The location is perfect, with private off-street parking, and a short walk to the shops and restaurants on the Main Street. Take a walk down the Keuka Outlet Trail or bring your bikes for a ride around the lake. It's ten minutes to Seneca Lake, and the closest wineries are just down the road. The Trimmer House is a stunning Victorian home with beautiful sitting rooms, a large, covered front porch, and cozy bedrooms. The en suite with the clawfoot tub was a selling point for me. Bessie's Room was spectacular. It was spacious, comfortable, and the shutters made for the perfect conditions for sleeping. I've never stayed in a B&B, and the Trimmer House has set the bar incredibly high. I can't rave enough about the breakfast - the food was amazing! Quiche, tarts, fresh food, bottomless coffee. I have a hard time believing there is a better breakfast in town. Bravo to the amazing hosts for creating such a comfortable, luxury experience in Penn Yan. Worth every penny and more!

It has new house smell and was pristine. The rooms are larger than I thought with good sized closets. I needed a desk for the week and the owners were very kind to bring one to the room for me. By the way - most folks are out for the day so the WiFi was better than my company jet pack! Definitely a plus. Breakfast this week landed around 9a and I had meetings during that time. They were so gracious to have a plate ready or welcome me to the porch table for privacy. Pros: - Their wine is delicious and their origin story is very interesting. Schedule a tasting ($10)! - Breakfast was delicious every day and includes ingredients from their garden - Local coffee served. I'll also add that Penn Yan is a great central spot that makes it easy to get to most of the other finger lakes. We stayed in the Blue Room, located on the left when you first walk in the home. The bed was SO comfortable and everything was neat and clean. Susan and Burney gave us a tour of their home as soon as we arrived and even accommodated us when we wanted to pick up our coupons for wineries a little before check-in. The breakfasts are to die for. Their coffee is a brew that they have made special for them and it is a nice, medium-bodied coffee with a smooth finish. The breakfasts are always filling and usually come with some sort of starter (fruit, biscuits, etc.), then go into the main course. My personal favorite during my stay was Burney's homemade Belgian waffles. They also have a variety of different jams/jellies at each breakfast and they are for sale as well. I ended up taking a Los Gatos B&B coffee mug home myself! Finally, Los Gatos provides an excellent social atmosphere for all guests. Each night, Burney would light the campfire on the deck for us and many of the other guests would join us with bottles of wine and we would talk about our experiences at the Finger Lakes. Breakfast is always as a group and after a couple of days, you feel like you have made some brand new friends. I strongly encourage all travelers to consider staying with Burney and Susan at Los Gatos. It is an unforgettable experience!
