I have used Fox pest control now for over 2 years. They treat my exterior of the house at least 4 times a year. They give me an explanation of all services that they are going to do and then what they did do. The technicians are polite and knowledgeable about their products they do and how they should work. They have been called to remove a yellow jacket nest about the size of a basketball. To do an extra spay to handle an increase of black ants that were all over our patio during the hot dry summer. He had the same tech come the first couple times, he never gave any instructions other than be outside the home when he arrives and stay out for a couple hours after the tech leaves. The tech was only in the house for about 20 minutes each time he came, for a house over 2,000sqft. My father was told that they would come back as many times as needed within 30-days until the issue was solved, yet complained that they had to come more than 3 times. I signed a one-year service agreement with a guarantee against ants. After the one year, I cancelled when I made my final payment. I was assured I had 60 days to call for treatment if I had any issues. Just shy of 60 days the carpenter ants returned. I called and someone came right out (which was great). BUT, I started receiving billing statements because I was automatically enrolled in the one-year service agreement. I was not informed of this when I called and the service isn't actually guaranteed if I have to continue to pay for it! Customer service did cancel the contract when I called, but I still had to pay the single service fee (that was part of the guarantee period). read more

This company is like the Renewal by Anderson of pest control. They go door to door multiple times per year in spite of repeatedly being asked to not come back. If you don't answer during the day, they come back in the evening. If I had need for pest control I would call someone. I am not going to magically discover pests because you came to the door. Salesman came to the door I signed on for a year of their service, in a week I found two dead birds in the yard, I asked about it. They said they use all natural products that could not do that. About a month into our contract, my wife spotted some tiny ants in our kitchen and I called, they made an appointment for a week later, which was no problem, they gave me a four hour window, which I left work early to be there they never called or showed, I received a text message four days later, stating my appointment had been rescheduled to three days from than. When I called to complain they didn't seem to care, it's almost like they wanted me to cancel our contract so they could charge me the $250.00 fee. Anyways, that's what I did and they charged me, no big deal but I'm telling everyone that will listen that they're just a scam rip off. read more

I wanted to say how much I was impressed by the employees that I have meet through Fox Pest Control. I got excellent service through the call center I was having a mouse problem at house in Gates and that afternoon Technician Mark came out. He put traps and bait stations and said he would be back in 2 weeks. I scream from the roof tops Hallelujah my mouse problem was instantly gone. When they came back we found 1 mouse on a trap. I was literally seeing mice on a daily occurrence like they were scouting out places to annoy my dogs. Since then we have had no activity. We had recently moved into a new house in Churchville and found mouse droppings here and found a few dead on a trap in our 3 seasons room. We immediately called Fox Pest Control because we new what excellent service we had received at the old house. Investigator Scott Bowman came to the rescue. He was absolutely amazing. I never knew the places a mouse could hide and how many holes we had at the new house. I felt valued he took the time to explain mouse behavior and things to watch out for. I wished I had him over at the old house too. I am confident that our rodents will have to go find another place to hang out cause there not welcomed here. HORRIBLE SERVICE! They never came out to do the home protection plan. They never did anything for this plan even thou they billed me each month for it. I paid for the lawn service as well. I had bee problems which was never fixed. After 6 months of this and now wanting to cancel they want me to pay a $250 cancellation fee. They never performed one of the plan which I already paid for and stained my patio wall when trying to treat for bees. They hung up the phone 3 times. I then called again and talked with someone. Now a service manager is going to come out and see what they can do. read more

This individual adressed my concerns and corrected the paperwork issues ,understood my frustration with the company's performance(service tech ). Joshua was respectful, conscientious,and courteous. Joshua addressed my concerns in a very timely fashion ,less than 1 hr and treated me as a human not just another account payable. After several months of having a service tech come out to spray our yard, we noticed the same result after every visit. Mosquitoes were still here. We do not live in a marsh, nor a bog , nor a swamp. We do not have standing water, nor some sort of stream, river, or other outlet that sits in our backyard. After a multitude of calls and attempts to get the situation rectified, we were at a loss due to the fact that we were paying $110 a month and within 24 hours seeing all the same bugs that the pest control was supposedly going to solve. They never dissipated. With that, my wife made several attempts to have them address the charges and fix the situation. I joined her on some of these phone calls, and we were assured that a tech was coming back out to re-spray at no charge. Lo and behold, the tech came out, seemingly did the job, and by way of magic, we were charged again! After going round and round and round with contact and then having to wait days on end, sometimes more than that for return contact, we decided to pull the plug on the service. In that timeframe, we were told that we have to pay a cancellation fee for months that they don't actually service, of which we questioned, and we were met with stiff resistance. $250 cancellation fee. Understanding that a contract is a contract, however - if the service doesn't work, then the customer shouldn't be liable to pay for service. After entering in a complaint to the BBB and OAG, and no response from their customer service, mysteriously we get charged the cancellation fee. This all coincides with leaving an online review that was terribly honest, and then mysteriously we see that $250 cancellation charge. It would be hard to see it as anything other than retaliatory. As the BBB complaint moved forward, in a matter of a few weeks, we were then refunded the $250 cancellation charge. Bottom line: the service did not work for us. That doesn't mean that it won't work for you. However, unscrupulous customer practices and lack of customer service makes this 100% a no-go for our house. read more

