I have been a customer of Petsmart located at 3130 Tampa Rd., Oldsmar, FL for many years and slowly watched customer service decline. You have to search hard to find an employee to help you find an item and when you do find an employee they behave like they really don't want to be there. The employees have no customer service characteristics at all. I just get a blank stare and no personality whatsoever like they are all on the spectrum. I needed to find a specific dry dog food and it was hidden behind all this other dog food, totally unorganized! On occasion they are out of stock of an item or I can't find it and struggle to find an employee to help me. The most recent incident I had was paying $149.00 for dog training sessions, the cashier gave me a starting date, I arrived with my dog and told the class is full. WHAT? Why was I not notified with a courtesy call and given a rescheduling date? Once again, poor customer service and an unorganized store! My guess is Petsmart pays low wages, therefore employees have low moral and very poor training. On a more positive note, there is one lady cashier who is really pleasant and helpful. Corporate needs to step up and smarten up and live up to their name Petsmart! read more

Excellent and easy to book grooming services for a small long haired mixed breed dog.

Nightmare! The fellow who was his groomer.... nice guy, tried to be helpful.... but.... our puppy was left half trimmed... mattings half removed.... still dangling.... a mess. Store manager(also responsible for grooming) thought it was taking too long and had the groomer stop mid dog, blamed the dog. Would not even talk to me. Our regular groomer could not schedule.... so, been to a Pet Smart before.... generally ok..... Puppy was going to a Yappy hour... needed to look smart..... ended looking like he had been put through a blender. Hard to conceive of a worse experience. read more

Think twice before buying anything here. I recently bought a grooming brush for my cat from this store. The item was fully sealed in thick plastic, and I never opened or used it. I later found the exact same brush at another store for a much better price, so I decided to return the one I bought here. When I came in to return it, the staff asked for my phone number--even though I don't have a profile with them. I declined to provide it, and they told me they couldn't process the return unless I gave them my full personal information: my first and last name, and my phone number. Can someone please explain why my personal information is required just to return an unused, sealed item with a receipt? This experience felt unnecessarily invasive and made me very uncomfortable. read more

Linda & Jeanne are excellent at caring for and looking after the animals. However, the adoption process is shady and outright disrespectful. I would never consider visiting the shelter or the satellite location @ Petsmart again. The feeling I have in my stomach after my experience dealing with them is something I would never wish on anyone else. They made me feel like a scum-of the earth human who is not worthy of one of there cats. Animal adoption can be selective, but there is a right and wrong way to the process. These two women are exemplary of the wrong way to conduct an adoption agency/shelter. I would highly recommend exploring other options & staying away from the Pet Smart @ Tampa Rd & Curlew and Suncoast Animal League. read more

We take both of our dogs for grooming services at Petsmart in Oldsmar. Our 140 Black Russian Terrier gets the full treatment and she comes out happy and beautiful. Our little Chiweenie goes for a regular Pawdicure and he's always a happy boy with nice nails when he's done. read more

The staff is very helpful. The store is really clean. The bathroom is clean. The volunteers that take care of the cats are very nice.

This is a new location in the Woodlands Plaza in Oldsmar. We went for the pet grooming services, which were great. The staff is very helpful and patient with the dogs. Our groomer was Rowan and she did a great job on our pup! The only down side of this location is...the location. Being right next to the AMC 20 movie theater makes for a tough parking situation, even on a good day. read more

Come here as needed or to kill time. Was actually in the plaza to see a movie but arrived too early so had to kill some time. We came in here to look around and see if they had some treats and a chew toy for our Yorkie. I tend to stay away from the pet store because they are so much more expensive than larger retailers. We ended up getting a flavor chew bone that was $12.99. Our doggie of course didn't like it do we will be returning. Love that they do the occasional pet photos and that they offer grooming and pet classes. They also have onsite adoptions a few times a year. read more

Stay away from Tracy. I had wonderful interactions with 2 of the other groomers but twice when I made an appointment with her she called the day of my appointment and said that she couldn't groom him bc he needed a Vet's note bc he has a heart murmur. I got that note and said he was confused why the note was necessary. The 2nd time she called me on the day of my appt and said that appointments for him need to be called in and not made online because he has a heart murmur when the last appt. I made was done online and everything worked out great. she again said that she had been trying to reach me all week but I never have any record of phone calls from Petsmart. It's obvious she's just a petty person who enjoys making people's lives difficult. I'm sure everyone has come across people like that. read more

