Hubby has been raving about the donuts for YEARS. I finally got to try one. They are cake donuts and slightly better than Duck Donuts. I got the maple one and he got mocha. I didn't care for the mocha flavor (too much coffee flavor for me) but I loved my maple one. It has maple syrup glaze on it (I think). Not too big, perfect for a small treat. Cashier was nice, store is low maintenance (just write on the box), and they're made to order. We ate them right there. I did hear that he said he only had 7-8 donuts left and then they would close for the day. So I'm imagining they run out on some days. We tried to go to another location and they were long since closed up. Highly recommend!!

Fractured prune is such a unique donut experience. They are so good especially when they are warm. My friends were in town and trying for the first time so we basically got one of everything so we could all have a small taste of each. Literally every single one tasted delicious.

Tony and I stopped here this morning for breakfast on our way to Fenwick Island Delaware I opted to try the Black Forest with a raspberry sauce and chocolate chips and coconut shavings Tony went with the Myrna which included cinnamon cream topping dipped in chocolate and pine nuts They were both very good Love the name Definitely recommend to others

I'll admit that I'm totally a pastry/croissant girl versus doughnut but Fractured Prune may convert me. On a busy Sunday morning we stopped in to grab a dozen for the family. The shop itself is small and unassuming. They make each doughnut to order so our wait was about 20 minutes from order to walking out with the coveted treats. The strawberry shortcake doughnut caught my attention right away. We ordered that one, the lemonade, OC sand, pebble beach, & banana nut. Hands down the OC sand was the winner, so simple yet so incredibly satisfying, especially when warm. A dozen will put you back about $22. For less than $2 per doughnut is a steal. While the shops may appear slightly gimmicky, the doughnuts are heavenly, especially with a cup of coffee. Highly recommended!!

These donuts are next level! Was fascinated watching them making them. And they are warm!!! 10 outta 10

One of my personal favorites... a raspberry glaze with cinnamon sugar and chocolate chips

the perfect store where only the best of the best can work. never once have I had a problem with the staff or other customers. The food should be recognized worldwide for the size, taste, and shape. The workers were extremely fast when it came to making my donuts and a bagel. Even in tough times like what the fryer jammed they all had a smile and fixed it right away. Stop by on your next vacation It's a very memorable experience.

Fractured Prune makes awesome donuts, freshly made to order from donut to toppings so your donuts are hot & melty! THIS location however, I would choose elsewhere. Only because it's across street so the convenience factor is what brought us here. Here's what made our experience negative: one of donut makers wiped his gloves on a dirty rag on the counter where donuts are made, and continued to make donut orders. When I saw he was about to make our order I politely asked him to please put on new gloves because he touched the dirty rag. I photographed it, so you can see it's not an exaggeration. Allergies? He asked. I replied yes as I didn't want a confrontation. Regardless allergies or not, you should not be wiping disposable rubber gloves on a dirty rag. Just put on a new pair! We have been to other locations in past years and had great experiences. So we will be back..just not here. Also they don't accept the coupons from any of the books. That said, donuts are delicious! Love that they have menu or create your own. Just wish I could unsee the guy wiping his gloves on the dirty rag in middle of food prep. Ruined it for me. I'd give one star except the donuts taste amazing.

We tried these donuts while on vacation. The donuts are cake donuts and are made to order. The donuts are warmed up which provides a unique experience. We got a dozen with a mixture; strawberry shortcake, mocha, French toast, blueberry, mint chocolate chip, and chocolate chip. My favorite were French toast and strawberry shortcake. Great experience and recommend trying them out!

Filthy store at 11615 Coastal Hwy, Ocean City, MD 21842. Shame on this store, we came in for a small.coffee. Coffee station out of coffee, coffee stations and store filthy, rude staff, verbally bashed my wife for objecting to the lack of cleanliness. Have pictures of this disgusting mess, will share. Hope management addresses this.

Wonderful, warm made to order donuts. You can chose your glaze and toppings. Friendly staff.

