What can you say about a place that is so amazing. Ckeckin was so smooth. The owners were great with emailing instructions. Pulling up to the property even now with things just starting to bloom was beautiful. Owners were so friendly. Now let's talk about breakfast. Can you say yum. The stuffed French toast was to die for. Location is convenient to the wine trail. Only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the lovely decks. Oh and to meet their dogs. Lol. Lavish hospitality, natural beauty, and calm, those are the first three things I noticed about Greenwoods Bed & Breakfast Inn, an Adirondack style, five-guest room B&B located overlooking Lake Honeoye in the Finger Lakes region. Friday night arrival, we were greeted and shown around Greenwoods by our warm and welcoming hosts, Rick and Leroy. The natural wood paneled great room awaited us with a toasty fire and home made chocolate chip cookies. Nice touch. We were introduced to our fellow guests (Stephen and Jim, a friendly couple from Toronto), sat down by the fire and had a lovely evening getting to know them. My room, the Comstock, was quiet, spacious and immaculately clean with a gorgeous view to Lake Honeoye. It had a well-appointed bathroom that contained everything I needed--including a retractable cord blow dryer, which I had forgotten. I have back and neck issues and was concerned about the mattress, but it was nicely firm, and I slept well (side note: the sheets smelled really good). The next morning, I woke to the smell of fresh brewed coffee, which I drank in the great room while checking my email (fast Wi-Fi) and awaiting breakfast. I'm a bit of a coffee snob, but enjoyed the dark blend. Breakfast began with the most amazing poached pear with a raspberry sauce in creamy yogurt. Not usually a pear fan, I left nothing but the stem and would have licked the plate if I'd been alone : o Main course was OMG!-stuffed French toast with blueberry compote and a really tasty vegetarian sausage (I had let our hosts know my preferences beforehand). I probably could have done with half my portion of the French toast, but ate it anyway, which held me through the afternoon. Fortified, my girlfriend Pam and I took off to explore the nearby town Canandaigua, which offered a nice variety of reasonable shops and cute restaurants (alas, we were still full). Then, we headed over to Victor for our facials at Relax the Spa, followed up by a farm-to-table dinner at Roots Restaurant in nearby Naples. It was a great choice and offered vegetarian selections. Rick and Leroy pulled out all the stops Sunday morning for breakfast. First course: a colorful and healthy fruit salad NOT containing Honeydew melon (which I consider the black jellybean of fruit). Then, delicious eggs Florentine and cheesy hash browns so good I could have rubbed them all over my skin (kidding, not kidding), and, a side of those yummy sausages. We lingered in the dining hall talking to newer arrivals, Tom and Rob, as Leroy kept the coffee flowing, then moved our conversation to the great room and another roaring fire. I travel frequently and use hotels B&Bs, Inns, and airbnbs, so have pretty high standards for hospitality. Rick and Leroy exceeded my expectations, and then some. Not only are they friendly and attentive, they are perfectionists who are dedicated to their guests having a top-notch, relaxing, unforgettable stay--and it was. As a matter of fact, I've already been in contact with my siblings to suggest Greenwoods for our next family reunion. Yes, it's that good. read more

We just had a lovely couple days at our new favourite B+B. Honeoye is charming, nearby Naples and Lima equally so- vineyards, antiques and fantastic local restaurants. But the B+B- so authentic: warm, friendly hosts (without being overbearing); a delicious, quiet, comfortable room, the best bed ever, in-room fireplace; sumptuous breakfasts (we didn't need to eat til dinner). What a nice place for a quiet getaway! My wife and I stayed in a larger suite, but, as it was a Sunday night with no other guests, we were given a tour of the whole house. I'm really glad we were able to view it all, because I can see this would be a great B&B for a large family vacation. I enjoyed seeing every room, noting each was named for a region of NY, and decorated accordingly. Any one of them could have been a page out of a magazine; beautiful beds, wooden furniture, tasteful furnishings. The common areas are also nicely done, with a very relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was enjoyable, and obviously made by someone who likes making things special. The owners were delightful and friendly, with good suggestions on what to do in the area. My wife and I regularly do a retreat in the Finger Lakes region about twice a year. We always like to try something new, this time we wanted to stay in the more western regions of the Finger Lakes. We stumbles across this place while looking for B&B's in the Honeoye area. Greenwoods Bed and Breakfast Inn has really good reviews on trip advisor, so why not try this place. We were not disappointed. The owners were great hosts, fantastic breakfast and very neat with great attention to detail. If you are in the Finger lakes region I recommend staying here. Rick and LeRoy were exceptional hosts, and we truly enjoyed our stay at their B & B. The setting was serene and beautiful, and our suite was well decorated with all of the amenities including an extremely comfortable bed and cozy fireplace. Breakfast was 5 star in both flavor and presentation, and our hosts attended to my Celiac and Keto dietary requirements-I did not ask, they insisted! The coffee was perfection. We wish we had more time to spend sitting by the relaxing koi pond, and in the large hot tub. We were staying to attend a weekend family function, so we were limited as to what our schedule would allow. Our hosts' knowledge of the area was helpful to the other lovely guests. They suggested numerous cafes, restaurants, wineries, museums, and nature areas which makes us want to return soon! read more

Greenwoods Bed and Breakfast is perfect for relaxing in a country setting. It looks out over a pond, with Honeoye Lake in the background. The rooms are thoughtfully appointed and comfortable. Innkeepers Rick and Leroy have created a charming and relaxing atmosphere at Greenwoods Inn! Their private B&B offers modern amenities with rustic ambiance. Also, they run their B&B with real enthusiasm and keep it in perfect condition, down to every detail - very clean, charming, and brilliant breakfasts - they even maintain the Inn's long-standing tradition of hand-pressed bed sheets! My wife and I enjoyed our stay in November as Rick and Leroy kept a cozy log fire in the great room, served fresh hot chocolate daily in the afternoon, and had great recommendations for near-by afternoon/evening activities. Our room was a beautifully maintained, two-room suit with a see-through fire place connecting the two rooms. Queen size bed was extremely comfortable, we had a very strong wifi signal, and two televisions with many cable channels (sports, news, weather, etc.). Bathroom was very spacious with large shower/tub. They also offered a private outdoor hot tub on their patio. Last, but not least, Rick and Leroy prepared delicious breakfasts during our stay: fruit salad with french toast, poached pears, eggs Benedict, and continuous refills on coffee, tea, juice, etc. Everything was delicious! Also, they were very accommodating to dietary restrictions and were happy to prepare a special breakfast just for me. If you want an escape in the Finger Lakes, start here!! Perfect place to stay for winter ski trips or summer activities around the Finger Lakers. Very highly recommended! We look forward to returning to Greenwoods! read more
