The staff was initially very polite, took my dog back, and I paid for the services. In under a minute, they brought my dog back out, and said he did not need the procedure done. When I began to challenge and question, they replied that usually dogs show signs when this is needed. I responded that he had shown signs, has for weeks, and I've been doing this for six years with him and know when it's necessary. The staff was young and looked back at me with blank eyes. When I asked for a refund, since the service was not even done, I received a response of "I could get in trouble." Why not bring a manager out then? To not provide a needed service for my dog and then refuse to give me a refund is absurd.

You have to search hard to find an employee to help you find an item and when you do find an employee they behave like they really don't want to be there. The employees have no customer service characteristics at all. I just get a blank stare and no personality whatsoever like they are all on the spectrum. I needed to find a specific dry dog food and it was hidden behind all this other dog food, totally unorganized! On occasion they are out of stock of an item or I can't find it and struggle to find an employee to help me. The most recent incident I had was paying $149.00 for dog training sessions, the cashier gave me a starting date, I arrived with my dog and told the class is full. WHAT? Why was I not notified with a courtesy call and given a rescheduling date? Once again, poor customer service and an unorganized store! My guess is Petsmart pays low wages, therefore employees have low moral and very poor training. On a more positive note, there is one lady cashier who is really pleasant and helpful. Corporate needs to step up and smarten up and live up to their name Petsmart!

My wife scheduled an appointment with Vetco for 2/27 at 2:30pm because our dog had diarrhea. She…read morealso has a heart murmur, so dehydration is always something we take very seriously. The office texted earlier that day asking if she could come at 2:00pm instead. She said she would try. Unfortunately, rain and traffic delayed her, and she arrived at 2:10pm. The waiting room was empty and exam room doors were open, but she was told they could not see our dog because she was "late" for the earlier requested time and their schedule was completely full. They offered to reschedule for the next day. As a worried pet parent, that was incredibly frustrating and upsetting. She immediately called Banfield Pet Hospital (PetSmart). Even though they were fully booked, the receptionist kindly checked with the medical team. Within 30 seconds, he told my wife to bring our dog in. They were clearly very busy when she arrived, but you would never know it from the way she was treated. The entire team -- from the front desk to the vet tech to Dr. Gupta -- showed such kindness, compassion, and professionalism. They took their time, answered her questions, and never made her feel rushed or like she was a burden. As upsetting as her experience was at Vetco, we're incredibly thankful it led us to Banfield Animal Hospital of South Tampa. They earned a new client that day. Thank you PetSmart. Shame on PetCo!