We had an appointment for our dog to get a hair grooming today and Tracey R. began cutting his hair and stopped. She said his hair was too long to be cut which isn't true because our regular location does it. Our dog's hair is long because he was unvaccinated last time we took him which we didn't know. Despite us paying for the petsmart insurance, no one ever notified us that it was time for another vaccine. So now our dog has a huge bald spot because Tracey either did not want to or does not know how to do her job as a groomer. Either way, unacceptable as we were not offered any other solutions by petsmart. read more

I will never take my dog back to this place and will avoid the store also. It is a nice, clean store, but employees are lazy and lie. After being up-sold on the benefits of a better package that included clipping her nails, then grinding them, brushing her teeth, clean her ears, and a bit of perfume. I was told my 20lb dog would not let them finish grinding her nails. So they stoppef and took $4 off the bill. I thought they had done the other items they up-sold me on, but they did not They did not even finish cutting all of her nails, and but still charged me an extra $9 for the poor attempt they made compared what the bill would have been for just trimming her nails (at least it was not $13 more to do nothing). Sadly I did not notice until I saw her back at home on the tile. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK! I should have listened to my girlfriend and avoided the "Big Box Store"... read more

The store is clean and easy to navigate. Busy on weekends. Especially when pet adoptions are happening in store. The aquarium staff members are always helpful even when we are just there to watch the fish. When we stop in for pet food or flea protection it's always an easy and quick trip thanks to the predictable store layout. read more

Do yourself a favor and run the other way! Called to schedule my 16 yr old. Was told about an express service which would have been perfect for introductory visit. I get a phone call Monday morning to reschedule our 9:00 am appointment-someone was sick. No problem and they offered a 25% discount. Rescheduled for Wednesday. Arrive at 9am - it takes a few minutes for anyone to acknowledge us because they are on the phone rescheduling appointments. After a few minutes I am told to have a seat, which I decline since it had a blanket of fur/hair on it and didn't think it will be a good look on my black pants. I stand there for 10 minutes waiting for someone to get off the phone. While standing and looking around I notice feces smears on the floor. At this point my patience is wearing-my husband is waiting in the car and is not the most patient man. Finally, someone comes to talk about my dog's health. I inform her she has no health issues other than arthritis. My dog is panting because she nervous being in a strange place , waiting longer than is acceptable and she hates getting groomed! The groomer informs me she won't work on her because of the panting, I tell her that it is normal for her. I am looking at this experience as a blessing in disguise....obviously there is an illness floating around, they are totally unreliable and I question the cleanliness. read more

Where to start? I always buy my cat food at this Petsmart because it is $4.70 cheaper than the Petsmart on US 19. So one time I go in and they were out. Fine. I go again the other day they're out again. They are also understaffed. So they tell me they're going to get a truck the next day. So today, four days later, I call them because the Internet says that they are out of the cat food I want, and to get the 25% off deal you're supposed to order online and pick up in store. The manager checks and tells me that they have it. So I call back and say since you have it, how can I still get the discount since I can't order it online? The person who answered the phone told me that unfortunately it is what it is. She was very polite, but I had to ask for the manager instead of her offering to get the Manager to adjust the price for me. So she asked the manager and the manager says yes, I can pick up the cat food for the cheaper price which was $20.27. Versus 24.95or $25 .95at the other Petsmart. So, on my lunch hour I drive over and the bag is waiting for me upfront. Great. I noticed that the cashier rings up for 2497 price or whatever the one that's basically $25, and I questioned her that it was usually $20.97. Instead of checking, she advised me that anything ending in $.97 was going to be discontinued and they must have decided not to discontinue it. Just thought of curiosity, I walked to the back of the store and there was the price tag as it hadHad always been marked $20.27. I double checked that it was the exact same product in the exact same weight. Indeed, it was. After multiple phone calls, and wrangling the website, I don't even care about the extra few bucks. I hand them the price tag and leave. What a mess that place is. Gave them one star because the people are pretty nice. read more