How many times, in my entire life, had I actually tried one? Zero. But I was determined to change that during my solo birthday adventure to Ocean City this year. My first Fractured Prune donut in 41 years...I was more excited than I probably should have been. For those unfamiliar, Fractured Prune has been an Ocean City staple since 1976 and is known for letting you build your own donut masterpiece--starting with a hot, fresh donut and customizing it with glazes and toppings however you like. No pre-made rows of donuts here--just pure, creative, donut freedom. Since I was visiting in March (aka off-season), I wasn't even sure I'd get my chance. But I was thrilled to find this location open until 12pm on Saturdays. PERFECT. I got up early, watched the sunrise, and made my way over to finally experience the hype. I had studied the menu ahead of time because I knew if I didn't, I'd stand at the counter forever trying to decide. I landed on one donut--a Banana Nut Bread creation (banana glaze, cinnamon sugar, peanuts). I was attempting to show some level of restraint during a weekend that was otherwise...not about restraint. I walked in around 9:30am on a beautiful March Saturday and found a small crowd already inside. Clearly, even in the off-season, people know where to go. I placed my order, paid my $3.57, and asked if they had stickers as a little keepsake from my birthday trip. They were out, but the kind gentleman behind the counter offered me a magnet instead--which I happily accepted. A few minutes later, my number was called, and I was handed a purple box that felt...surprisingly heavy for one donut. I took it out to my car, opened the box, and immediately started to cry. I was on a solo birthday trip--my first one in a long time--and while I was doing my best to fill it with fun and new experiences, there was definitely a bittersweet edge to it. Inside the box weren't just my one donut--but two extra donuts and a handwritten "Happy Birthday!!" on the lid. It was such a small gesture, but it meant everything in that moment. It made me feel seen. It made me feel celebrated. And honestly, it made my entire day. The kindness of the people working there didn't have to exist--but it did, and it mattered. After I pulled myself together (and stopped crying over my donuts), I finally took a bite. I get it now. I fully get the hype. The donut was incredible--served warm, soft, moist, and perfectly cakey, with the banana glaze, cinnamon sugar, and peanuts all working together in the best possible way. It took serious self-control not to demolish all three donuts right there in the car. I'm not even sure I've ever had a truly fresh, hot donut before this--but if this is the standard, Fractured Prune has set the bar very high. For $3.57, this was one of the best purchases I've made in a long time--and eating it in the sunshine during my birthday adventure is a memory I won't forget anytime soon. Logistically, it's easy: free parking in a nearby strip mall, quick ordering, and fast service. Just note--there's no indoor seating. You grab your donuts and go...which honestly isn't a bad thing when "go" can mean taking them to the beach just a few minutes away. Fractured Prune is officially on my "must-do every time I'm in Ocean City" list. And next time? I'm not pretending I'm only getting one donut!

When I went to pay, he was slouched down in his chair, still on his phone. They told us they could seat our party of 8, then split us across two separate tables. When our server, Hattie, asked if we were "together" with the other table, we said no -- by that point we were sitting completely separately with no way to even coordinate with each other. Despite that, she charged us the large party 20% automatic gratuity. Food came out at completely different times for each table (our table finished eating while the other was still waiting on their order), and drinks were brought separately too. When we brought up the large party gratuity given how mismatched the service was, Hattie brushed off everything we said and didn't address any of it. On top of all that, I found white hair in my food... to their credit, they did take it back and replace it without argument. They also only had paper cups, and the water tasted like it came straight from a hose, while the apple juice was watered down. I asked for a water refill twice and never got one. And to top it off, the food had no seasoning at all. Save yourself the trouble, go somewhere else.

I tried a couple pieces of a couple of them, and not one was enticing enough to actually desire to eat the whole thing. I'm a KK or DD fan too, and I only like 2 donuts made by FP, and they are the plainer ones. Note... they will do custom donuts, so if their suggestions are over the top, tell them what you want. They are cake donuts and there is a toppings bar (think: Subway) where you chose your glaze and toppings, and they make it in front of you. My issue was that sprinkles were in glazes, glazes in sugar, and it was all very messy. It kinda grossed me out. And there you have it. It's a novelty.
