The team that works in this office were very professional, friendly, and listened and answered my questions. Having both legs treated, I am very happy with the results, the level of care and concern from this office on the treatment that I received. I would recommend this place for treatment based on the pleasant and professional treatment that I received.

I tried the stockings and other remedies but, nothing worked. I once had a guy grab my shoulder from behind and tell me that I had a large caterpillar behind my knee. Once he saw it was an enlarged vein, we had a good laugh but, you can tell he was embarrassed. That is my story ... Let's look at the clinic. Dr. Kaufman is an incredibly talented professional and understands the word 'communication.' He talks in a way the common person can understand, but more importantly, he listens. He never interrupts anyone including his staff or the patient. He is great with the knowledge of his talents and his hands compare to the first chair violinist at the Philharmonic. It is hard to put into words of this talented doctor. Some words would be incredible, amazing, extraordinary and phenomenal. Dr. Kaufman has hired an incredible staff. His nurse's and receptionists are friendly, energetic and extremely confident with the tasks they perform. The Ultrasound Technician, which is critical for the procedures, knows the anatomy of the vein structures and communicates to Dr. Kaufman for the successful operation. Dr. Kaufman listens to the Ultrasound Technician and trusts her direction for him to move the surgical instruments to the correct placement. Again, this where Dr. Kaufman displays great leadership skills. He has assigned his staff their duties and he has the confidence that they will perform them without having to 'hover over' them to be sure it is done. Because of the above, I can walk in shorts and the next time someone tells me there is a large caterpillar on my leg, there really will be one! Thank you, Total Vein Care. They truly are ... We were referred to Dr. Ahmad to have an angiogram done on her left foot after seeing the results of an ultra sound which was done prior to the decision to do the angiogram. The day of the procedure, everyone in the office was very friendly, helpful, and courteous to us in a professional manner. Dr. Ahmed explained in detail the procedure with caring and compassion and thoroughness of what would transpire and what the completed procedure would accomplish. We were elated when the results were explained after the angiogram and what Dr. Ahmed expected was exactly going on in her foot! There were major blockages in the arteries going to the foot and the blockages were successfully opened! The blood flow had been started again! Healing would and is happening! This from an insertion site just above the ankle! Dr Ahmed, you are the best!! Richard and Pat M.

Did you ever feel like you were being TAKEN? I'm sure…read morethere are patients who need and benefit from these services. Then there are those of us who have good insurance and are just taken for a RIDE. I was under the care of this center for over a year - multiple ultrasounds to keep ensuring I was "qualified" by insurance to treat mild cramping in my feet during travel or at night. They told me they could help - and it would be fully covered by insurance. And so it begins.... They would measure and remeasure at multiple visits to "be sure insurance qualified me". They even lost the measurement completely at one visit - asking me to come in again 'urgently' so they could get the measurement before my next appointment. I will leave the details out of this - but I know how ethical billing and medical treatment works. While the clinicians in practice at these centers seem genuine and kind - the back office billing and scheduling processes are complete disasters. I'm sorry these physicians have to practice there. But I'm regret that I was taken for a ride. United Vein sprung a "past due" bill on me a full year after treatment. I never never - EVER - received a statement from them. They had my email address wrong (one that I would have never given them - wasn't even me). They never called. They never sent paper statements. Absolutely outrageous. I've cancelled any/all future "consults" with them and would like to help others to NOT make the same mistake. Unethical practices.

He talked about it like he was a car salesman trying to make a deal with a customer. When I told him about how my circulation and skin color changed a lot at around 13, he literally laughed at me and said "That's just god's design. Nothing you can do about that." He didn't ask me any questions other than when my symptoms started happening. Nothing about my job, diet, exercise, possibility of pregnancy, nothing. He constantly brought up god when religion has no place in a doctor's office. When I told him about concerning blood work I got back from my primary doctor and offered to show him, he told me that was completely unnecessary and that there's no way any of that is related. I wish I had recorded the conversation because it was just the most ridiculous experience I've had with a medical professional.

Doctor Richard Fox lives fully up to the name "dick". He's got all of the personality of a dead…read morerodent and just about as much charisma. His bedside manner includes mocking patients for feeling pain. Pain that would not have been a problem had he not botched the surgery in the first place. A 'one hour surgery' turned into a ten hour sit waiting for the patient with no word of their condition. The patient was then sent home without a functioning oxygen bottle, constant pain, and two drains in their side. Due to the lack of functioning oxygen, the patient was rushed in the middle of the night to the ER. A phone call to the doctor resulted in no apologies, but further mocking. Why? Because the doctor had forgotten to turn the bottle of oxygen on, and, rather than accept the blame, pointed the finger at those untrained in the use of the bottle. The drains, over time, began filling with blood. 'Oh, but a bit of blood is expected' says the quack. But it wasn't a "Bit of Blood" it was a pool. Over the course of a month, the victim - no longer a patient - bled profusely into these drains, with constant pain, being told she was the "princess and the pea" by doctor dick. On November 12, a full month and several days after the initial surgery the victim woke in the middle of the night, swimming in a pool of blood, screaming. After being rushed by ambulance back to the hospital for a SECOND TIME, she was asked (and I quote) 'What the f*** are you doing back here.' Followed by the "doctor" attempting to re-dress the bandages, and as he walked away, a second bleed out began. Turns out, the moron nicked the pancreas, and didn't say anything about it. Pancreatic fluid, as we then learned, is much like undiluted stomach acid, and ate through the splenic artery, resulting in the victim nearly dying. Twice. During all of this, the victim couldn't eat and keep the food down. She was laughed at by Fox multiple times, and told "i don't know." Oh, and he gave her his recipe for a brisket. Silver linings. Come to find out when a real doctor took a look, that her stomach had swollen from all of this. Third time nearly dying. But hey, he's sure proud of that quarter inch of functional spleen she still has.

Breast cancer is a scary thing but even more frightening in the very beginning, when one has numerous questions and there is a daunting amount of information to process. Dr. Beckley's office was cognizant of this - all the staff in Dr. Beckley's office was so respectful and accommodating and they were able to get us in very quickly. Dr. Beckley was thorough when explaining the surgical process to us, but his competence and intelligence aside, he was understanding of my family's specific needs. English isn't my mother's first language, so we worked to have interpreters there. When that wasn't possible, he took time out of his busy schedule and called me to give me a summary of what he had discussed with my mother, to make sure that my family had all the right information. He personally stopped by after my mother's surgery to make sure she was doing well and held my mother's hand as he spoke to her. I could not have asked for a more caring and skilled surgeon. Thank you, Alpine Surgical and Dr. Beckley!
