We did not get a chance to try the food as we had the manager deny us a seat while holding our service dogs license and reading it. Then when pressed that our dog was in fact a service dog, and by law they must seat and serve us, he wanted us to use a back door and sit in an adjacent area where no other patrons were seated, and appeared to be some sort of storage area. We chose to leave at that point. Ohio has counties that now offer special dog tags for service animals so all purveyors can easily see that a dog is a service dog. Our service dog has this tag. We happily showed the manager the tag, upon request. This is when he said, "we have a problem" and told us that service dogs are big, like seeing eye dogs. We then noted that the tag is issued by the state and one must prove to the state that the dog is indeed a service dog in order to get one of these tags issued. There should have been absolutely no issue whatsoever. The manager was quite obtuse about service dogs, and started talking about people who have pets. We again noted to him that our dog is licensed and registered with the state and has her tag noting such. He kept repeating that he expected the dog to be big. When we informed him that many people use small dogs for alert dogs, for things like epilepsy or diabetes or Anxiety alerts and many other alert responses, they are service animals, not ESA's. He again stated that service dogs are big. He was told multiple times she was a service animal, and he was provided her certification and state issued license. He spoke English well enough that he cannot claim there was a language barrier or that he misunderstood. He isn't stupid, just rude and a violator of the rights of patrons with disabilities. When preparing to post this I did look at the comments and noticed that other people with disabilities, including another person with a service dog have had the same issue with this restaurant. I do not expect every restaurant manager to have gone to school for hospitality management and know everything they should to run a restaurant. I do expect all restaurant managers to understand basic laws they must adhere to, and if they are going to try and enforce a law, wether it be legal aged drinking or allowing only a service animal and not a pet in the seating area, that tat the very least they know what they are talking about and maintain a modicum of respect. This was not the case here. As I stated before this manager was rude, and I do not believe ignorant of the law, just the kind of ignorant that's discriminatory in word and deed when people with disabilities dare to attempt to eat at La Palma Mexican restaurant and Cantina. I do not recommend this place based on our experience, and the fact that the manner in which we were treated appears to be a pattern of discriminatory behavior towards people with disabilities.

She told me about the area of the Honey Comb Rooms, the restaurant etc. We were out at Mt. Hope and coming back from the ride we saw the sign and had to go see the place. It was snowing so we felt we were in a picturesque snow globe. We drove to the area of the Honey Comb rooms and it look so cool. We stopped by the Inn and spoke to this gracious young lady at the restaurant. She said it was open to the public as well. We also spoke to the person at the front desk and picked up pamphlets on what you can do in the area. The rooms looked pricey on the website, I'm not sure if it's a place I would stay. Maybe for a celebration of some sort. It's close to many different Amish Places.

What a wonderful surprise in a gorgeous forested area on a private understated property…read more Birds, trees, and accommodations built into their natural surroundings and under beautiful full grown trees. So much has already been said, but this is a natural respite from the world with all of the creature comforts. To anyone saying the property is somewhat outdated, I disagree and fully appreciated features like carpet in the honeycomb suites and in the dining areas. It keeps noise down from fellow diners and guests staying in rooms nearby. When can you ever say this in modern stark industrial hotels? This made the experience so cozy. And the place is clean!! It looks and smells fresh. The honeycomb suites are constructed from stone and wood, and it's so refreshing. The food is delicious and well-appointed on the restaurant menus - both brunch and apps and dinners. They change the menus frequently based on what's in season, as a natural property like this should be. Service! Also "outdated" in that it was actually great! Where can you receive personable service anymore? The front desk, hostesses, serving attendants, communication prior to check in, you name it. We were first timers but met many guests who have been returning for decades. We would count ourselves lucky to be able to do the same. Great experience. My only gripe, and it's a legit one, and it can be avoided: room service. It should not be served in plastic in a bag like carry out, at a romantic resort and at this price point. We opted for brunch in our room one morning, and were disappointed to find a bag of food on plastic. No. Beware of this and go the fine dining room to avoid this. I have never ordered room service anywhere in the world and had it delivered in this manner to a $500 per night room. This did not take away from the rest of our experience though, but diners should be warned.

While I was sitting on the couches to your right you can clearly see the wood underneath the couch cushions. Also they may need to be freshened up a little. I know that they took a great gamble in placing the couches in a fast food restaurant with lots of food and little greasy or ice cream hands. I did appreciate this fireplace, couch homey feeling. This is a typical pub style place solid bar scene with tvs and a lot of space. We sat down for some beers and food. We ordered veggie egg rolls for an appetizer which were pretty good. The blackened chicken Alfredo was pretty good as well. Not overly cheesy like some store bought ones. Boneless chicken was normal. The fries were different. Think wedges but thin. They were crispy and seasoned. Can't complain. The flatbread was small but the flavor was there. I have to say the service wasn't good. We ordered apps. And she didn't ask if we were ever ready to order. I had to wave her down. The chicken was wrong but again still good. She didn't acknowledge it or us really. I had to literally get her attention if we wanted something. Maybe she could tell we were from out of town, but she could've made a lot more off of us if she touched base with us a couple of times. For instance. We ordered a mock tail for my daughter. She finished the drink before her food came. We wanted to order a sprite and she didn't come back until she was completely done eating. Kids don't eat very fast. I'll probably try somewhere else for food and maybe stop for a 6er on the way out of town if I come back.