I called to cancel and they said it would be $240 to cancel but they would reduce my contract to one year. So I said thank you and thought it was the end. Today I called because we received a note saying the price was increasing. I called to ask how a contract price could increase. She said that after my year contract ended, it went month to month. I told her I didn't want the contract so why would I want monthly. She continued to say it states it in the contract. So they charged me $412.16 for a service I did not want and did not know I had. We used their services and never had the proper treatments or anything with them. They would reschedule and then charge us double! The still knock on the door or bell which makes my dogs go crazy. Zach contacted me prior to showing up for the job which I appreciated.He got the wasp hive down,which was pretty big in size,in inclimate weather.There was quite a bit of residue from the hive left on my siding but he did disclose this to me after the job.I guess being on the house as long as it was,it was bound to happen.He told me a quick power wash would get it off so that's what I plan to do in the very near future.All in all,I was pleased with his service and correspondence and wouldn't hesitate to hire your company in the future.Thanks for everything.The only reason I'm leaving a 4 star rating rather than a 5 is because I was quoted $140 over the phone and was billed $150. read more

I do not trust this company. Like similar reviews, like a fool I signed up when one of their representatives walking the streets stopped by and offered Fox's pest control services. My reasons for cancelling: I witnessed an irresponsible action in public by one of their technicians which was supported by a service manager. Regarding wood bees, the rep walking the street told me they were covered, however the service technician said what they can do is limited by law. Regarding fleas, which is the main reason I got the service, I was told they would be treated. My dogs still ended up with fleas a few weeks after treatment. I paid Fox over $235 + a $250 cancellation fee I was told can't be waived, and an additional $300 to another company to treat a pest I was told was covered. Signing up with Fox was the biggest waste of nearly $800 in less than 60 days. read more

I will say they came out in under 24° to get rid of the wasps that were inside my siding. The product didn't kill them instantly but within a few days the pests were gone. The technician was great. However, when I called for service I was only offered a one year contract. I paid 180$, thinking that was for the one time service. The contract is 58$ billed monthly. It's 250$ to cancel the contract early. That's an outrageous fee considering it is a quarterly service. read more

I have used Fox since 2020. Recently I found carpenter ants in an upstairs bedroom. I ask them to come out and and inspect my attic. I learned that they WILL NOT go into my attic to inspect it for a nest. They will just "stick" their head in the access area and look around. Since I have had a problem in the past with carpenter ants, not this home, I wanted to be certain there was no satellite nest. They refused to go into the attic as it is "company" policy. I cancelled their service at that point. They charged, without my knowledge or permission, my credit card $150.00!!! I was NEVER informed about this fee and I talked to several people before cancelling and even the person I talked with to cancel NEVER informed me of this fee. Please don't use them as all they do is walk around your property. They also stated on an invoice that they did my "yard" but they never go beyond the foundation, never in to the yard. read more

I was contacted by a branch manager today who was apologetic but did not offer a refund of my money as the owner stated below. Instead he offered to do an ant, spider or mosquito treatment for free this spring. I declined as I don't typically have these issues, and am not comfortable working with the company again in. What I don't understand is why a refund was stated here but when I get a phone call it's just an offer for more services. Once again it feels as though this company just says what needs to be said in the moment without any real follow through. I now very firmly believe the owner's offer was essentially for show to mitigate some of the negative attention from a bad review and to posture to future customers. I'm a single mom to a type 1 diabetic child- all of the money I spent to fix a problem I had to eventually eradicate myself matters greatly to us. I do not appreciate the smoke screen comment about a refund when one was not offered or provided. I will give the manger who called credit, I'm sure he didn't want to do that today. He did repeat consistently this isn't how he runs his branch, but unfortunately these issues did occur causing a domino effect of problems and a financial burden I am still dealing with as a result of the ceiling damage. I appreciate his willingness to swallow his pride but the apologies are hollow for me at this point . I still feel as though all my frustration is being met with a response more for show than action. My review still remains at a star, and my hope is it will provide some much needed caution for other prospective customers. Given the visibility of the review system and how clearly important this is to consumers, I do plan to share my review now on other platforms such a Google and Facebook as well. read more

Beware canceling is next to impossible! I had to try and cancel multiple times before they would stop blind siding me with monthly bills. They will bait you in with a low price but require you to sign a year long contract which will bill you monthly. Once your year contract is up you automatically get renewed into a month to month agreement which will continue to charge you monthly. From that point on they require 30 days notice (from your last bill) to cancel. My billing was on the 1st of each month, I called to cancel November 3rd and was charged for the ENTIRE month of November. The local manager who would not speak to me and chose not to be named to me would not waive the November fee so I had to pay a full month over 3 days. read more

