakfast - the food was amazing! Quiche, tarts, fresh food, bottomless coffee. I have a hard time believing there is a better breakfast in town. Bravo to the amazing hosts for creating such a comfortable, luxury experience in Penn Yan. Worth every penny and more!

It has new house smell and was pristine. The rooms are larger than I thought with good sized closets. I needed a desk for the week and the owners were very kind to bring one to the room for me. By the way - most folks are out for the day so the WiFi was better than my company jet pack! Definitely a plus. Breakfast this week landed around 9a and I had meetings during that time. They were so gracious to have a plate ready or welcome me to the porch table for privacy. Pros: - Their wine is delicious and their origin story is very interesting. Schedule a tasting ($10)! - Breakfast was delicious every day and includes ingredients from their garden - Local coffee served. And, it's good! - Beautiful, clean home - Knowledgeable owners - Close to several wineries - Short drive to town (restaurants) - beautiful area, super relaxing Cons: - Most wineries close at 5pm - TV in my room was *very* small. The bed was really comfortable and the room was large. The most impressive was the breakfast, which came with a main dish made of eggs (not sunny side up, that would be too simple) such as quiche or croque madam and many side dishes such as fruit mimosa, yogurt, rolls, etc. Everything was exquisite and delicious. The hosts Cindy and Casey created a warm and homey atmosphere for our stay. The house has sort of an estate so parking is easy.

Big beds, beautiful bathrooms, air conditioning, cable, DVD, and vhs available. I didn't even get to the breakfast. Chris prepares fresh homemade yogurt with fresh berries that she grows in her garden in the backyard. It also includes a baked good, today was the most delicious scone I've ever had, bacon, and egg frittata! The coffee is also local. Breakfast is different everyday!! Chris is also very thoughtful to prepare special foods for anyone with food allergies. My aunt is allergic to eggs, wheat, and dairy. And Chris made a special tofu scramble for her. I loved the cozy robe just like you have in a 5 star hotel. And lovely fragrant soap. Chris made sure to accommodate my gluten free needs. She was so wonderfully attentive and sweet. We feel like we made a life long friend as we will certainly return. Chris is a wonderful host and chef. We thoroughly enjoyed her delicious breakfasts each morning. She even invited us to join her on Ride the Rails which was fantastic too. Definitely check that out when you visit the area. I'll also add that Penn Yan is a great central spot that makes it easy to get to most of the other finger lakes.
