7-Grain bagel with avocado, tomato and lettuce
    Annie L.

Lucky to have stumbled upon this local hideaway serving up fresh bites with a welcome to the family vibe. Take your pick of a wide selection of bagel varieties, toppings and breakfast pastries to boot. I went with a 7-Grain topped with avo, tomato and lettuce. Toasted to perfection, the bagel had that delicious dense chew to crunch ratio. The avocado was fresh and creamy, providing a winning "avo bagel" breakfast. Will certainly become a morning staple stop during our weekend stay in town!

This place is one of the best bagel spots in OCMD. The line is out the door and moves quick. They were out of the crab cheese but the Lox cream cheese is just as good. I had the sausage egg and cheese on an everything bagel and it was perfection. The bagel style is chewy and will make you feel like your in NYC.

My boyfriend and I came to Ocean Pines for a Valentine's day get away & we were very excited to find a breakfast sandwich place very close to our AirBnB. Perfect for a lazy, rainy Saturday. In terms of COVID, they've adjusted their seating area to create ample space between tables & placed a barrier of chairs around the registers/display cases to protect their workers. Workers are all wearing masks behind some plexiglass barriers too. The turkey sausage, egg, pepper jack cheese everything bagel sandwich was delicious. 10/10 would eat again. Would have liked some hot sauce to go with it but they did have ketchup. The blueberry bagel was very soft on the outside and had a good chew. Sun dried tomato was a bit hard at first (maybe a day old?) But when sliced and toasted with chive cream cheese it was pretty good. The small blueberry cheesecake was a perfect size for dessert but not too indulgent. Very creamy and plenty of blueberry compote on top, with very plumb blueberries. All in all, this place is a gem!

We usually take a pic of food uneaten, but I couldn't resist when I opened up the foil.

Wow!! This bagel is amazing! My girlfriend has made me a bagel diva over the years, trying the best in NYC, and this...is...a great bagel! I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese on Everything and she had the onion bagel with cream cheese. The Everything truly had everything and was fully covered in it. Perfectly cooked Boar's Head thick bacon (and I'm a stickler for bacon), melted white american along with the egg, meshed together "to keep together" (not messy) a solid sandwich that just made me a very happy man. After hearing the guy in front of me order, I asked to add jalapeños. Clutch move! Do it. And her onion bagel was so well coated with big size chunks of toasty onions. There's so much flavor. Nevermind the previous negative review someone left about toasting the bagel. A legit bagel doesn't need toasting. The outside had the perfect crisp to it. And lastly, the service and atmosphere was fantastic. The girls were all hustling and very attentive. I believe her name is Peggy, at the counter? Super sweet. Made me feel at home. When I walk in a place as a first-timer and notice cheerful repeat customers conversing with the staff it tells me something. We recently moved to the area, originally from Montgomery County, and once having access to Bethesda Bagel, I am VERY glad to have found this place. I'll be back and am very excited to tell others! A Bagel and...A job well done!

I occasionally get a bagel here & have no complaints. Try the Nova bagel or when in season the crab dip spread. Really tasty

Customer Service: Hands down the best we experienced during our 9-day family trip to OCMD. Karri, our waitress, made us feel like family, loved her. Jeff & Mike were professional, friendly, and made a point to engage with every table. Breakfast? PHENOMENAL. Best we've had, not just this summer, but in all our years visiting OCMD. My wife and son agree. Everything was homemade and cooked to order. No frozen shortcuts. Portions were just right, flavors balanced beautifully, and nothing overly sweet. Nashville Hot Stuffed French Toast: The bourbon and caramelized apples stole the show. Chicken was a fun twist, though next time I'd get it on the side to keep the sweet and spicy separate. You can skip the chicken altogether and save $4 if you'd like. Banana Foster French Toast: Mind-blowing. The kind of dish that makes you question everything you've ever called "breakfast." Plate was licked clean. Already dreaming of it for summer 2026. Creamed Chipped Beef over Biscuits: Shared this one. Generous portion, nostalgic flavor, clearly a recipe passed down and perfected. Triple Decker: My son had the chocolate chip pancakes, huge portion, perfect texture, and he loved every bite. Only minor con: straws come unwrapped in your drink. Not a dealbreaker, but something to note. Final score: 25/25. Solid A+. Verdict: Highly recommended. We'll be back in summer 2026, no question.

Because of that, we respectfully asked about getting a refund. The staff told us only a manager could approve refunds, but the manager wasn't there at the time. No alternative solution was offered -- not a replacement meal, store credit, or any way to help resolve the situation. Since this is a family-owned restaurant it left us feeling stuck and unheard as customers. I understand policies exist, but spending that much money and leaving without being able to eat the food or get help addressing the issue was very frustrating. I hope management can improve how situations like this are handled so other customers don't have the same experience.

The food was amazing. The pour over, fresh ground coffee served with a shot glass of sparking water to refresh the palate set the stage for the care and level of food quality and service we could expect. The egg and cheese quesadillas were mouth watering and left us wanting for more. The egg and chorizo Mexican torta was so huge I didn't think I'd be able to eat it all, but each bite was rich with authentic Mexican flavors that I couldn't stop. We topped it off with the beautifully baked concha bun that finished us off perfectly. The location is great with plenty of parking and once warmer temperatures come, sitting outside on the patio next to the water will be the place to be. Can't wait to go back!

All of the appetizers and entrees we loved were gone. Food was bland, no flavor at all. Cheesesteak egg rolls full of chewy fat and the only flavor was overpowering green chilies. Who takes Ahi Tuna off the appetizer list? Apparently the "chef" in charge is making very bad decisions and needs some continuing education classes. Sadly we won't be back. Shame though, we really enjoyed it before all of the changes even though the service was always slow, the food made up for it, not so much now.

Of course, Pittsburgh with warm center. Substitute a whole sliced tomato for the potato, (delicious) and perfect grilled asparagus. I still brought home enough for a generous steak sandwich! My wife had the happy hour fish bites. They were fluffy and expertly prepared. Back to the steak... there is a shortage of good steakhouses in the area and I am hoping they will add fresh cuts to the menu as exceptional offerings become available. The chef did an outstanding job preparing the steak, rivaling Bones and Chops in Atlanta, and Cattleman's in Fort Worth. Still a half step from Chicago's Harry Carey's, but at a price point at or less than half. Folks, I hesitate to rave, for fear that I can't get in, or they will run out of steak, but if you want a superlative steak dinner, at a bargain price, join me at Pines. The bone in Ribeye is the best I've had in quite a while, including Texas. Julian is the best. His enthusiasm alone adds to the great experience.