When I told them I wasn't interested they asked me if it was the down payment or the monthly cost that was so expensive for me. They first told me they were gonna be here Monday and then copy back later on that night and said sorry we're gonna have to reschedule for Tuesday but will give you a discount price of $25 which I was OK with, so they said they would be here Tuesday night between four and six I never got a call they never showed up. Got a call late Wednesday night around eight 9 o'clock from the automated system saying that they would be here Thursday night between four and six tried to call them back. Cancel appointment after multiple hours on hold I finally got a hold of somebody, they canceled the appointment with no explanation. Just didn't charge me for anything. read more

I will give 3 stars so far. This only the first day but so far I am pleased. Manny started with a courtesy call, giving me time to be ready. Manny was attentive , informative and helped reassure me that I am in good hands. I wish he would have ventured further into the attic to leave bait. However, I will see how effective the bait will be. I think Manny did a great job leaving bait for ants and mice. I really like that he sprayed outside of home and checked the perimeter for access. I had a great experience with Fox pest control when I had an infestation of fleas. They normally scheduled me for 5-7 days out, but when I expressed how terrible the problem was, they very much expedited their response and upped the time they came to provide service. They came back 4 times to provide 3 internal/external services and then another 4th external service. These people seem to think that once you have signed up with them they can continue to help themselves to your money even after you terminate the contract, for an exorbitant fee. Their Customer Service is atrocious, they leave you on hold for ever, and don't call back if you lose patience and leave a message. Emailing them is just as fruitless. Technicians are wonderful, polite and thorough when they treat, but that is useless when I am sitting on hold for over thirty minutes before giving up when I need to request additional treatments. BE AWARE. THIS COMPANY IS CURRENTLY SCAMMING ME. They sold me their services after a knock on my door. I was sold a month to month full yard pest control service, where they would spray my entire yard for ticks, fleas and mosquitos etc. I was told I would be charged $108 for the first month and $70 dollars every month after that. The guy handed me a clipboard with a line to sign on and like an idiot i trusted them and signed it. The first $108 payment was for the first month/service. They came to my house on 7/10 and sprayed my house down, not my yard. They left every single window dripping with product. I was told I did not sign up for the yard service. I emailed and called them looking for answers and got no response. Four days later, 7/14, I was charged an additional $70. Now i'm out $178 in five days and I did not receive the service I signed up for. They finally called me back today 7/19 and confirmed i was indeed signed up for a house only service. I asked to change it and they assured me it would be double the price. I asked to cancel the service and they told me there would be a $250 service fee PLUS payment for the discounts i received. Now If I cancel their service i will be charged over $600!! No sympathy on their end. They tell me i signed a legal contract. Funny thing is i never saw a contract and the service they are providing is bot what i was sold.. I am currently having my bank dispute the charges. STAY AWAY! This place is downright predatory! Spoke to their management. Basically threatened me with collections after i asked to be let out of the agreement they claim i'm in with them. it has been two weeks and they cant do anything about it. Their sleazy business model is to lie to you about the service, tell you everything you want to hear, secretly lock you into a 2 year contract and once they have you they have you. To back out of the contract, you're charged more for the entire year service to back out and they dont have to do any actual work. Predatory/sleazy business. We've never had pest control service before, didn't really see a need. Signed up for the quarterly insect and rodent maintenance and didn't really think much of it. But we recently had an issue with flies in our attic and treatment was covered under our plan. They came in fall and again today and addressed the problem. Our new tech Mike P is polite, diligent and took the time to explain what he did and the impact. We ran into an issue with yellow jackets this year. There were a few nests and Chris came out and was fantastic! He got rid of the nests and sprayed the perimeter of the house. We signed up for the good deal and they just put us on the schedule and didnt explain things to us.. he acted like he had a personal phone call and left.. we had no chance to ask questions. upon looking at the contract pretty much said we were stuck in the contract that we just signed or we would have to pay $250 to cancel... So here it is they were suppose to be here between Noon and 2pm and the guy shows up at 10:50 am trying to do my house after some weird text trying to change my time... i made accommodations to be home for noon. now its 3:15pm, Ive called twice and last time I was told I was next on the route, yet i should get a call 30minutes prior.... needless to say Ive never use Fox Pest. but after we finish this forced contract , we will never use them again! read more

We ended up scheduling services and they showed up twice yet my credit card was charge the total of six times I asked if they were going to refund the other four she said no because they came to the house and nobody was there they said that they called then we didn't pick up the phone so they said there was no response which is completely completely a lie I told her that I was going to call the credit card company and cancel so that they wouldn't be able to pull any more payments she goes okay that was her response okay and that was the end of the conversation talk about rude customer service well this company tops all of them will I ever recommend them to anyone absolutely not I can't even give them one star read more
