It has new house smell and was pristine. The rooms are larger than I thought with good sized closets. I needed a desk for the week and the owners were very kind to bring one to the room for me. By the way - most folks are out for the day so the WiFi was better than my company jet pack! Definitely a plus. Breakfast this week landed around 9a and I had meetings during that time. They were so gracious to have a plate ready or welcome me to the porch table for privacy. Pros: - Their wine is delicious and their origin story is very interesting. Schedule a tasting ($10)! - Breakfast was delicious every day and includes ingredients from their garden - Local coffee served. The bed was really comfortable and the room was large. The most impressive was the breakfast, which came with a main dish made of eggs (not sunny side up, that would be too simple) such as quiche or croque madam and many side dishes such as fruit mimosa, yogurt, rolls, etc. Everything was exquisite and delicious. The hosts Cindy and Casey created a warm and homey atmosphere for our stay. The house has sort of an estate so parking is easy.

Chris prepares fresh homemade yogurt with fresh berries that she grows in her garden in the backyard. It also includes a baked good, today was the most delicious scone I've ever had, bacon, and egg frittata! The coffee is also local. Breakfast is different everyday!! Chris is also very thoughtful to prepare special foods for anyone with food allergies. My aunt is allergic to eggs, wheat, and dairy. And Chris made a special tofu scramble for her. Chris is the owner and she did absolutely everything she possibly could to make our stay as awesome as it was. The Inn is just beautiful with every possible amenity. Super clean and comfy. I loved the cozy robe just like you have in a 5 star hotel. And lovely fragrant soap. Chris made sure to accommodate my gluten free needs. She was so wonderfully attentive and sweet. We feel like we made a life long friend as we will certainly return. Chris is a wonderful host and chef. We thoroughly enjoyed her delicious breakfasts each morning. She even invited us to join her on Ride the Rails which was fantastic too. Definitely check that out when you visit the area. I'll also add that Penn Yan is a great central spot that makes it easy to get to most of the other finger lakes. So even if you are only in Penn Yam for a bit, you can easily visit the other attractions and lakes easily and stay in Chris's perfect Bed and Breakfast. We stayed in the Blue Room, located on the left when you first walk in the home. The bed was SO comfortable and everything was neat and clean. Susan and Burney gave us a tour of their home as soon as we arrived and even accommodated us when we wanted to pick up our coupons for wineries a little before check-in. The breakfasts are to die for. Their coffee is a brew that they have made special for them and it is a nice, medium-bodied coffee with a smooth finish. The breakfasts are always filling and usually come with some sort of starter (fruit, biscuits, etc.), then go into the main course. My personal favorite during my stay was Burney's homemade Belgian waffles. They also have a variety of different jams/jellies at each breakfast and they are for sale as well. I ended up taking a Los Gatos B&B coffee mug home myself! Finally, Los Gatos provides an excellent social atmosphere for all guests. Each night, Burney would light the campfire on the deck for us and many of the other guests would join us with bottles of wine and we would talk about our experiences at the Finger Lakes. Breakfast is always as a group and after a couple of days, you feel like you have made some brand new friends. I strongly encourage all travelers to consider staying with Burney and Susan at Los Gatos. It is an unforgettable experience!
